TeamNerds - Website Design Grifters

If I could give negative stars, I would. Team Nerds/Abe (Abhishek Dubey) has a slick website, but actually runs a predatory grifting business (D+ rating on BBB/5 Google Reviews/only 8 FB Followers). We agreed on a price and terms for a website design. First alarm: he asks for a 50% deposit, then keeps asking for more pre-payments with no work product shown. When my photo/text assets were delayed I was in regular contact informing Abe. Soon, he requested more money (as with every phone call) towards the total and agreed to renew any "Wordpress Backend" and the original price would be honored. So I trusted him unfortunately. My subsequent 3-4 emails had no reply, likely because he had enough money for the short term! The grift gets worse. When I delivered my assets (photos and business brochure), he stated it would be $850 more for the same website project we had already agreed would be $1,500! Abe's grift is this: 1) get a high downpayment so client works with you 2) raise price at every turn by stating "Wordpress Backend gets Auto -Deleted" (?really?) and we have to start all over - everyone knows that Wordpress Backend is the simple "choose and move" dashboard of Wordpress. 3) More money needed — he doubles down on the magic "auto-delete" problem by stating his servers have no room (most websites are 2-3 MB!). It was sobering for me to have to accept that Abe was completely unethical, and that his business model was the predatory business practice just described. Stay... far... away!!
