TML Tricky Case Placed
TML were able to offer a case for a BTL purchased within 6 months and we achieved a good market value on the property. Only issue if any is underwriting can be slow but where an offer is obtained it proves to be worth waiting for.

I am a mortgage intermediary and have used the mortgage lender for my clients on a number of occasions - the service levels have been really good and the direct contact from the underwriter has made the whole process quick and easy with any queries cleared up instantly rather than a series of back and forth emails.

The left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing
It felt as though one department wasn’t communicating with another. We were given conflicting information from different people, and issues that could have been resolved within weeks were instead picked up months later. We had no choice but to proceed with the mortgage as the deal was about to expire, despite the ongoing problems. Even after two formal escalations and calling every day for two weeks, we were repeatedly told it was “being looked at” that day, yet nothing progressed. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the service and will likely avoid recommending TML to my clients in the future.

Common sense and real life lending
Common sense and real life lending is what you get with The Mortgage Lender. When a client's circumstances don't quite suit the High Street lenders you can count on The Mortgage Lender to look at the overall case to reach a lending decision. Life's not perfect, sometimes things don't go according to plan and there could be a blip on the credit file, The Mortgage lenders computer won't say no and they use common sense where required. A great lender to have available to our clients.

Too fussy
Although their criteria is great, when it comes down to it I fail to understand why they ask for so much detail about the clients income and employment when you are applying for a unregulated buy to let mortgage. The likes of TMW or BM trust the information is correct on the application.
