Scammers.

This company originally offered an arrangement where customers paid a fee but could make and print off UNLIMITED future changes without any additional future charge. The company asserted it's honesty and integrity with respect to this promise. In fact I’ve made changes and printed off those changes several times ie married names and new addresses over the years and therefore have been very happy with what I had bought. I recommended the site to many others. But having taken my and others money they seem to want to milk us again with demands for more cash to use what we've already paid for.

To explain, I went to update the wills today with new addresses and married names and a ransom fee was demanded. I obviously believed it was a simple error as I had already paid for unlimited future changes. I have screen shots of this using the cached version on the date I made my purchase..

When I told them of the website error they sent a rude note stating “I got what I paid for”. Subsequent contact was treated rudely, brusquely and fobbed off. That is why I have no confidence in them to do "the right thing". They now rubbish my feedback by implying I'm not a customer.

Prospective customers can make up their own minds.

So now, the site now not only prevents me making the small unlimited changes I have already paid for but doesn’t allow me to print off my existing wills unless I pay a completely new 100% fee. This is a ransom fee.

For the removal of doubt. Any company can change the way they do business for all future contracts. But what you cannot do is cheat existing customers out of what they have already paid for. When confronted they firstly falsely asserted in the earlier replies that no such service was EVER offered which others before my review here have also been cheated out of. Then they conceded that IT WAS offered but they were entitled to retrospectively change what customers had already paid for.

This is illegal. Specifically the consumer unfair contract terms clause in the "Consumer Rights Act 2015":

"A term in a consumer contract is unfair if, contrary to the requirement of good faith, it causes a significant imbalance in the parties' rights and obligations under the contract, to the detriment of the consumer."

The company has so far made four different and contradictory replies to my original review including questioning whether I am a genuine customer or not and I have now shortened my review to explain fully the complaint so that people can make up their own mind.

All I have and others have reasonably expected is to receive what we had paid for. No more, no less. I also expect a company to respect their customers and not call any of them that are dissatisfied liars. It would have cost them nothing to simply respect this. I have then posted a review to explain this. They sought to have it removed but Trustpilot reviewed my post and found in my favour and my review to be fully compliant. I'm more than happy to provide Trustpilot with any proof including screenshots of what I had bought and the replies I have received. But actually now tenminutewill seem to agree that they have done exactly what I have complained of. They firstly claimed that they have NEVER offered the benefit of unlimited future will rewrites but then changed their claim and then simply claimed that they did but changed their mind about what customers had paid for. They didn't even bother telling us.

It is only my intention like other genuine reviewers here to ensure new prospective customers make an informed choice.

It would have cost nothing to simply honour the promises and contracts that were made with existing customers that I and others below paid for.

++ In fact they could now say that they have reflected on what I and others have complained of and admit they got it wrong. ++

But when a company does not either respect the law or their existing customers and believes that they can do whatever they want and change the services that customers have already fully paid them for then customers have the right to make AN INFORMED CHOICE as to whether they wish to trust them rather than another more trustworthy provided of this important service.

The issue for prospective customers for example, is that in their mind there is absolutely nothing wrong or illegal to write to any customer a day after their purchase and say "you no longer have 60 days to make changes but you now only have 2 days .... and you have to pay again after 2 days ". They cancelled my unlimited changes without EVEN bothering telling me. That is why one should not trust a company that believes they can do whatever they want without the need to comply with the hard-earned UK consumer laws.

My late husband and I had mirror Wills and Power documents with this company for over ten years. The entire process of making our Last Will and Testaments was made easier by the on line Proforma. It gave me more confidence when our documents were vetted by an external solicitor. We were able to print our documents. We liked that the company offered timely reminders to update details or make amendments. Messages sent were answered. The entire service delivery was excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to my family including friends.

Avoid as you don't get what is advertised (or at least it changes as they see fit). Using the waybackmachine website you can clearly see that unlimited re-writes and edits were included but since 2017 this changed. Support now refers to T&C's which contradict the earlier offer stating ANY offer is non contractual! False advertising at best.

I find this service quick and easy. I like the fact you can log back in and make any amendments. Its a shame to see two negative comments. I think Tenminutewill are fab and highly recommend them

Made a will with this company who then emailed me to say I'd made a mistake, which I then corrected but they asked for more money to check the corrections. I asked for a refund and got an extremely rude response in return stating that I was not getting a refund and could complain to who I liked.
Please do not use. Rude and completely unprofessional. I will be taking this further

There’s a well known saying…..If it’s too good to be true, it really is!
I’ve lost a property because of tenminutewill and it was just your average Will. Nothing special. Remember, you get what you pay for!!
