We will never use Thrifty again
We will never use Thrifty again. We opted to try an electric vehicle when we were spending a week in Ft Myers Florida area. We waited in a long line to get the vehicle. Once we were in the vehicle, it had less than half a charge. We asked to get a different vehicle which they exchanged and it had almost a full charge. We drove it to our destination and parked it. It had plenty of charge left. The next day, my husband went to move the vehicle and it flashed a bunch of errors and would not start. We called thrifty and they said the car was out of charge. They advised that we would have to pay to have it towed to a charging station or towed back to the airport. We had it towed back to the airport and got a gas vehicle in exchange. We wasted an entired day of our vacation switching out vehicles. The thrifty customer service told us that if the car had a mechanical failure then we would get reimbursed for the tow fee. I never heard from Thrifty, I had to reach out to them and they said the car was assessed and doesn’t meet the requirements to reimburse us the tow charges. We will never use them again.
