While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

To protect platform integrity, every review on our platform—verified or not—is screened by our 24/7 automated software. I’d like to clarify that The Tech Gurus Limited has no involvement in any unauthorised transactions on your bank account. We operate strictly on a Business-to-Business (B2B) basis and do not process payments from individual or domestic customers under any circumstances.

It’s possible that you may have unknowingly made a purchase online—perhaps through social media platforms such as Facebook—which has unfortunately led to fraudulent activity. These types of scams are sadly quite common.

As the Managing Director of The Tech Gurus Limited, I’d be happy to speak with you further if needed. In the meantime, I would strongly recommend that your bank investigates the transaction thoroughly, traces the source of the payment, and takes the appropriate steps to recover the funds and pursue those responsible.
And removal of this review would be greatful - after all, you did not have the courtesy to contact us directly and thought a review on here would be your first port of call to action.

I believe the people you are looking for are here: https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/techitguru.com

Here is the correct course of action - just to be helpful:

Immediate Actions:

Contact your bank immediately. Your card issuer is legally required to stop future payments under a continuous payment authority (CPA) when you request it. Call the number on the back of your card and inform them the payment is unauthorized and you want all future related charges stopped.

Gather evidence:
Collect any records of the transaction, website interactions (if any), and communications with your bank. This will be useful if you need to pursue a refund.

Monitor your account:
Keep a close eye on your bank statements to ensure no further unauthorised payments slip through. If more payments are taken after your cancellation request, your card issuer must refund them immediately.

Seeking a Refund and Reporting:
Request a chargeback or Section 75 claim. Ask your bank to initiate a chargeback (for debit cards) or a Section 75 claim (for credit cards) to attempt to recover the money you have already lost.

Report the scam:
Report the issue to the national fraud reporting centre in the UK.
Report to Action Fraud by calling 0300 123 2040.

Escalate if necessary:

If your bank refuses to help or provide a refund, you can make a formal complaint and escalate it to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS). The FOS will assess if the bank acted correctly in handling your complaint
