I ordered a camera back in November, and it still hasn’t arrived. Every time I reach out for an update, they just keep delaying the delivery without providing a concrete explanation. This level of service is completely unacceptable, and it’s incredibly frustrating. I’ve been patient for months, but this is beyond reasonable now. I do not recommend ordering from Ted's Cameras based on my experience.
I placed an order for an online purchase twice by mistake. Ted’s staff were excellent. They understood my request arranged a refund for the additional item and kept me informed throughout the process. Refund took 3 working days.
Order never turned up. Shipping said 7 days and over a month still nothing.
Ordered and waited a month for delivery of my Sony A7C II. There was no updates. my emails were being ignored. In the final months of December i finally reached them through chat and was told they are awaiting their Sony shipment and that once it comes, they will send out my camera. Still no ETA was provided, no email stating they have recieved their shipment prior to dispatch or no information while i waited. Communication was very poor.
Ordered something online to collect in store. When it failed to turn up they failed to respond to my email enquiry. Ended up having to drive to the shop and requested a refund, as the staff there had no idea when/if it would ever arrive.
I ordered a camera which was only available through their online store. Made it through the checkout process. Had the money deducted from my account only them to email me the next day saying it’s sold out? How do you manage to do that? Don’t advertise something you don’t have. They asked me to email them back asap which I did and it took them a full 30 hours to respond. I can’t even purchase a camera at a different store since I have to wait for my refund. What a joke.
Wanted to find out information on a second hand lens listed online, a Nikon 16 35 F4. Sent anonline query on Tuesday, then again on Wednesday and since there was no reply I visited TEDS Pitts St store today , Thursday. Apart from been treated like some sort of idiot be the sales assistant I was told that he could not help me and that I call the 1300 number. I asked him to do that since I had no success with that avenue of contact. He too failed and told me there was nothing he could do!
On Saturday 15th September 2018 I bought a Manfrotto NX Bodypack Sling Bag Navy for $49.95 from the Camberwell Store so I can protect my Panasonic HC-VX985 4K Video Camera from being dropped, scratched and scraped.
Absolutely atrocious customer service. Rang to understand why there was a discrepancy in pricing between advertised prices on a camera. Was told that they don't have any stock and wouldn't be ordering any more to sell at a discount price. Why advertise it then? Just for info - did a price match on the discounted item with JB Hi-Fi. They were more than happy to sell below Ted's discount price. Will never bother wasting time with Ted's again and will be sharing my experience widely.
I ordered a cable that I am supposed to click and collect. It is supposed to take four days. That was over a week ago. They did deduct the money immediately but I have not heard from the company about collecting my item. I have sent emails but they have sent me a message telling that they are behind in responding to their emails.
