I want to let all my readers know that there is a CELL PHONE company called Visible and I want to tell you to STAY AWAY NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE ! These people DON'T KNOW HOW TO TAKE CARE OF A CUSTOMER IF THEIR LIVES DEPENDED ON IT ! THEY make up all excuses just to MAKE YOU MAD SO YOU FEEL LIKE AN IDIOT. Rentalcars.com The following is an e-mail I sent the company outlining the negative experience I had with them arriving at Heathrow with my son on 11 October 2021
Dear Sir or Madam,
Having booked a vehicle with your company yesterday 11/10/2021, (see attached confirmation email from your company), I realized I had not deselected the drop off at same location box. My intended trip was to Liverpool one-way. I did not want to return the vehicle to Heathrow.
On calling your help desk, the polite telephonist, realising I was not a UK resident as your Online booking site and application assumes all applicants to be NB there is no request to state residential status, or country of origin, or indeed any reference to a held and valid driving license, informed me that my original booking was effectively cancelled. I would have to forfeit insurance and renegotiate much higher rental fees.
This is highly bizarre given that thousands of tourists to the UK like myself clearly booking from Heathrow airport having just arrived, will not be, nor should be assumed to be, UK residents. The effect, as I found out to my cost and your company's obvious benefit, is hugely significant. Your telephonist explained how, being a non-resident foreign tourist, I would have to pay near three times more in originally quoted insurance premiums, I could only use the vehicle for traveling 100 miles after which I would have to pay 33 pence per additional mile travelled, and quoted deposit amounts and vehicle rental would all be subject to huge increases. I had every right to believe your telephonist was telling the truth.
I determined that the new deal, the old one for which I had already paid some £93, was not worth it and asked for my hire to be cancelled. Indeed, from what your telephonist told me, my non-resident status effectively meant the original agreement was null and void anyway. The telephonist explained I would receive the £30 insurance as a refund on my credit card from which payment was made while the remaining £63 I would have to forfeit to your company in a transaction that saw me severely penalised and your company good to the tune of £63 without having to hire a vehicle.
I believe, and with this the telephonist agreed with me, that your website and online booking system has serious flaws chief of which is failing to ask applicants for their residential status, failing to point out the serious and significant differences in hire arrangements for those who are UK residents as opposed to those who are not, and failure to make any reference or request with respect to driving license held.
For all these reasons I believe that I have a fair and honest grievance with the way I became an unwitting victim and suffered significant financial loss because of, your company's application policy and procedures. I have no issues with your company's telephonist who offered helpful, courteous, and empathetic assistance. It was he who also suggested I lodge a grievance complaint with your company with the aim of seeking full reimbursement of the rental fee I was charged and for which no vehicle was ultimately rented.
In hindsight however, I seriously wonder whether your telephonist was a genuine and credible individual and not a disgruntled employee having a laugh at my expense-literally. The fact that my hire agreement was not cancelled (I received an email 24 hours later asking me to rate my hire experience, the address of which I could not reply to anyway), and no insurance fee refunded, suggest this.
Given all these factors, please refund the remaining £63 from the botched hire agreement with your company on 11/10/202. I would strongly recommend that your company looks carefully into making critical amendments to its online hire application policy and process. As it stands, it could be argued that failing to ascertain from applicants their residential status is a serious breach of trust boardering on dishonest retail behaviour.

I sent this email outlining the dreadful service I received back in 12 October 2021 when I arrived at Heathrow from Singapore and tried, unsuccessfully and at a cost of £93 to myself for NO CAR HIRED.
I was not refunded £30 to the best of my knowledge as stated by your tekephonist at the time, who clearly undetstood I had cancelled the hire agreement as per his advice.
Not having had any satisfactory response from you, I will now highlight your company's poor service and the issue of my unsuccessful and expensive attempt to hore a vehicle from you on 12 October 2021, on TESTPILOT.COM. I will post my earlier email and this one as a review of your company’s questionable service in relation to my case.
