SUPERBERB CUSTOMER SERVICE
Living in Michigan, we explored various vinyl tile options and came across TileBar which is located in New York, on Long Island. We were apprehensive even though their web site is extremely user-friendly because we weren't sure how the actual tile would look in person.
We were put in touch with their customer representative, Cristina Maggi and from then on we were handled with kid gloves.
Cristina walked us through the entire process, assisting us with our tile selection: Moxy XL Timber Beige Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring and she even sent us samples so we could see how it looked on our floor. Cristina explained TileBar's process and once we made our selection, she stayed with us every step of the way until the tile was delivered to our home. It was installed the next day and the result is so spectacular, the four rooms that are now covered appear larger than ever. TileBar is the real deal and Cristina Maggi is a God send. Thank you!

Get your supplies somewhere else
I ordered tile over a month ago and still have not received my order. I’ve gotten multiple backorder notifications which has delayed the entire shipment. In addition, due to the delay in shipment more items are now backordered, which were originally in stock. This has further delayed the whole process. The only two items I have received so far are two broken bags of grout and a tube of caulking, although their selection is very good, their shipping and order fulfillment is absolutely terrible. Apparently no one at this company knows how to pick and pack orders while accounting for backordered items. orders that are received should be fulfilled as much as possible and set aside for completion when the backordered items arrive. You don’t backorder the entire order and not fulfill or pack any of it in preparation for shipment. This is super simple business stuff that you guys should really know. unless you want something really specific that only tile bar carries I would definitely get my supplies elsewhere.

I work for Home Depot and had a…
I work for Home Depot and had a customer who wanted to order special order tile from Tilebar for an install of a backsplash- we only partially received the order with one of the boxes damaged so we sent one of the boxes back and called Tilebar - and we called Tilebar again and got hung up on after we stayed on the phone with them for over 30 mins so then I called again and they hung up on us again after they transferred us - then I called again and someone gave me an email address because they couldn't help me. Now my customer is frustrated because of the tile hold up we cannot proceed with installation. We ordered the tile over a month ago, its been over a week and nobody has even answered the email that was sent and I keep calling Tilebar and I still keep getting hung up on. Will never encourage anyone to order from Tilebar ever again.

Tilebar has dishonestly presented a…
Tilebar has dishonestly presented a product. Our order number 101344560 was for Asian Statuary Marble. They used the phrase "Natural Stone" in the first paragraph of their product introduction.
They define as: “Natural Stone” is defined as an organic solid composition made up of natural minerals quarried from the earth. The origin story of natural stone starts million years ago, as a combination of heat and pressure condensed various minerals to form solid rocks in the ground.
Tilebar calls it a Polished Marble that is "authentic high-grade.. marble. They claim; The lightness of this natural stone boasts a complimentary gray veining that allows the unique nature of the marble to shine through. They used the word authentic several more times in the original sales effort.
We obviously bought and installed their product as a gas fireplace surround. The tiles just beneath the fireplace are all turning yellow a couple of years after installation. It's not heat, here in MN the last few days have been 1 degree for highs. Our fireplace with fan has been on quite a bit. The tiles and the metal edges are always cool to cold. It's not fumes escaping; we always leave our pilot flame ON all year long. Whatever moisture comes close is evaporated, inside and out. I've had it serviced regularly - no rust, no rust holes in the metal skin. It can't be cleaned off - see below.
THE PROBLEM THAT TILEBAR HIDES BEHIND IS THAT THEY USE THE PHRASE "MARBLE LOOK" IN THE SPECIFICATIONS.
MARBLE LOOK MEANS THAT THIS PRODUCT IS ESSENTIALLY THE PRESSED BOARD OF THE MARBLE WORLD. IT IS MARBLE CHIPS OR MARBLE SAWDUST OR SOMETHING SIMILAR IN A GLUE BASE.
IT IS THE GLUE THAT IS CHANGING COLOR. MOST LIKELY NOW ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE TILE FRONT TO BACK. CAN'T BE CLEANED.
We want a refund. The fireplace is in a central part of our kitchen. It attracts attention. The tile originally warranted that attraction. Now it punishes.
NO REPLY TO NUMEROUS REQUESTS
Ordered Topacio Light Blue 2x10 subway tile and coordinating Topacio Light Blue 2x10 bullnose in November. Was told the bullnose was backordered until December 4th. Waited and when the bullnose arrived and the installer opened the boxes it is NOT bullnose, but more field tile. My "rep" asked me to email photos, I did so on December 13th, today is the 18th with no response. My rep has not yet responded to three voice messages and two emails.... I am left hanging. I am a custom home builder, this can't happen as I don't know what to tell my customer!!

Tilebar will take every dollar they can from you. If I could have found the tile I needed somewhere else. If you want to return something theres a charge, and they sent me 3 of the wrong items and now given me the run around with giving me my full credit back for the shipping cost.
If I could give less stars I would
If I could give less stars I would. HORRIBLE customer service. Ordered tile. Paid the skip the line. Received tile and half of it is broken. Called customer service. The reps are awful. Then to report broken tile you send pics and quantity to an email they send you. After that you receive an email saying they are sending replacement but sorry about your luck if this one shows up broken too. I asked to speak to someone. Held forever finally same person came back and said everyone was busy but I was in a queue to be called back. Don’t hold your breath it never happened.
Worst customer service ever. Do not order from here. They have some nice tiles but find something else elsewhere. Awful.

Beautiful tiles, well packaged, arrived safely
I had a great experience with tilebar! We ordered a lot of samples to decide what would best sit our outdoor kitchen island. Please settled on a lovely green tile. The tiles were well packaged and arrived safely. Using the recommendation on the website, we ended up with just enough tile to get the job done! 10 of 10 would recommend!

DO NOT PAY THE EXTRA $100 to "Skip the line". They hours are too limited. If you call at 3:30 pm they ate closed (even though the hours state they are open until 5:00 pm . They also do not work weekends. I placed an order on 9/15 paid the extra $100 and here it is 9/22 and I still do not have the tiles .

Terrible experience
Terrible experience. Received an order of $1300 worth of tile 2 weeks after ordering, 98% of what was delivered was shattered. The order was placed in my driveway on a pallet, where it was obviously haphazardly packed, and no miracle could have saved it during shipping. When I reached out to customer service I had to email 6 times before ever receiving a response (don’t even bother calling, no one will pick up). They were unapologetic at best. I was issued a refund and when I asked what they planned to do with 500lbs of trash (useless tile) that was dumped in my driveway they said it is on me to figure out and asked that I “hold on to it for up to 30 days in case their claims department needed to physically inspect it” (I sent 30 photos and a video) The removal and disposal will cost me at minimum $200 to have a junk removal company come and pick it up. What a waste of time and money. 0/5 stars.

3 weeks and no tile
Very disappointed. I Ordered tile 3 weeks ago. Two of the three tiles were in stock at the time with one expected in a short time later. I’ve had a couple of emails from my rep promising that the tile will ship but still nothing. They apparently have moved warehouses and that has caused issues. Bottom line for me is I have a project that is waiting on this material and I never expected such a lack of response. I am going out tomorrow to source this tile from another vendor. I do not have confidence that tile bar will deliver. Will not order again. I don’t blame my rep- his hands are tied. There seems to be a lack of management and accountability within the fulfillment side of the house

Expensive shipping with destroyed tile
I ordered for a small kitchen backsplash job. Their shipping cost hiked the cost by $3/sq ft. The tile arrived poorly packed in eco-friendly shredded paper with 30% of the tile destroyed. Customer service responded relatively quickly but their resolution and return policy is pretty limited. The whole experience delayed the job. I would not order from Tilebar again. Maybe OK if you have one of their stores close but shipping seems over their competence level

Wrong material sent replacement is taking over a week, customer service is horrible.
They sent the wrong tile then took several days to process the replacement. I had to reached out to find our when to expect the order we since they never did tell me, after 3 days its still not shipped. I was told it would ship on Friday but it did not and now im waiting to see if it will go out on Monday. I had to argue with them for 45 minutes and wad sent to three departments before they agreed to expedite shipping and not charge me. Ridiculous how they treat their customers. I'll never place another order and I'll let my clients know they are an unreliable source.

UPDATE ON "Absolutely horrible"
FINAL UPDATE: 8/3/23
They resolved the issue fairly and I'm satisfied with the resolution.
AS OF JULY 31ST, STILL HASN'T PRIORITIZED ME TO RESOLVE ISSUE DESPITE RESPONDING HERE & CLAIMING OTHERWISE.
Absolutely horrible!
Placed an order online - took out $ for full order same day. THREE DAYS later received email that OUT OF STOCK on some items. I advised to ship what they DO have. They didn't.
2 weeks later called. STILL NOT SHIPPED? "logistics problem" said will PRIORITIZE AND HAVE IT AT MY PROPERTY within 2 days. Did not receive. Called. Still not shipped because of the "warehouse". ?? No call, no email again.
Finally speak with a "supervisor" who then said it'll be sent but another company will call to set up. Won't be until another four days until I MIGHT hear from THEM.
TRUST ME.... don't use this company. ESPECIALLY if you have a time line. Also, WATCH your statement for what they take out and what they ACTUALLY send.

Amulet Madre Perla
We ordered 2 pallets of the same tile & one was damaged by the shipper!! The tile was on sale & discontinued. I asked TileBar if they would give us the sale price on one of the other color choices even though the other colors are not on sale but would be the only option for a cohesive look to what we currently installed. TileBar refused to do so & did not make it right!!

The absolute worst
This was ridiculous. I placed an order for samples early on a Tuesday morning (before 9AM), and paid for "guaranteed next day delivery." However, by 5PM on Wednesday, I had no samples. I called "customer service" and, after being forced to listen to extremely discordant on-hold music for quite a while, I was told that my order was "still processing," but they didn't know why. They told me that they would refund the amount I paid for next day delivery (thanks!), but assured me that they weren't actually cancelling my order, and that I would have my samples on Friday (which is today). Anyway - surprise!!!! (not really) - no samples! I just spoke with "customer service" once again who, after making me listen to the same hideous music, informed me that my order was "still processing" (but they still don't know why). In addition, because the "processing department" had gone home for the day (which makes sense, since it's 2:30PM!), the best that they could do was to "guarantee" that I might get my samples next Wednesday. Or Thursday. Because "next day" means the next day AFTER a 24 hour (or, in this case, 6 day) turnaround time. Oh, but they made to sure to tell me that it wasn't my fault. Whew! I was worried! Anyway, Tilebar, you just lost a large job this time - and I will definitely never use you in the future.

This company is horrendous
This company is horrendous! I placed two orders with a guaranteed second day delivery. The first shipment did arrive on time but the edging we ordered in the delivery was bent. The second shipment is now 5 days past the guaranteed two day shipping window and they literally could not offer us anything. The supervisor was completely unhelpful and basically said they did their part and its on UPS even though they literally up-charge you for this "guaranteed 2 delivery". They do not stand by their word, offer terrible customer service, and are downright unhelpful. I would not recommend this company unless you are willing to deal with incompetence and feel completely frustrated.

Shipped wrong tile labeled as correct tile
Our contractor ordered the tile we selected from TileBar. As installation began, two-thirds of the boxes of tile were the wrong color and mislabeled as the corect color. Our job is now set back weeks. This will be the last time we order from TileBar.

Didn't send me the entire order and then charged me for the rest.
I ordered tile in advance of a bathroom remodel. Turns out they didn't send me all the tile I purchased as I was short a box but by the time I discovered it, I had already passed the deadline for any sort of compensation. I called and asked if they would make an exception and while they acknowledged it was their mistake, they would not send me another box for free-- even though I had already paid for it. I had to order another box of tile, even though it was their mistake, and they charged me $240 for it.
