Took over 2 weeks to complete an order. Had good initial comms explaining the delay. However confirmed a date I needed the delivery by and was assured it would be there on time or I would be informed in time for me to sort alternatives. Wasn't contacted so I assumed it was being delivered as promised only to be empty handed at the aforementioned event. Nice enough on email (hence two not one star) and responsive but probably wouldn't use again as not reliable enough compared to other services I've used.

Champagne for wedding tasting
I was visiting the UK while planning my daughter‘s wedding. I wanted to try a few different champagnes to decide what we were going to offer. The order process was very simple. We selected a pick up at a local London pharmacy. Everything went extremely smoothly. We were very happy.

Poor service
Placed an order 6 days ago and paid extra for delivery (stated on the website as 3-5 days). I emailed them today stating the gift had not been delivered as yet.
I’m sharing below the response I got from the company:
“Thank you for your email.
I can confirm that it has been placed on a 3-5 working day delivery timeframe on Saturday, which means that the order was processed on Monday, and therefore working day 5 of the delivery time frame is Monday 16th.”
Hahaha….the day the order is processed is Day 0 or they cannot count. Monday to Friday makes 5 days!!! The email reply was frankly insulting. Instead of apologising for the delay I get this.

And secondly, you charged extra for this ‘standard delivery’ I think it’s only reasonable you stick to your delivery times (3-5 working) when you do so, the parcel was actually dispatched by your own admission on the 5th working day and delivered after the weekend….in fact, most companies would offer free delivery for a gift costing £175…it’s really disappointing and I hope you improve on this. I certainly have no plans to use your company again.

We are sorry that we did not meet your expectations of a standard delivery service.
Our delivery service is calculated using working days; order processing occurs on working days (Mon-Fri) but with deliveries available every day of the week.
We take into account a 4pm next day cut off, and that all orders placed over the weekend are processed the following working day ie Monday before 4pm with the first possible delivery option therefore being on a Tuesday.
We also have a live-time clock on the home page to help clearly communicate delivery time frames communications in in terms of the cut off and weekend processing including bank holiday variation.
Looking into the order, we can see that it was dispatched on Friday 13th for delivery on Monday 16th, arriving with your recipient on working day 5 on the time frame selected at checkout.
In terms of calculating working days required for the standard delivery service, your order's first working day after placing the order (over the weekend or Monday) was a Tuesday.
We do also offer next day delivery option and Saturday and Sunday option, and would like to reassure you that on a standard delivery option we do always try to expedite an earlier delivery on standard orders however sometimes we do need to use the whole delivery time frame when the product requires transferring over from within our stock network.
Once again we apologise for any misunderstanding and are reviewing our delivery customer communications to see where we can make this any clearer.

Quick, efficient service
The bottle of rum I ordered arrived within a short space of time. The time given for delivery was accurate, not always a given. The protective packaging was excellent. I would use this company again.
