Well it took three years to arrive but that's kickstarter for you.

It looks great as a vase, my issue with it is that the water inside the vase does exactly what it's supposed to do, just wayyyyy to quickly! The bowl at the bottom that collects the moisture is overflowing within two days spilling all over what surface you have it on.

And so the top of the vase is drying out and that won't support plant growth.

I guess the answer is to refill the vase every day and empty the water tray every day. Just seems like a lot of work. Hey ho

Terraplanter/tevaplanter SCAM

I paid my money (91$) for this terraplanter/tevaplanter in 2020 (4 YEARS AGO!!!!) Terraplanter/tevaplanter continually put off the production and delivery of their product. When I tried to contact them and asked where my product is (4 times), they came up with excuses. Then they were pretending like they can’t deliver the product to my country (but why I paid 29$ for shipping!!!???), when I asked for a full money refund they said: “unfortunately we do not provide refunds. Indiegogo is a crowdfunding platform where we, the creators, fund the production of new products using the funds raised during the campaign. Once payments are processed, platform and processing fees are deducted, and we start using the funds to finance our production, therefore, we are sorry, but rewards are not refundable. We thank you for the support and look forward to assisting you further with any questions or comments you may have. We are here for you.” – What does it mean?!
Terraplanter/tevaplanter received from people $7,680,766 (on indiegogo.com) and $6,391,763 (on kickstarter.com) which is $14,072,529 !!! WHERE IS ALL THE MONEY?! WHERE IS MY REFUND?! This whole campaign is a huge scam. Many customers have reported not receiving their orders, receiving damaged products, or receiving products that do not work as advertised. Additionally, the company has been unresponsive to customer inquiries and has not provided refunds. Thieves work in Terraplanter/tevaplanter company.

By far the worst company I’ve ever come across!

I placed my order June 10th 2020 and estimated delivery was October 2020. This is followed by an email saying that the new estimated delivery time is in March 2021. This is then followed by a stream of emails constantly postponing the delivery time and blaming a bunch of different things for this including the pandemic (I placed my order way after the pandemic started so that's no excuse). When the product finally arrives nearly THREE YEARS have passed! The person I bought it for moved twice during this time and eventually even left the country which meant that she couldn’t even receive my gift in the end!

Never in my life have I come across a company this horrible and they don’t even deserve the one star they got. Constantly lying about delivering times over and over again and they're not even embarrassed about it.

I’ve not had any success with the tevplanter.

It’s been a few months but I’ve not had any success with the tevplanter. I've used the plant plug and cutting methods but neither have been successful. In both cases, the plants dried and died. I've attached a bit of tissue paper to the planter and confirmed that no water flows from the holes. The tissue paper is bone dry.

Definitely not disappointed

OK it did take a long time but I invested in the R&D of a new product and I was willing to accept the risk that I may actually get nothing at all as it may not turn into a viable product.
Despite the length of time it took I was kept informed via periodic emails about progress including production hiccups and delays. I never felt ripped off or conned in any way, accepting the risk when I invested.
My Teva Planter arrived this month. It was robustly packaged and arrived unbroken via a very pleasant delivery driver (compliments to FedEx for the quality of their staff).
It is bigger than I anticipated (now that isn't something I say often - I'm no good at judging size so if you tell me something is 9 inches l will believe you).
I don't know if it works yet and am probably being over ambitious starting with an African Violet (baby Violet is just acclimating herself to life here in Bedfordshire before she is teased from her pot and on to the planter) but nothing ventured nothing gained and even if I don't manage to grow anything the planter is aesthetically pleasing enough for me to leave on display as an architecturally interesting object.
If it does work I'll be purchasing several as gifts for family and friends.

After years I received it...and it's junk.

Came here after actually trying this. Paid for it on kickstarter years ago and finally got a hunk of ugly terracotta. Microgreen seeds won't grow. The implication was they had made something porous that would sustain plants (I thought we'd be adding nutrients to the bowl like pretty hydroponics)...nada. It's already collecting dust in my basement. I think it was pretty much just a scam.

I’m backer #29,831. It is the end of April and still no product (again, as you promised in latest update). Produce item or refund money! (From before)
Update! Now it is June, still no terraplanter! They use the line “follow the journey………” I am weary of journeying - give me the product or money back! They have the website set up so information flows in one direction only! You can’t get ahold of them. They present in a very non-customer oriented way.

If there was a way to enter NEGATIVE stars - I would! 3 years ago we supported a KickStarter idea and they have STILL failed to deliver to the people who helped them bring this shitshow to life.
Dont waste your money - get a copy on eBay for $32

Avoid anything from Eran Zarhi and Elad Burko as you may never see your money again.

It's clearly not a scam

It's clearly not a scam. Kickstarter campaigns tend to go much longer than expected and especially during Covid. You just need to realize that kickstarter IS NOT AN ONLINE SHOP! You don't order and get shipped. It's about getting funds for development and production. So stop whining and have some patience (tbh it really took a long time). Anyway, they communicated openly and you would know that if you read the stuff. I got mine in the meantime and still need to get used how to handle it. Got a little mold on my first try (which is still ongoing), not sure how to avoid that. So even though this took much longer than anticipated, in my opinion, it was one of the better Kickstarter campaigns b/c they kept me in the loop with their product updates.

The one reason I put 5 stars is simply to equal those stupid one-star reviews a little bit saying that it's a scam when it's definitely not (so my review does not reflect on the product yet).

Rubbish

Rubbish. If I have to possibly start my cutting off in water as an alternative to the terraplanter, why bother to use it at all. Expensive talking point. I don’t think even one of the Dragons Den dragons would invest in this.

After 2 years I finally received two terraplanter. Problems:No plants are growing in the upper half of the terraplanter unless you spray everything with water daily. After 4 days the supplied coaster is filled with water and it will spill out making everything wet. I was hoping this system allows to plant without supervision but this is definitely not the case. Nice pictures in the internet from this company but I definitely would not buy this item again.

The whole Tevaplanter project is a scam. I've signed up in october 2020 for two Tevaplanters and paid an 'early bird price': $99 each. Today january 2023 I finally received my Tevaplanters. Two and a half years of waiting and now they offer the Tevaplanter for $69. It's a scam. Never support startups ever again.

Ordered in June 2020 - they keep promising to ship out my 2 terraplanters and they never do! Total scam - do not buy! They are liars 100%. I can’t believe it’s still on Kickstarter - can’t find an easy way to report them other than here

If you've ever been involved in product…

If you've ever been involved in product development - IT TAKES A LOT OF TIME, then it even takes more time after that. Add a Pandemic.... yikes why have you backed a Kickstarter project in the first place.... you should have simply waited till sold at your local stores.

Can't be trusted.

If its not a scam, what do you call this? like everyone else says, I paid for this product years ago and still nothing. Make sure to never back anyone on indigo kickstar until you have read everyone's comments and looked up reviews or you could be a victim too. Wasted a lot of time and a lot of money (that they refuse to reimburse) embarrassed to have fallen for the lies.

Scam

As previous comments say, complete scam. I supported them years ago, and every month they say they have an unexpected issue that delays the shipping to the following month, when they eventually have an issue that delays the shipping to the following month, when they eventually have an issue... And so on. And of course they refuse to proceed to any refund.
