A wonderful addition to Burnley's cafe scene. I had no idea that this quirky, interesting place existed until friends suggested that we go there for lunch. It's housed in the old Cross Keys pub at the very end of St James Street-and don't let the scaffolding outside deter you. Inside there's an imaginatively decorated brewhouse-serving a large variety of teas and coffees-and a bistro. The food was marvellous-freshly cooked to order using good quality ingredients and very reasonably priced. Service was cheerful and welcoming. Don't expect your food straight away-it has to be cooked after you order but it is well worth waiting for. Give The Winter Lotus a try-you won't be diappointed. I'll certainly be going back again!
