I used to take pride in doing my own taxes, "saving myself money", but not this time. The amount of my return isn't worth what they wanted for doing them with their software. This is like my 4th or 5th year with them, just say I'm not happy.

I think I paid to much to file when all I really wanted was a copy of 2024 tax forms. And very confused and unsure about the IRS ID.me site you sent me to; couldn't figure it out, got very frustrated and couldn't file in time for cut off which will probably cost me even more. Would of been nice to know if I clicked mail a check I could of continued on your site to file in time, but no where did it say that.

Fees are not transparent
I don't like how the site was not transparent about additional hidden fees, especially with regards to "using refund to pay for filing." That is just as sneaky and underhanded as TurboTax, and I came here to get away from that. Fees should be listed overtly.

I went through all of the motions to…
I went through all of the motions to file, paid, and figured I was done. It had been several days and I hadn't received my return, usually they come pretty quick. I logged back in and I guess there was still more work to do regarding filing after the payment. So I ended up filing my taxes late, even though I had a receipt showing I paid on 4/10. Pretty frustrating. I ended up finalizing the taxes but not finding out until 4/21 kind of irked me.
