Helped my son initially with revision

Helped my son initially with revision. I paid for extra subjects but a couple of weeks before his GCSE’s when it would have helped with last minute revision subjects disappeared and he couldn’t access them. Very frustrating and think Tassomai need to revise. It’s shame because was helpful up to this point.

Hi, thanks for leaving a review and sorry to hear you've had a problem. Your Extra Subjects subscription shouldn't end until after your child's last exam unless there's been an issue with payment. We will look into this further if you want to get in touch via email but we'll need a few more details from you to help us investigate.

Please do not waste your money.

I believe this is a waste of money, in all regards it is an ok website but it is difficult to keep up with when it comes to actually learning the answers to the questions. And quite often, questions that have not been taught are being brought up and if you get the question wrong well, personally, not much insight is offered as to why exactly you are wrong and/or what the answer means.
Its the equivalent of lazy teaching, teachers giving students formulas for questions but not telling them WHY or HOW it works, just telling them to plug numbers in and get on with it.
And yes I am aware there is a button that occasionally pops up from time to time, offering support from an "AI" (Large language model), but it is the smallest button and do you think some kid that's being forced to do their homework is going to bother with that tiny button in the top right? Because I for one, certainly do not.

Now, the little bonus point starters sometimes link to BBC bitesize but don't actually offer you the '2.00x' points but rather stops at '1.09x' (or something around that point) and quite often these websites DO NOT help in the slightest, there are also short videos you can watch. These videos are as dull as a dishwasher, frankly. How are kids meant to sit through it with next to no stimulation what so ever?

In all this website is nothing short of mental anguish.
I suggest you refrain from wasting your money and time on this. Schools and parents alike, need to understand that it is not as good as it is made out to be.

Sorry to see you have given Tassomai a low rating and our team are keen to address some of the points you’ve raised. We’re assuming you’re a student who gets Tassomai through their school and it’s set as homework by your teachers.

Regarding your point about topics being quizzed that haven’t been taught yet… This may seem unusual but it’s actually a deliberate strategy called “Flipped Learning” that’s proven to help. It’s one of the scientific approaches to learning that Tassomai is based on. You can read more about the principles behind Tassomai here: www.tassomai.com/science-of-learning.

Re the AI help function (www.tassomai.com/mai) and videos, these are both included to give students access to additional learning resources and immediate support when they need it most. The explainer videos that we produce ourselves are deliberately short, usually around 1 minute long. The content might not be that exciting but they are related to the topics in upcoming GCSE exams.

We do appreciate feedback - and we do consider it when we develop the product. If you would like to discuss Tassomai with one of our team, or our founder, we would be happy to chat to you.

Not trying to be rude but not that good.

I am sorry, but tassomai did not help my child at all. He is failing his exams, and all he knows is ''Mitocondria is the powerhouse of a cell'' or something or other. I looked at it and all it has is this so-called ''Snazzy'' person called Mai that is supposed to ''Help'' you with your work. All Mai does is repeat the question in a different phrase.

Hi, sorry to hear your child isn't finding Tassomai helpful. Do get in touch if you'd like to discuss further, we'd be happy to talk to you about how they're using it and see if we can improve the experience for them. You also mentioned our AI tutor Mai... Mai does have a couple of pre-prepared prompts and sometimes these repeat the question in more detail, but students can ask Mai anything they want by typing their own questions. Most students tell us they find the feature really helpful. If you take a look at the examples on www.tassomai.com/mai you can see the sort of responses students get from Mai.

Great flash cards

Used this app for 2 years, it helps my son with revisions. Obviously if your kid doesn’t know the answer, he has to look for it and take some notes, avoid guessing.

Great to refresh knowledges.

Noah will not recommend for Maths, but great flash cards for geography languages and sciences.

This app works for my son.

Thank you guys.

A fantastic resource with huge benefits to students and teachers

Not only is Tassomai hugely beneficial to students to help them to learn the key facts needed in the science course, but it has huge potential for us as teacher to analyse and use the data in a way that makes a different to the students’ learning. The team at Tassomai are superb; responsive and willing to help us set up the best system that is tailored to our students in our school. The students have engaged well with its introduction and are already telling us that it is making a difference to their learning and revision. A low effort, high impact tool that we really value having. Highly recommended.

Tassomai is the worst s**t i have ever…

Tassomai is the worst s**t i have ever done. My dad did GCSE science and still cant answer some of the questions that i get. i am in year 7. Some of the answers arent the same as googles and their new bot tells you the wrong answers. It is not even relevant to what you learn in school. and if you get 1 or 2 questions wrong you lose like 16 points. do every one a favour and take it down.

Hi, sorry you're not a fan, if you want to get in touch with more feedback or suggestions for improvements we're happy to hear them. Note that the content on Tassomai is mapped to the specification for each subject's exam boards, so it's all very relevant. Hopefully if you're continuing to use Tassomai in school you'll feel the benefit when you come to take your exams.

Futile

This website is literally useless, it's not helped me remember anything, there has been no measurable effect. I looked up the advertisement for teachers, and all the maths I could see was calculating how much time is spent marking. That's all. Teachers are just using this to get out of marking. I can't tell if they're naive or selfish. This is the educational equivalent of snake oil.
The multiple choice answer system is very flawed, as it doesn't allow for answering questions the way exams do, as, let's be honest, that's the only reason anyone's doing this. I think a system where you type your own answers in would be better, as otherwise your just choosing the least silly answer. That question timer is bloody infuriating, as well, it's just long enough to be supremely irritating, but just short enough to not allow you to absorb the pertinent information.
Also, that AI is so annoying, I wish it would get straight to the answers instead of faffing around with all those emojis. I know asking for the AI to have it's personality removed makes me seem like a Scrooge, but that AI is so saccharin it's giving me toothache.
In conclusion, this is just a get-rich-quick scheme for some con men that try to convince themselves that they're helping someone so they can sleep at night. Don't buy it, don't reward these people with your money, honestly, clubbing the user over the head would probably do them the same, if not more good.

Simple design, quite effective, few issues

First of all, I'd like to acknowledge all the bad reviews that Tassomai is receiving. Around half of these is just unsupported dislike and hate, such as the questions taking forever to complete. There is literally an option to help if you are stuck.
Now, Tassomai is great if you want to do some quick revision. The extra videos for revision are optional, and the trees let you see how well you are progressing. There are sometimes some bugs, such as now, my Tassomai courses aren't showing what I have to earn for my daily and bonus goals, and repeatedly assuring me that the bonus goal is complete despite the daily goal being incomplete.
Other than that, Tassomai is really useful, enough for me to end up using it for a few years.

Tassomai is the reason my dad left

Tassomai is the reason my dad left. My father got so distraught at the repeated sight of the stress inducing, disturbing questions on my phone screen that he left us. Each time a question appears on my screen a little bit of me dies inside. Before I got tassomai I was happy, friendly and kind. Tassomai has ruined my life and I hope whoever created it suffers until the end of time itself.

Takes too long and random questions.

Started at around 8:30 am, still stuck on questions that I haven't been taught about at 10:00 am.

Forced to do a "leapfrog" thing that makes you redo questions until you get them right. Incredibly frustrating, I'd rather take detentions than use this app.

Amazing learning tool for science ^-^

I don't know why people say this app is so bad, I really like the tree function and my daily goal literally takes 3 minutes to do, it's not even that hard

It's a good side tool for learning and the AI bot mai is also very useful. My teachers can see my class's learning as well

I'd also like sound effects (like when you answer a question) and themes which you can redeem with points to make the UI more enjoyable and make students more engaged

Doing tassomai everyday is now my new goal :) tysm for helping my learning

p.s why 3 stars only
