The Natural Adventure Reviews 

Shortly after booking my first tour with The Natural Adventure, (a self-guided road bike tour of the Cilento Coast in Italy), I asked for the ridewithgps files I would use to navigate the route. I was told that the files would be delivered soon, and that they would do their best to have them delivered by the end of the week.

The end of the week came and went... and I became nervous that I would not see the files until shortly before the trip started. I needed them well in advance to properly prepare for this self guided tour.

After six weeks of back and forth, they told me that the files would not be available until the night before the tour started.

I felt misled, and very disappointed. Why did it take them six weeks to tell me that I wouldn't get my files until the night before the start? And in any case, this was totally unacceptable to me.

So, I changed my travel plans to another tour company, and asked for a refund of my deposit.

A manager got back to me and told me that even though it was against their policy to give refunds of deposits, they would make an exception for me, given that the agent who promised me the files quickly was still being trained, and should not have led me to believe the quick delivery.

So - even though I cancelled my tour with them, I ended up being impressed with their integrity. For me, a firm's integrity is the most important service component - given integrity, all other potential problems can usually be resolved.

I'll definitely look at them again when I am ready for another tour.

Fabulous week hiking on Corfu. Great itinerary, lovely hotels. Excellent trip notes.

We just got back from a fabulous hiking week in the Julian Alps in Slovenia with stunning scenery. The trip was well-organized and Natural Adventure was quick to respond to any queries - excellent communication overall. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed an excellent week in Slovenia and Italy with amazing scenery, excellent accommodation, delicious food and efficient transfers of both us and our luggage. Would highly recommend. The Natural Adventure were very helpful and I couldn't fault their organisation or communication at each stage of our trip, both before and during.

I haven’t done my trip yet but so far TNA company has been great to work with and the pricing for the trip is affordable. I’ll write another review when I return from my trip!

Recently returned from the Rhodope Mountains (Bulgaria) self-guided hiking holiday. Here are my comments:

Transport and Luggage transference, excellent, no hiccups
Accommodation: Mixed bag: some was sub-standard eg breakfast buffet where the hot food was served cold and coffee served cold and my request that both be served hot was met with indifference and the replaced items were no better than the initial offering.
Small bedroom lacking in air conditioning meant we had to have a window open to try to reduce the temperature in the room. Our room was directly next to a yard where there was a barking dog, so it was hard to relax/sleep.
In another hotel the wi-fi was intermittent or non-existent.
However, the other accommodation was comfortable enough and the food offering much better ie freshly cooked to order.

Our biggest disappointment were the trail markings, the recommended trails were overgrown and signs poor to non-existent, causing us to experience frustration as we found ourselves going the wrong way on numerous occasions. It was clear that some trails had not been vetted for a number of years. This spoilt our enjoyment. When the routes were clearly marked we were able to complete the hikes no problem.

I haven't actually taken a trip yet with TNA but in arranging our upcoming trips, the support has been first class. These folks are completely responsive and helpful, flexible, friendly and courteous, as well as bing knowledgeable. We are looking forward to working with them on our upcoming trips to Coatia and Italy.

Amazing routes with great B&B's. Very comforting getting to your next destination with great hosts.

So nice to have the flexibility to choose our own start date, as opposed to a guided trip with set dates! Had a bit of trouble providing the credit card details when booking, but the Natural Adventures team was quite response and helped me triage the issue. Excited for our trip!

The Natural Adventure set up an epic self guided hiking trip on the Via Spluga trail, from Thusis, Switzerland to Chiavenna, Italy. My sister and I had the most amazing time, stunning scenery all around, quaint villages, friendly people, wonderful food. Every hotel was different but beautiful accommodations.
I highly recommend this trip and going through The Natural Adventure!!

All the way through from booking, correspondence afterwards and now a wonderful holiday. The Natural Adventure have been helpful and have provided a brilliant holiday. The hikes each day are cracking, maps & routes are detailed and easy to follow. The hotels are great too. Completely love our holiday! Would definitely use The Natural Adventure again and recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our adventure in the Tusheti region of Georgia. It was remote, beautiful and we experienced a way of life forgotten in much of Europe. Our luggage was transported by horse and we stayed in individual family run guesthouses, each different but all hospitable. The Albano Pass lived up to its nerve wracking reputation but we felt safe with our local driver. The arrangements for the trip, organised in country, were exceptional. I would have no hesitation in recommending this trip for those looking for an adventure in a peaceful, beautiful part of the world.

We had a fabulous time in Sweden. The locations chosen for us to visit were beautiful.
The guide was really helpful and there was great communication.
We originally booked before covid and the company were really helpful about us changing our trip and rebooking twice!

Recently returned form a fab 6 day cycle holiday through the Balkans. Bulgaria surprised us, great accommodation, - 2 really special hotels in beautiful locations - and good food. Cycled as a group with tour leader who was always close at hand with water supplies and directions to really authentic cafes and lunch stop restaurants. Can’t wait to do it again!

Brilliant service. Nothing has been any trouble for the advisor doing our booking. Organising travel from the other side of the world is often difficult and time consuming, not this time.

We had a trip scheduled for April 2020 but COVID happened and we had to cancel a month before the trip. The Natural Adventure went way beyond the call of duty and gave us full credit to reschedule the trip for September 2022! All communication has been quick and detailed. Fantastic road plans and all instructions are clear. I have all the faith in the world that this company will guide us through a memorable experience with no problems.

We have enjoyed three walking holidays with The Natural Adventure Company. Walking the Amalfi Coast and Mountains, The West Highland Way, and Hadrian’s Wall Path. All three were amazing! The trips were well organized and catered to our specific needs. Yana was very responsive and extremely professional.

We thoroughly enjoyed The Corfu Trail during May 2022. It was well organised and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. So we have just booked The Path of the Gods and Chianti Wine Trails in Tuscany.
It was easy to book with The Natural Adventure because all my many questions were taken seriously and answered well.
The bonus was that their prices were the lowest that we could find.

We loved our trip biking in the Lake district around Salzburg. Natural Adventure did an incredible job booking our hotels, providing excellent quality bikes with spacious panniers, offering a very functional app for tracking our location, and most importantly for routing us to beautiful places with safe paths and roads to get there. Our only suggestion would have been providing a little bit more information about each place.
