I haven't been able to get a response to an email since they told me my car was sold in November. No response to emails on 6th, 12th, 22nd December and 4th January, no response Whatsapps on 23 and 26 December, and now their phone lines aren't working. Am getting worried they’ve gone out of business and still have my car!
Can highly recommend this company for service and customer care. Provide a no pressure relaxed yet informative car buying experience. William and his team work hard to make sure the cars are prepared superbly for sale. Well maintained and beautifully presented at their rural premises.
Disappointing Experience
Tried to do a deal with this garage but found William to be completely unfair. I was told the 2-year extended warranty included in the deal was worth £1,400–£1,500. After doing my own research and reading poor reviews about the warranty, I asked if they could instead knock £1,500 off the price. William refused, clearly exposing that the warranty isn’t worth what they claimed.
This garage seems more focused on pushing finance through quickly, possibly to pressure you into finalising a deal on an overpriced car. They even hiked the car price by £1,000 just because the sun came out!
I tried again to come to an agreement, but William began ignoring me completely. Based on this experience, I had no choice but to leave this review. Would not recommend.
My wife and I had been looking for a Mustang convertible for a while, but didn't want black grey or white, so when this one came up I contacted William straight away and left a £99 deposit through autotrader
the trip down to see the car was 3hrs away, but with all the roadworks and a stop for a coffee it took us nearly 6hrs,
Anyway when we arrived the car was having a freshen up after having wheels re-furbished and a couple of tyres, The first thing William did was to make us a needed cup of tea.
We are not that compulsive car purchasers keeping our cars for a long time so we are a bit out of touch the way it goes nowdays.
We had a good look around the car and a test drive and decided to purchase the car, not realizing we could take the car straight away, so a quick journey to the bank before it closed and we were sorted.
William and Tom sorted the insurance and road tax and we was on our way.
All in all it was a lovely experience and a pleasure to do business with William, we are over the moon with our dream car.

Excellent customer service a great purchasing experience, very highly recommended. Safe secure high quality personal attention. Very responsive. I admit I was nervous buying online through a very well known motor trading website. I researched the company online and wondered if it was too good to be true? I bought a low mileage Maserati Quattroporte and William Tom and colleagues could not have been more helpful. They offered a very fair part exchange for my car and arranged delivery and collection at a convenient time. The car is lovely, everything I had hoped for. During the purchase I had all the worries about transferring large sums of money by internet but they were very security aware and were very helpful with my double checking. There was a very minor glitch with the V5C document but Tom handled it in person waiting patiently on the phone whilst I logged in to DVLA to get the car taxed.

Just purchased ford ranger wildtrak from Targa Florio cars. really pleased with the truck and I think the best colour lucid red. William and Tom were very helpful great customer service and a nice cup of tea.

I just bought an Orange 2020 Exige Sport 410 from Targa Florio Cars.
I received fantastic customer service from beginning to end. The car was as described on their website and a great low mileage example at a fair price. I dealt with Tom throughout and he was very knowledgeable and completely straight with me throughout our dealings from our first phone call to handing over the keys..
He even picked me up from the station when I came to take delivery of my car.
He made the whole process of looking and buying the car a thoroughly enjoyable one for me. When I am looking for my next car I will definitely be going back to him.
I would recommend Tom and Targa Floria Cars without reservation.

EXCEPTIONAL AFTER SALES
I rarely write reviews but felt the need after my experience with Targa Florio Cars. An exceptional and professional experience from start to finish, ESPECIALLY after sales!
I purchased a 2017 Audi S3, 31k, full history which was priced very competitively. No need to haggle as it was a great price!
I dealt with Tom who was friendly, professional and knowledgeable without being remotely pushy. Tom met me from Chichester Station and took me to the showroom. I test drove the car, was all good so bought it.
On the drive home a warning light came on saying “Gearbox Malfunction continue driving and switch off when stopped” I called Tom when I got home and he, without hesitation, said to take the car into my local garage and see what the issue was, and not to worry as the issue would be rectified.
The issue was found to be the Mechatronic unit, which on research can be an issue at any mileage, and some owners have reported the failure after 500 miles.
As the car came with an RAC warranty this SHOULD have been covered by that warranty but the RAC said that as the issue was discovered so early, it must have been a pre exciting fault. I looked at the extensive check list the RAC insist the dealer does, and plugging the car into diagnostics is NOT one of them and this would be the only way to establish this fault.
Fearing I would now be facing a bill into thousands, I spoke with Tom who again could not have been more helpful. The RAC refused to budge and Tom paid for the repair at my local VAG Independent garage. Tom liaised with the garage directly and they also sang the praises of Tom and Targo Florio Cars for the contact and very prompt payment to them.
I would highly recommend purchasing a car from Tom and Targa Florio cars.

Customer Service was brilliant when going to collect the car and was in perfect condition. Would happily purchase from them again.

Are fairy tales real?
I believe they may be.
I’ve been looking at literally hundreds of web sites and showrooms across the UK to replace what was stolen from me a year ago, but nothing advertised anywhere made my heart miss a beat in excitement enticing me to make a call to a showroom or open up a live chat on a website. I was willing to travel across the country to find what I was seeking, but alas……….
I was on the verge of accepting nothing I had stolen could be replaced, and perhaps it may be time to look at another type of vehicle due to historic searches being in vain, then Targa Florio ( Performance, Luxury & Sports Used Cars, West Sussex | Targa Florio Cars ) just happened to come up on one of my very last attempts to look for what I wanted.
I refer to the classic Land Rover Defender 110 XS TDCI.
I looked at their website to view the specs and images, and I was not disappointed.
Before getting too excited, I researched their reviews……….I then started to get a tad excited, being their reviews are excellent. From the review stats, I thought I’d go for their live chat booking in an attempt to make a potential viewing/test drive.
I then got really excited when within minutes of my live chat, I got a call to carry out a follow up of my interest in the Defender.
I was called by William who pleasantly introduced himself and broke the ice by talking to me……..Yes, Talking to me. Talking to me as a person not just a potential buyer, talking to me with attention and not just looking to force a sale, talking to me about my interest in the vehicle and not just looking to close a deal. William described the vehicle explicitly, and it all matched with what I was seeing on their website.
William and I agreed a viewing/test drive of the Defender, so I travelled down to Chichester ( not a great distance from my home town, so an added bonus) to view/test drive the vehicle.
On arrival at Targa Florio, I saw the classic in “Real Life”. What a sight too. Exactly as described (if not more) exactly as portrayed on their web, exactly what I was seeking. It was a no brainer, and I had to follow my instincts and agree to buy.
Continuing the purchase, I met with Tom.
Tom was the person (yep, person: Not sales rep, not agent, not middle man, not deal closer) I met with to formalise the sale.
Like William on the initial call, Tom was (is) a genuinely sincere and caring person. During the sales process, I had a few technical challenges with online insurance purchase and vehicle taxing, but Tom managed to pull rabbits from hats to make magic happen, allowing me to drive the Defender home same day.
After 24 hours of owning the Defender, I noticed a couple of cosmetic things of concern, so called Targo Florio to explain. Tom answered my call and without hesitation, I was asked if I could take the vehicle to a local garage, or if I’d like to take the car back to Targa. I opted for Targa, and Tom was genuinely pleased with the fact I was happy to make the effort to drive the car back.
I was not expecting what followed:
Cutting a long story short, I was told that I’d be given a courtesy car at no expense to me for the duration my recent purchase was with Targa. I dropped off my Defender, drove home in the courtesy car, all without a hitch.
I only have one negative thing to say about Targa Florio, and that is there is no ability on any website to give a 10/10 rating. All ratings are just 5 star reviews.
In essence, my experience with everyone and everything about Targa Florio since initial call to final sale to date has been amazing, so I’m voting 10/10
I’m not forgetting the unsung heroes behind the scenes who never seem to be mentioned, such as admin staff, valets, delivery drivers you name it.
If ever I need to, I will never look for another car anywhere until I’ve looked at Targa Florio.

Recently bought a Porsche Boxster from this company. My experience has only been positive and dealing with Tom was a pleasure. The car was not one of the most expensive but I felt that they dealt with me in a manner that belied that fact. Everything about the car was spot on and they had gone the extra mile making sure it was as good as could be.
My impression of the people there is that they genuinely care and that is a rare thing indeed
