I took up the opportunity to go on the Taste of Oslo Walking Tour. The price was1,080.00 NOK and the meet up location was outside the chocolate store Freia on Karl Johan street. A few of us in the tour did get confused because there was a BIG FREIA red sign on the other side of the street, 1 of the tour members was lost and couldn't find the chocolate store but joined us later at the restaurant - she said she was waiting at the BIG FREIA sign shop. Good thing I double checked it on google maps instead of going to the big red sign myself. Our tour guide was holding up a small sign 'Taste of Oslo Walking Tour' standing outside the chocolate shop - on time. We all gathered quickly. I met lovely people from America and one girl from the UK. We had a great walk, we got to know a bit of history, tried waffles, traditional bread, fish, traditional mini bite-sized dishes (dried / preserved meat and cheese) and different Oslo drinks. I tried deer and whale meat for the first time and it was interesting. I had so much fun learning, seeing, and trying so many different foods. Things were spread out a bit so we weren't constantly eating so that was great. On the website and on my confirmation email, it stated If You Have Oslo Passs-We will refund you the 15%. I put down yes when I applied for the tour. And I let my tour guide know, she took a picture of my paper oslo pass and said she would pass it onto her company but in the end I never received the 15% back. But I just decided to let it go and leave it since it was such a fun experience. Despite the fact it was freezing.
