I thoroughly enjoyed the tefl course "Teaching Young Learners". The course was well presented and clear. The 2 assignments at the end were challenging but all the information needed to complete them was there.

My experience with TEFL has been incredibly rewarding — both professionally and personally. It deepened my passion for language teaching and gave me the tools to support learners of all ages and backgrounds. Through lesson planning, classroom interaction, and reflective practice, I developed a strong foundation in communicative methodology, grammar instruction, and student-centered learning.

I love the progression in the lessons. It is very helpful for people who don't have a teaching background. The Tutor/Teacher (Joanna) who graded my assignments was so helpful. I have learned so much! I can't wait to start teaching/tutoring!

Everything was laid out for me to learn what I need in order to teach in class and remotely online. I enjoyed watching the classroom example videos and learned a lot in the few months that I took the course. I feel confident enough now to teach English to students around the world.

Your methodology teaching is great. I have been teacher for many years and yet I found your course precious: clear and exact.
I would shorten the length of explanatory parts and add more shorter clips of teaching praxis (ex. how to elicit vocabulary learning etc.).

This 140-hour TEFL course provides me with comprehensive and structured materials. The feedback given is concise and understandable. My teacher gives me a lot of ideas in planning the lesson and lets me have more chances to improve my assignment to the best. Besides, teaching practices during online weekend classes also prepare me for having a real teaching classroom. It's really beneficial to support my career. Overall, it's worth it.

I really enjoyed this course! Each module was self-paced, ‘chunked’ and interesting and the feedback from my tutor was always personalised and useful. Highly recommend. Thank you.

I am a young writer with a Bachelor in Writing and Literature, a Master’s Degree in Novel Writing, and soon a Master’s in Contemporary Creative Writing. As an enthusiast for writing, teaching English, and traveling, I enrolled in the TEFL Org 120-hour course, paying 180 euros thanks to their so-called “September discount”—a discount that conveniently renews every week. What I received in return was not education but a strange masterclass.
My tutor’s approach to feedback was not grounded in knowledge, experience, or even logic. Instead, he is an AI detector zealot, basing every judgment on algorithms rather than his own expertise. He even sent me screenshots of these tools “flagging” my carefully polished lesson plans as AI-generated because I kept using the same plan to teach but rewording the resubmissions since that’s what the vague feedback instructed me to do. Should I be flattered that my human craft confuses a machine? The best came when I included a simple “wrap-up feedback activity”—a standard teaching practice in my opinion—and his precious program rejected it because it didn’t recognise the activity. In other words, my creativity and professionalism were branded “fake” simply because they did not fit into his narrow, computerised worldview.
What makes this worse is the hypocrisy. My tutor’s feedback itself is nothing but boilerplate—repeated, impersonal, and entirely detached from my work. Each time I submitted a plan, I was greeted with the same recycled accusation of AI use, but never with specific evidence or clear examples. The irony is blinding: I was accused of relying on AI while the feedback I received read as though it had been generated by one. Respect goes both ways. If students are expected to provide original, thoughtful work, then tutors should provide the same in their evaluations.
As a writer, I take pride in the polish of my language. To be told that my work is “too polished” to be human is insulting and dismisses years of study, practice, and dedication. This course has been demoralising, not because of its subject matter, but because the process of feedback was turned into a witch hunt rather than a learning experience. Being accused of misconduct without evidence is a serious breach of academic integrity—and to see it become the foundation of this course’s pedagogy is outrageous.
In conclusion, what could be a valuable qualification is instead undermined by hypocrisy, incompetence, and blind reliance on AI detection tools. The lack of genuine, personalised feedback and the presumption of guilt erode both the dignity of students and the integrity of the programme. Unless TEFL Org reforms these practices—prioritising respect, evidence-based assessment, and actual teaching over algorithm worship—students will continue to pay dearly for an experience that feels more like a farce than an education.
I would avoid this course if you value your time, your dignity, your sanity, and of course, your money.
