Scammers

Scammers. I’ve received 2 threatening emails, demanding money they say owed to Together Energy. I’ve never been with that company, ever.
Someone somewhere is selling fictitious debts.

Lots off threats and waffle

I left Together Energy in 2019 using the switching mechanism used by the electricity companies. I never received a final bill from Together Energy, but the switching process concluded with Together Energy cancelling my DIRECT DEBIT.

As I paid for my electricity by DD, and the requestor can vary the amount to ensure that debt does not build up, I found it rather odd that these guys are writing to me 4 years later. They will be aware that electricity companies cannot pursue payment if not accurately billed within 6 months. The first bill they sent had no detail other than the amount they wanted and I told them so. Then they sent another one with sone "meter readings" on it 😂 as if that would prove anything given the meter is long gone. Sending a bill 4 years later when they know it cannot be enforced (even if it was owed which it isn't) seems counterintuitive.

That I have had a similar approach from some other band of debt chasers requesting £1398.27 on behalf of Together Energy suggests someone is selling “debts” that are fictitious. I enquired why the amount had changed but not response.

Amusingly the fellow who wrote to me was called Arshdeep - seems appropriate.

Total scam…

So sad to know I am not the only one being contacted for this scam.
Letter received by email saying I owe money to Together Energy for an account closed several years ago.
I hope no one who is vulnerable pays this company anything.

Extremely fraudulent company run by Ashley Barratt

Extremely fraudulent company run by Ashley Barratt. I was a previous Together Energy customer and made monthly payments keeping in line with what I owed. BSB reached out saying I owed £700 for energy consumption and had to pay in 7 days. Very difficult to get through to customer service, they are not interested in verifying the accuracy of the bill before giving you 7 days to pay. Extremely unprofessional and fraudulent company.

Scam: do not pay them!

Similar to other reviews, request for payment of just under £1000 stating that it would go to bailiffs if we didn’t pay. It was sent on behalf of Together Energy, stating that the debt had been passed to them as debt collectors.
The letter was not addressed to us by name, it just said ‘To the Occupier’.
I have not held an account with Together Energy for over 2 years.

horrendous company pursuing false claims

I am in the same boat as everybody else. I have had a false demand from Together Energy ...for over £4,600 from 2017 to 2019!!
This is absolutely outrageous. Firstly, I certainly never used that much gas or electricity and secondly, I paid a direct debit to cover all my bills during that time.
Despite providing them with bank statements with the first, last and one middle direct debit payment, along with a spreadsheet listing every one of my DD payments with dates, I have just had this email: "Good afternoon,
Unfortunately, as no evidence has been provided then the account will in open and our collections process will continue.
Kind regards,
Georgia Harrison-Cole - Collections Agent"

I'm now looking to report this company to an external company or regulator.

Totally disgraceful company who everyone should avoid .They are sending totally unsubstantiated threatening e mails to previous Together energy customers whose only crime is joining this supplier when they went bust mainly due to inept customer service.BSBCO are making threats with no pertinent information and when confronted have zero figures if any description to consolidate any of there unscrupulous actions .They hide behind exemption from any laws due to acting for a company that went into administration.Do not under any circumstances get involved with The bsbco .

Shame Trust Pilot doesn’t do minus scores because this comes is a disgrace. Threatening emails, chasing an “alleged” debt to do with awful company Together Energy. Threatening phone calls too, and they don’t have the proof to back up their claims. I don’t know if there’s a body regulating such complaints, if there is these con men need striking off.

Stop flapping

I cannot understand why people get into such a panic over these opportunistic and fraudulent letters and why people are going to extraordinary lengths in contacting these ghouls. Just ignore it.

Yesterday I received my 2nd letter from theses sharks to do with outstanding balance on Together Energy. I was actually in credit when they went bust. Incredibly the letter was addressed to "The Occupier". The first letter I received about a year ago was also addressed to Occupier and went straight in the bin. This time I'm going after them for attempted fraud.

Firstly, they are not the administrators of Together Energy and never were. Together Energy has been liquidated. Secondly, these people have no power or authority to collect debt. They are inviting you to enter into a contract with them to voluntarily hand over your money to them.

You don't have to prove that you don't owe them anything. The onus is on them to prove that you owe something. They are just chancers and rely on people going into a panic and paying up. Do not engage with these people, ignore the letters and put them in the bin.

Opportunist bullies

This company are sending me threatening letters demanding payment of £1700, which I can prove without a shadow of a doubt that I do not owe. It relates to an account I had with Together Energy, which the Ombudsman settled back in 2019, the result was that Together Energy actually owed me money. I have a final bill showing my account in credit. I have sent BSB all my evidence, which they have ignored, I have tried to phone but they are constantly engaged. They have not even sent anything to substantiate their claim against me, not even the bill I have allegedly not paid! They are just opportunist bullies.

Left in the dark! No idea what to do !!

Received an email on the 23rd June advising that I owed monies due to an unpaid Together Energy bill... The first I've ever heard of this by the way...... Several email exchanges later and numerous, numerous, numerous attempts at calling, all to no avail. Finally got a reply via email attaching the proclaimed invoice which is contra to what the letter states that I owed. Moments after receiving the invoice (literally a few minutes later) I received a further email giving me 72 hours to pay up. Sough clarification again via email and I got a call explaining today, however this only explained what was on the invoice and letter.. Was even asked to pay over the phone.... I've no idea how this is owed or what makes this sum up.... Stated on all my correspondence (emails and documented) that I'm happy to resolve and pay, if, there is anything to pay at all, I just need a breakdown and the evidence. Not too much to ask for is it!

Absolutely shocking company

Absolutely shocking company. I received a thretening letter for £3800 for a rented house I lived in 5 years ago and was told I had 48 hours to pay. On leaving the property, I paid all bills and no monies were owed. I raised this when I got the first letter in May and sent proof to be told the account was closed with no apology. I have now received another threatening letter with the same amount to pay immediately. I have tried to contact and email and now no one is returning my calls. These companies should be banned!!!!

Received threatening email from BSB in…

Received threatening email from BSB in May, demanding a payment of £41.76 with regard to Together Energy. I promptly responded and informed them that in fact my final bill from Together Energy showed a CREDIT of £41.76.and emailed a copy of the said bill, which was the same as the one attatched to their email, showing the credit. So in fact I am owed!!!
No reply was received.
Another threatening email, demanding payment received again early June, to which I again replied, informing them of the error.
I also telephoned and left a message, as no one answered.
Low and behold, another threatening email this week.
I rang this morning, managed to speak to a Katie Colclough, who didn't seem too interested, but said she would close down the account, and email me confirmation- STILL WAITING.

Disgusting and repulsive company

Shameful company sending out harassing and threatening letters for non-existent debts, multiple times without providing any evidence of debt.

Multiple people make contact for the same information, seemingly disregarding anything that has been sent to them in the past.

Completely useless and I feel sorry for elderly and vulnerable people that must be very distressed.

Disgusting and repulsive company.

Disgraceful company - Never answer the phone, ignores letters

Useless company, chasing money from old together energy accounts that isn't even owed, never answer the phone, ignore written letter communications and just constantly send unnecessary emails demanding payment without providing any evidence. Do not pay these people, you only have to look on other platforms to see just how poor all the data is they have got.

Spurious Demand

Received an email from this company demanding over £7,000 for services they allege Together Energy ( in administration) provided. No breakdown of the alleged debt was given. Replied to the email requesting evidence of debt, but no response was received. Hardly surprising as the debt is a complete fabrication. Would love for them to issue a County Court Summons. A counterclaim will be made. All facts will be passed to the media. I will also participate in the potential group action against BSB / joint administrators.
