The A World UK CIC is a non-profit organisation supporting the autistic community across the North of England. The A World UK receives no funding from outside sources, we rely solely on the generous donations of pre-loved items and the money donations from members of the public. The funds raised via the community stores and the text to donate service are used to by The A World UK to provide services to the autistic community and their families. Autism is a lifelong neurodevelopmental condition, we are proud to state that we support individuals of all ages. Unfortunately, far too many support abruptly stops when an individual reaches the age of 25, we understand and recognise that the individual will still require support regardless of their age! Our aim is to help and support the Autistic Community through providing a variety of services, we currently offer funded holidays*, horse-riding sessions, and many more inclusive events which are held throughout the year.

Honest review from an ASD parent
Me and my little boy who is 5 and has ASD absolutely loved how calm and friendly everyone was at the Ice cream factory, my niece came along for the help but it definitely wasn't needed. All the other parents were friendly and it was a nice relaxed atmosphere. LOVE how calm the events are and my son can enjoy them without being stared at or judged for his loud stemming! There also is a large choice in activities they do throughout the year. Thank you ❤️
The A World are AMAZING.
The A World are AMAZING.
We have previously donated unwanted items of clothes and shoes to their charity shops. We always arrange a collection as we usually have a large number of bags for them. The communication from the bookings team is spot on, driver arrived on time, was friendly and professional.
We have also visited Eureka twice through the a world and it is such a fabulous day, not being judged by anyone, being around families and children that understand the behaviours my child displays, we are forever grateful for the opportunities provided to us by the a world and will continue to support them like they support us.
Thank you to all the staff at the a world and Harley bainbridge (photographer) for making our experiences amazing ones.
Caravan break and twixmas …
We had a 4 night caravan break provided by A world and it was absolutely fantastic. Everything was so well organised and clean and the kids had an amazing time.
We have also been to last years twixmas event at gullivers and again, the kids had a fantastic time. It was so great to be at gullivers knowing that everybody there was understanding of each others needs and nobody was judging anybody else or any of the children. It felt so inclusive and stress free. The work A world do to provide these events for autistic children is amazing.
Hero's behind the scenes❤️
I don't know where to start! We have been to 2 take over events had a haven holiday granted and we're booked on for the zoo next year! We as a family are so Incredibly grateful for all you do for the community and it's like your own support network and extended family. We can go to these takeovers and feel at ease with no judgement passed upon you and our children can be who they are and that's just amazing. I will always be eternally grateful for all the work you all do at the A-world. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for giving me and my little girl a lifetime of memories to look back on ❤️
The A world has made such a difference
The A world offers our family opportunities that we never thought possible. Our family are able to enjoy days out together in a supportive atmosphere and without which we would not have been able to make all the wonderful memories we have enjoyed. On our first outing with the A world I was so emotional watching my family, because we had never been able to access the community with such ease before. Our children can behave anyway they need to and nobody watched or looks at us. These days our have made such a difference for us.
The A World are phenomenal!
We have been to two Gulliver's World and one Chester Zoo and one Eureka! events with The A World.
All three events have been phenomenal.
My youngest son struggles a lot with days out so the opportunity to take him for new experiences in less crowded places is brilliant! Having days out without judgement and whispered comments is exactly what we need and The A World deliver every single time.
We’re looking forward to the next trip to the Illuminations!
Thank you The A World, without you fun days out wouldn’t be possible!
We have been so lucky to of found this…
We have been so lucky to of found this charity! Since becoming members we have attended Gullivers world, Gullivers Land of lights, BeWilderwood & we have been so fortunate to of used their caravan for a holiday! Having this charity for days out has been amazing! Going on a day where everyone ‘gets it’ there is no judgment when your child isn’t complying is just everything! The lesser amount of people at the theme park was a huge help with no Que times and we can’t wait to come again! Bewilderwood was fantastic beautiful weather the children and adults all had An Amazing time and we got some lovely photos from the photographer that day! The kids loved the land of lights and we are so excited to come again in November!
In May we went to the caravan and it was lovely! Perfect size for a family! Very clean and tidy on arrival. Great location we had. Lovely bus ride to Blackpool front! Kids loved the pool and the arcade onsite! Looking forward to coming again next year!
Absolutely amazing
We were lucky enough to get tickets from the a world to their recent gullivers world take over for our family. My 12 year old autistic son was able to actually be himself and allowed himself to have fun in a non judgemental setting surrounded by people who understand us! He usually finds days out extremely difficult but he does enjoy the takeovers and we had a relatively stress free day. We only had one meltdown and a couple of wobbles which is amazing for my son. Not only does the a world do discounted takeover ticket events but they have some wonderful charity shops - I'm forever getting bargains from our local one and yet to meet a member of staff/team who is anything but nice! Absolutely amazing charity and I recommend them to anyone who's child is autistic or on the pathway.
Attended the Gulliver’s World Christmas…
Attended the Gulliver’s World Christmas event thanks to The A World UK last year. It was wonderful to be able to attend an event where everyone understood our boy’s needs. For us to be able to visit a Christmas event, this was a first as we avoid crowds and loud noise as much as we can. The Christmas train and animatronics were fantastic and we had the ‘barn’ all to ourselves due to great timings managed by the staff. It was truly the best Christmas experience ever - all thanks to The A Word UK
Well What amazing days out with the A world
Well What an amazing day our family had our 5th day out with the a world.
Which was to gulivers and we also stayed over night. After being scared for all these years and finding places far to over crowded my boy faced all his fears and did nearly all the rides. We also met some amazing families along the way too which all was so understandable about behaviours of the children I cannot recommend the a world anymore if I tried.
We also visit and donate to your store in middleton and harpurhey where each and every single staff we have met have been so so greatful and so nice to talk too we cannot wait to do more days out with the a world roll on blackpool lights ❤️

As a family we would be lost without The A world

We always know these days out will be stress free and no one will be judgemental as everyone

Without The A world these days out would be impossible to do

Our first A World experience
Our family got to go to our first A world event at Guillivers world a few weeks ago and all we can say is it was absolutely incredible. We stayed the Friday night in one of the Jungle cabins and the whole evening was so well planned out, crafts, movies, food etc were all centred around Sen. The day at Guillivers was absolutely incredible. As a family with 3 children with complex disabilities it was the first time we were able to go to a theme park and actually enjoy the rides. The staff were fantastic and the whole day was just one to remember. Thank you A world we are looking forward to Eureka on Saturday! Hannah Gibson
Gulliver’s takeover day/overnight stay
We attended our 1st ever Aworld event at Gulliver’s which included the overnight stay. We all had an amazing time. So many things were thought about such as the entertainment in the starlight venue the night before the takeover day, this was a major highlight for my son as he sat front row for the whole show. The takeover day itself was also amazing and he had such a good time and the wait times were minimal. We found out about your events through the charity shop in Harpurhey. My son goes in every single day after school as part of his routine and the staff are amazing and so understanding to his needs. We have also got the illuminations tram booked in November. We cant wait to attend more events in the future. We will forever be greatful to this amazing charity and everything they do.
Absolutely brilliant
Absolutely brilliant, the a world opens the door to opportunities to a lot of experiences that people wouldn’t be able to access, having a child with extra needs is hard enough with the extra costs and the a world offers those experiences without the extra costs and also it is always such a blessing to be around other extra needs parents and families where there is no judgements and plenty of understanding and even some friendships from the events, my daughter has made and kept a few friends from the trips and events the a world offers and any extra needs parent knows, keeping friends is not a easy feat. Thank you A World for all you do and bringing us all together to celebrate our differences as one.
Our favourite day trips
We love this charity's take over events. It's great to spend a day with other families who understand our lives. There's always so much fun to be had and caring acceptance for those who might find the day overwhelming. We're so grateful for these events 🙏

An lifeline for families providing a vital service
The A world is nothing short of fantastic we have taken part in takeovers to gullivers world and bewilderwood and have just purchased tickets to Blackpool zoo it has meant my child can go on a day out without feeling self conscious about wearing ear defenders and getting overwhelmed because there is no judgement which in turn has meant we can spend time making memories as a family worry free
Perfect weekend
We attended the gullivers world day and also got to stay over on the Friday night at the gullivers Hotel. The kids had an amazing jam packed evening with lots of fun entertainment and also made some new friends which for my son is not something he does easily. The day at gullivers was another fun day as always and the kids love the rides and also loved bumping into their new friends on the way round. Its amazing to be able to have these events where there is no judgement when my son is having a meltdown or gets sensory overload and has to regulate. These events are wonderful and happy to support the a world too. Emily Ablett
Lovely experience for our children!
We had a lovely experience at Chester Zoo. My neurodiverse children really enjoyed it at their pace. They gave us a timeslot which was the quietest and perfect for our children to be themselves and do not feel looked at or judged.
I only have kind words for them as we would have never been able to afford the tickets otherwise and get such an appropriate environment for them. The event was on august 2023.
Awesome World!
My family recently attended the Gullivers take over. The whole day was so well organised, the staff were all lovely and it felt great to be in a place where my children were safe and there was no judgement.
We’ve been lucky enough to get tickets for a few events now and we’ve loved each and every one.
It’s such an invaluable service that the A World is providing and I hope it continues for years to come.
We love the days out and cannot…
We love the days out and cannot recommend enough it’s given us experiences as a family which we had thought wouldn’t happen with my little one not being able to cope in a busy environment
