Very disappointed with the quality of these clothes. The materials (viscose and polyester) feel extremely cheap and nowhere near worth the price paid.

When trying on the shirt, a button came off immediately while undoing it, which says a lot about the workmanship.

I will be returning the items and expect a full refund, including return postage. Photos have been provided as evidence.

Everything I've worn from House of Foxy has been good quality fabrics and flattering to my body. Their designs are beautiful and it's great to see a size inclusive brand!

I've got a couple of dresses now from this brand. I love the historical accuracy and attention to detail in their garments. Also their sizing is consistent unlike some other brands out there.

I paid a lot for a dress (I'm not from the UK) from this store, but when it arrived I was kind of disappointed. The dress was poorly made, and the fabric is not of the best quality. Treats everywhere, the fabric was not cut properly and it keeps ripping. It looks like some fast fashion stuff, well, maybe it is? One of the worst-made dresses I have in my collection...

I’ve been a regular return customer of HoF for many years and I’ve bought some lovely pieces of them, however sometimes I find the quality poor. This years Christmas pressy dress from my partner I feel maybe the last item I buy from them. The Cora bias cut dress looks fantastic in the photo but the quality on the frill and tags are really poor. It’s literally just cut and overlocked. I thought it would be properly piped. I zoomed in on the picture after receiving it and I can just about see the overlocking. It’s not obvious though and the description didn’t mention it. However the style fits me really nicely and looks amazing so I decided to keep it. My plan is to replace the badly overlocked tags at some point as I’m a reasonable seamstress myself. I personally would never make something this bad. It’s the sort of thing you’d see from a cheap Chinese brand. This dress was £139. I expect better quality for that price. I’ll have to think very carefully about buying from them again in the future.

I brought a blouse from them for a 40s event, it looked ok when it arrived but it almost fell apart after one wear. All the buttons had to be reattached and the front pocket has two holes where it’s pulled away from the body. It’s the second thing I’ve brought from them and both have needed all the buttons sewing back on, I thought the first time was bad luck but clearly not. For the price you pay the items aren’t worth it, the finishing on them is very poor and the customer service is shocking!

I made my first purchase(s) from House of Foxy in December, when I fell in love with their tweed plus fours.... and then everything that matched them—a waistcoat, a jacket, a skirt and another cropped jacket. I love each item and wear them regularly. I love being able to mix and match, and I also get a lot of compliments on the outfits. The quality seems very good, and they were also extremely helpful when items arrived separately and the jacket was from a different fabric batch than the rest. I was able to return it (along with the waistcoat so they could match it) and they sent back a matching jacket.

I love my Bonnie and Sweetheart Blouses! The colors are beautiful, and they are well made and flattering. I ordered size 12 based on the sizing guide (I’m usually a S or XS in US sizes). The blouses arrived in the US within a week.

I’ve owned multiple items of clothing from HoF over the past decade and find the pieces to be excellent reproductions for those looking for a true vintage look, but who don’t want to put their true vintage under the stress of everyday wear. I see some people in the reviews here have said the material is cheap or transparent, but my personal experience is that the material is nice quality but stays true to the 1930s style of being delicate fabrics for the purpose of a bias draping for an authentic fit. This means it needs to be cared for properly and is not "wash and wear". Yes, the pieces are priced much higher than high street clothing, but that is because the company cares about the ethics of how their clothing is made. I enthusiastically recommended them!

Beautiful and authentic pieces that are a joy to wear. I’ve been a customer of the House of Foxy for years and their pieces are always made so beautifully. They are timeless pieces that you want to wear again and again. This small business is passionate about their designs and making pieces that look like they could be true vintage! I were vintage daily and it’s not always practical to wear real vintage. I am extremely grateful for brands like The House of Foxy that make high-quality reproduction vintage so I can wear vintage in all aspects of my life. I found that some other vintage brands don’t use the correct texture of fabrics, but I’ve never had that problem with The House of Foxy. They always seem to have the best patterns and textures. I have absolutely loved every item I have bought. I highly recommend to anyone who wants a classic style.

These people use the small business excuse every time. They also don't honour their own policies. I asked for a replacement and instead was told they would issue a refund so I opened up a PayPal dispute. When they sent through a refund I tried to reorder and was told they wouldn't trade with me because I opened up a dispute. They do not live up to their own policies and outright discriminate. You are better off finding a good seamstress and getting it made off them, as these are common designs from the 40s. Oh and they are also aware that I am someone with disabilities so they will double discriminate
