Total cowboys. Steer clear. They’ll take your money and run.

I am getting a new small chihuahua puppy and didn’t want to go the the expense or trouble of having and actual hole cut in my glass balcony door. The idea of a temporary, removable pet door insert sounded great. Too great actually. I should have trusted my first instincts. This company are cowboys. I started off by looking at the products they have on their website. I was a little confused, it wasn’t clear exactly what I needed to order, so I asked if they were able to send someone out to measure up. This is a service they don’t offer. Just send some photographs Laluna said. Which is exactly what I did. I sent multiple photographs of my door from many different angles. It was clear front the photographs that I have a large triple stacking balcony door with fly screens. I paid $200 odd dollars for the insert they recommended and I paid $200 for installation as I had a sneaky suspicion that the self installation video they have on their website was little more than propaganda. I could tell straight away that the actual, real life installation wouldn’t be as straightforward as the lady acting in the video. So, the items came in the mail, the installer came and low and behold there were pieces missing so the installation couldn’t go ahead. I contacted Laluna (or whatever name they are choosing to use this week, I see they have 3 names which they seem to flip between) I expected an apology, the correct parts to be sent out and for the installer to be rebooked free of charge. When I spoke to them I was forced to pay more money for the missing parts and an additional fee for the installer to come back out (even though he’d only been there for 10 minutes, not bad for $200!!!!). So another week goes by, the missing parts arrive and the installer comes back. Eventually, in goes the insert! The installer left and I noticed that the colour of the insert is not truely white, it is off cream in colour so doesn’t match. This I can live with. Next is the draft, there’s a draft coming into my living room as the seals are terrible and are peeling off. I was advised to go to Bunnings and but some super glue to try to stick the poor quality, Ill fitting seals provided. The sliding door itself doesn’t close properly unless it is grabbed, pulled and lifted at the same time. The worst thing was the fly screens. The fly screen when closed actually block off the pet door!!!!! So the dog can’t get in or out unless the fly screen is left open, in which case the apartment is full of flies as the doors no longer close where they originally closed because of this door insert. So guess what?!? I called Laluna again and once more got no support from them and no accepting of any responsibility, I got the clear feeling that they couldn’t give a toss. Appalling customer service. I can see from their reviews that most customers are unhappy with their products and customer service. I would advise all to steer well clear, they’ll take your hard earned money and run. I had to get the installer out yet again and ended up paying more money (cash in hand) to be able to have the fittings changed so the fly screen was able to stop before it covered up the pet flap. I contacted Laluna several times and got the same brush off, they claimed not to have known exactly what I needed despite me asking them initially to send someone out to measure up, then sending multiple pictures from different angles to ensure the right products were sent. In hindsight I should have just got a real pet flap in the glass as I wouldn’t have wasted time and money and might thane ended up with a fully functional pet flap instead of this piece of rubbish I’m now left with. Worst product and customer service I have ever received. It’s inexcusable. Take my advice and don’t do it. You can get them in Bunnings anyway and install yourself. Please don’t be sucked in by these charlatans.

Terrible Service - Avoid at all costs

Terrible customer service.

I ordered the product at the start of Sep'19 and it took over a month to arrive (arriving in Oct'19). No communications to advise that there was a delay, required me to constantly follow up. The delay in receiving the product was an inconvenience.

Also note that they use 3 different names - Animalistic, Temporary Pet Doors and La Luna - avoid all of these.

Worst online purchase i have ever made

Worst online purchase i have ever made! This has got to be the most unprofessional and dodgy company i have ever dealt with.
For starters they have 3 websites, this shouldve been my first warning sign.
temporarypetdoor, catcabana and auswidepetdoors are all names they operate under. I placed my order on the 26th of July, the item was listed as in stock online, a few days later i received an email saying this item will not be in stock until the 5th of August, I waited patiently for that date.

The item was finally shipped on the 7th with a cheap company called sendle who in the end LOST my item, I asked for a refund for shipping costs as i paid for shipping, they declined to offer anything for the hassle, they then resent my item. if i had not requested that they do NOT send with the same company again they wouldve sent it with sendle again, they sent my item with another company and I eventually received it on the 19th of August! That is almost a month of waiting for the Cat Cabana i had ordered.

All parts are there the cage is ok but not the quality i expected for all that hassle it is flimsy and wobbly. Not the type of Cabana that will keep a Maine Coon in they can just tip it over if not weighted down. The thing that disappointed me the most was there lack of customer service. Nothing offered to me for waiting this period of time. A whole month for an “australian” company to ship from Queensland to Queensland!! Please beware of this company i shouldve seen the signs but i didnt know they ran 3 websites until i looked into it more . Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere

Would not recommend this company

Purchased a panel to fit into my door. Called twice and emailed twice prior to purchasing to ensure it was suitable. Was told over the phone (the first time I called) that it would work and shown a video for installation available on their website. Purchased online. The panel arrived promptly. When it arrived it would not fit - my door was different. I tried everything including getting tradesmen out but they couldn't fit it either.

I emailed requesting a refund. Customer service via email could not find a solution to installation and refused a refund (I was over the 7 days of their return policy). I called and spoke with the manager. In my opinion the manager was rude, argumentative and unhelpful. She also refused a refund as I was over the 7 days. I went to Fair Trading as I felt the product was not fit for purpose. After being contacted by Fair Trading, the company would still not refund as it was over the 7 days. Fair Trading can not force a company to give a refund.

I am now left with a door that I can't use (nearly $300 out of pocket) and need to purchase something different (I would have been happy to exchange). I will not be shopping with them again.

bad company to deal with & questionable products

i purchased a temporary pet door from Animalistic Pet Products a couple of years ago & which is still sitting in my garage unused because even though they claim that their patio door inserts fit nearly all sliding doors, the one i purchased certainly did NOT fit my sliding door frame.
their website states "100% MoneyBack Guarantee - Either love it or return it no questions asked. " however my experience was VERY different.
i contacted them immediately after trying to install it (which was only a few days after i had received it) and spoke to the owner, however any help, let alone a refund was refused. The owner became so rude the moment i mentioned i had a problem & he even accused me of having used it on holiday (because apparently that is what everyone who wants to return one of their door inserts does), since I had it longer than 7 days, which is their return period (& seems to include the time it takes them to ship to you) & he would not offer any other assistance.
Think twice before ordering from animalistic, as they are not willing to help with any issues you might have & chances are you will have issues with their substandard products.
