Their new fit to size really helped me find the right size. When I tried on the shoes they fit really well, and I love them. Very comfy and no need to break in. I really got great everyday work shoes from walking co.
I purchased sandals that were $129 and after 3 months of normal use, not every day, they are already falling apart. I've sent photos to the company that show on both shoes the tears in the seams around the base pad of the shoe, the sides are coming off. I was told that was normal wear and tear and they cannot refund or replace.

Wouldnt process refunds! The items reached them over 10 days ago and they say they have system discrepency and then go unresponsive to process refunds. Fraudulent company! Stay away

Quick shipping and great quality! I bought some new clogs from dansko with the new 20% off. Some of the reviews I've seen made me a bit nervous about buying, but it ended up being very smooth. Customer service assisted, and the clogs fit very well! I will be coming back for more :D
Yesterday, I ordered two pairs of shoes from this company. When I read the receipt, it showed that they're sending me the wrong size for one of the pairs. So, I called the number on the receipt. Whoever answered had me go through a ridiculous number of loopholes to prove my identity including asking me for my personal bank account and routing number. I didn't use my bank to pay for these shoes - I used Cap 1. I had to call them 4 times yesterday because the call kept dropping and I couldn't get confirmation that they would send me a return label to return the small shoes for the right size. In addition, they kept trying to sell me a $100 gift voucher to Target or Walmart for $5.95. I only wanted a return label to return the small shoes for my correct size. When I finally hung up for the last time, I was flabbergasted by the entire ordeal. I just spent an hour at my bank this morning getting a new checking/savings account. I could kick myself for giving them my bank information when I didn't even use the bank with that information to buy the shoes. I don't know who these people are but they cannot possibly represent this store. I eventually googled the store's customer service number and got hold of a woman who spoke fluid English. The others I spoke with yesterday were nearly impossible to understand and they spoke over me during each call I made to them. The issue will eventually be resolved now that I have the correct customer service number. I do NOT recommend that you waste your time with this company. Find the shoes you want elsewhere. Utter nightmare.

Horrific customer service. I realized after submitting an online order that an incorrect address had overwritten the address i filled in when checking out. I attempted immediately to correct that - twice within the same night via email to their customer service and again via phone two days later. they would not correct the shipping address and would not refund the purchase despite my contacting them well within the timing to correct. the 1 star reviews indicate this a terrible company to try and do business with. i would avoid at all costs - there are so many places to buy shoes from - choose one that is reputable and has good customer service.
I searched the web for a pair of comfortable white sandals to wear to a class reunion. Most of the reviews were OK, but some comments always alluded to the fact that something about them was uncomfortable. Then I went to the Walking Company website and read the reviews for their ABEO Riviera Stretch sandal.
They arrived in less than a week, and didn’t break the bank. I couldn’t believe how comfortable they were, right out of the box! I am 79 with common foot problems for my age, including two bunion surgeries and I pride myself in dressing stylishly.

Made my first purchase with this company recently. I bought sandals that had just been reduced on "Final Sale." The sandals I received were dirty and had obviously been worn in dirt. When I contacted the company, they offered a credit vs. the refund I requested. After seeing the complaints on this website regarding refund processing, I didn't fight it. Their email stated that "final sale" meant just that, despite the credit and acknowledgement that this was unfortunate. however, final sale isn't legally binding when a product is mis-represented. I did let their customer experience team know my disappointment with the wording. The sneakers I ordered with the credit were new, thankfully.
These shoes from The Walking Company are comfortable and affordable. I recommend them as a solid purchase. Definitely worth the reasonable cost for supportive, well made footwear.

As others have mentioned, it is nearly impossible to return shoes from this place. I got errors on their website when trying to do a return (within their posted return time) so emailed them. No response. I called and now they are saying it is too late to return them. There are a lot of places you can get quality shoes. I would avoid this place.

Easy experience and fast shipping. Shoes were great and customer service was knowledgeable and helped with an easy exchange. Reading the other reviews here I’m shocked as this wasn’t my experience at all. Maybe they are under new ownership.

Love their quality - BUT - as only place to buy is online, you must know exactly the fit you need. Returns and exchanges are EXTREMELY DIFFICULT, and they charge you for the return.
Do not order from The Walking Company's online store! I ordered a pair of Dansko clogs in the size I normally ordered in back in April of 2024. I tried them on and they were too big. I called to return and get a refund. The customer service rep said, "Okay I will be sending you your store credit when we receive the shoes". I told her I wanted a refund. That never happened a credit voucher shows up in my email about 3 weeks later. I called and was told I would get a refund. Never came! I decided just to use the credit on a pair of sandals. Again too big. I called for an exchange for a smaller size on 06/01/2024. Fed Ex confirms receipt of return on 06/06/2024. I called on 07/03/2024. I was told the item was sold out. I stated the representative stated it was available on June 1st when I called. It has been a run around. DO NOT buy from them. For years I went to the retail stores to buy my shoes for work. They closed and there are not stores in my area. The on-line store is a joke. I have a credit of $125.00 that who knows if I will ever receive a well made shoe in a size that fits. I do not have faith!!
I finally got the smaller size. They do not fit well but were marked. “No returns or exchanges”.
I did finally receive a refund. A customer service representative tried to call me back but I didn’t answer as I don’t answer numbers I don’t know. I am satisfied with the outcome but wish it hadn’t taken so many phone calls.
the worst company to buy shoes from. The sale shoes arent fit to be given away to charity. The first ones I ordered , i couldnt even get my foot into ballet flats . so tight was the elastic sewing. The second pair velcro was made so badly they were impossible to attach. Whats so hard about making a shoe. Because they are made in China probably pay 2 cents an hour. Dont buy these shoes. No refund at all.
Ordered a pair of boots and they arrived in a damaged condition. Called customer service --they were out of country and told me I would have to pay a return fee even though the shoes were damaged. The day I ordered the boots they started to bombard me with marketing emails. I really regret not having checked online reviews first, as this company has a really bad reputation.
I ordered 2 pairs of shoes-very uncomfortable, they reminded me of cheap Payless shoes. I returned both via FedEx and received neither a refund nor any communication from the company . I was able to check FedEx tracking and confirm they had been delivered 2+ weeks earlier. I called Walking Co. Customer service and they refunded my money - makes me wonder, what happens if you don’t call and follow up, or if you are busy and forget? This company seems like a scam. Also, they charged me $10 for the return. Save your money and buy shoes somewhere else!
I ordered a pair of shoes that turned out to be permanently out of stock, they charged me for them, sent me an order confirmation and never notified me of the status of the order. After emailing and calling the company several times with no answer after this, over a week later I finally got in touch with them by phone the minute that they opened their telephone lines for the day. After the CSR got in touch with the walking co team, the rep told me that someone must have ordered them at exactly the same time that I did and they got the shoes. Then why were both orders charged? And why did I have to pursue a refund that this rep told me I would receive? I will let trust pilot know if I do not receive the promised refund. Poor service. I do not advise dealing with this company.
Didn’t ship as promised. Don’t answer phones or emails to customer service.
Would give a zero if could.
Ordered shoes, company took my money, next day cancelled the order. Did not fully refund me. They charged my VISA before shipping and refunded based on a different exchange rate leaving me short.
No response to customer service inquiries.
Buyer be very aware. Have made BBB complaint.
