Shocking online experience

Shocking online experience. Used it for the first time as the local store didn't have what I wanted in stock. Bought a load of paints and got an email that said it would take up to 7 days which is poor bit they were a good price. It's been a month. No paints, no email nothing. I tried phoning but there are 10 people ahead of me. I emailed and got an auto-truly saying it would take 5 days to respond. Nothing. Absolute garbage service.

A shame because the local high street store is amazing and the staff there really nice and helpful.

Not sure what has happened to The…

Not sure what has happened to The Works, ordered 10 working days later no tracking still, 14 days emailed customer services, 7 days later no response, called customer services answer message say closed due to an emergency, can't even contact them to cancel the order.

So bad and horrible

Customer service is horrendous and so slow

I ordered some books to be delivered to my local store it’s been over 4 weeks and I still haven’t had a dispatch email or any updates. I contacted their customer service when it had been 2 weeks and they took a week to respond saying I could ask for a refund which I did, they never got back to me nor refunded me

They have now said it’s with evri and they can’t do anything about it despite the fact I asked for a refund a week before it was “dispatched”

Extremely disappointing experience - DON'T ORDER!

Extremely disappointing experience. I placed an order on the 9th September. Half of my order didn't arrive. I got in touch with Customer Service on the 24th September, and I still have not heard back. I got a refund on one item with no communication about it, and still am missing 3 books. Tracking for my order has completely disappeared - when I try to track it, the site says the order cannot be found. Literally no communication from a human being at all. Completely ridiculous to have no warning of any delivery issues and a complete lack of customer service. I can see this several people are having the same issue - I certainly will never be buying from The Works again!

Order no show. Emails falling into the abyss.

I placed an order 3rd September.
Today is 1st October and I’m still missing four items.
Due to a warehouse move they say to expect a disruption of orders ten days from delivery. I’ve lost count of how many days I’m on.

Customer services not replying to emails. Completely ignored. And they have my money whilst I have no product.

Two of the books that have arrived have big stickers on the covers. Have complained about that and not recieved a reply on rectifying that either.

Overall. Pretty terrible!

Dreadful service

Order placed for 10 items on 7th September. No delivery and no communication until I enquired 12 days later. One item was eventually delivered on 30th September. Other items out of stock. Money taken on 9th September no refund given as of today 30th September.

Wrong order delivered and customer service unavailable

Placed order for 12 books, some word searches and some sewing craft items a couple of weeks ago. Delivery arrived today to my name and address with the order number but what was delivered was not what was ordered. Instead of my £70 order I received a £2 kids A4 pad!!! Spent all afternoon trying to get in touch with customer care and at one point was on hold for over 1 hour!! Still not been able to speak to anyone.

No tracking, no order, no one bothered!!

Never used to have issues, yes they are relocating but it's no excuse for the lack of customer services, the lack of keeping a website up to date or simply letting customers know where their orders are.
Ordered over 3 weeks ago still not dispatched. 1 item was refunded after email saying out of stock, item still being sold as instock online. When contacted the works about order not dispatched yet enquiry is just ignored. Guess my enquiry when to Mars. Order now simply says notracking available. Yh clearly cause your not bothered. Lost all faith now in this online service after years of no issues or problems.

ZERO communication about an ongoing delivery issue

UPDATE -
I finally received my order with FIVE books missing and no refund!!! Completely not acceptable, complete fraudsters!!!

Placed an order on the 14th September. Has been over 10 working days and have not heard anything nor has it been received. Called customer service and was told there is “still” a delivery issue and she cannot give me any date of when it will be dispatched. No apology and no hope it will be any time soon. Would be nice if they could send an email to their customers to let them know there is a delay rather than taking our money and being silent.

Waiting for my package 20 days +

Waiting for my package since more than 20 days. It said 7 working days when I ordered tomorrow will be working day 17.
Got a message say sorry for the delay we will let you know when your package will be dispatched ….so package until now not packed or processed. Ordered for my son birthday 2 weeks ago and some things for my daughter’s birthday in one week.

Really disappointed about the short message and the bare minimum of apology and to tell me to wait.
Poor customer service.

Ordered 7 items at the beginning of…

Ordered 7 items at the beginning of September, one item out of stock and 5 were delivered in 3 parcels, all arriving at different times. Last one left on the door step in the pooring rain. Email twice about the missing item, they can not be bother to reply. I think trading Standards should start looking in to the company

If I could give it zero star I would. Placed an order on the 29th of August and still waiting for it to arrive!!!!
No email confirmation no nothing so I can’t even check the progress of my order!

First time of ordering online with…

First time of ordering online with them. Paid, including postage. Waited, waited, waited. No sign of order. Rang them. Told they had moved warehouse and were behind with orders. Could not estimate when would be fulfilled. Asked if wanted refund.
Now we wait, wait, wait for said refund.
Told today they are out of stock and they will send a refund!!!
Why not put delivery delays down when placing order? And does it take 3 weeks to refund (will be a month in total).

Customer Service should be renamed CustomerNoservice

Wow, place an order over 2 weeks ago, knowing they were doing a warehouse move and the order COULD be delayed UPTO 7 days. Get an email after 10 days saying the order will be delayed. Now a simple query, how long? Days, weeks or months. Response it's delayed. No **** Sherlock, I knew that, you've already told me that. Followed up again, no response, followed again another week later. No response. This must be the s*****t response I've ever had from a high street store.

Upshot. If they don't have it in store, go elsewhere, don't order it online.

Don't place an order online r

I placed an order online 5 days ago, today I got an email saying they could not fulfil the order. Absolutely ridiculous in this day and age this can happy but in 5 days they have had my money and now will take another 5 days to get it back. Don't go near them. Cowboys.

Poor customer service

So I ordered 5 jigsaws on 1st September. Never received so I contacted customer service. All I had back was an email stating they were experiencing problems due to.moving.
Today I received a parcel with only one jigsaw in. No note of explanation. I rang up and eventually they answered. I was advised that I would not be receiving the rest and that I would have to have a refund (which I am might add has been processed.
My point here is the lack of communication. Had I not rung up, I wonder what would have happened.
Wont be buying from here again, which is a shame as I have spent a lot of money with this Company.

Do not order on line

Do not order on line. I ordered 2 paint your own mugs and both items arrived damaged due to no packaging in the parcel to protect them. Contacted customer service and sent them photos as they requested they admitted in the email that the items are unusable and instead of offering a refund or replacement they offer a discount to keep. Not impressed with the slow response from customer service and now ending up paying for items that arrived damaged and also are dangerous as they are chipped I can't get a full refund.
