After calling a few local HGV companies around the Shrewsbury area to inquire on taking my C+E rating, once I spoke to owners Pam and Steve Tilston, I felt confident Tilstone Training Ltd were the right choice. All staff are very friendly, and made me feel at home and relaxed from the very first meeting. As a previous helicopter instructor I was hoping for a professional syllabus and instruction. Steve was my instructor for the training period and Dave performed my reversing exam. Steve was absolutely fantastic in his training methods and very patient. The instructors (Dave and Andy) were kind, patient, and explained everything in great detail. They made me feel comfortable, and put absolutely no pressure on me at all. After initially contacting a number of companies to complete my c1, Tilston was recommended to me and I’m so glad they were. From start to finish they were brilliant; from my initial call with Sam who was so informative and explained everything to me, to the material they supply to help you pass your hazard and theory, to the training they provide to help you pass you test first time. Everyone was so friendly and Dave who was my instructor was incredible, he immediately put me at ease and his knowledge was invaluable. Thank you all! I would highly recommend Tilston to anyone.

Amazing . If you need to book any hgv c1 , trailer , lorry whatever please please stop looking and book with Tilston. Not only were they the cheapest in the country for me as I am training to be a paramedic so even cheaper . But let the reviews speak for themselves. The service is exceptional from start to finish . Provided a brilliant app for my theories and booked my theories for me. Then for my practical practise I had Dave for my driving , and Sam for the time before my test . They were brilliant at making me feel comfortable and at ease and it doesn’t feel like pressured very relaxed . I’m so grateful to have found these guys . Thanks so much I’ll tell everyone to come here even driving from the midlands for 2 hours was worth it . Thanks again Zoe

My experience with tilston was made as easy going as possible and all staff were so friendly. I passed my C1 first time, which was down to the quality of the lessons provided by Dave. I also did my theory through tilston, where they supplied me with a revision pack which was brilliant and set me up to passing. I would highly recommend this company!

Just passed my C1 practical today with these guys on my first attempt, thanks to Gary and dave and the rest of the team(Steve) who are very professional, felt at ease throughout the two days, would highly recommend to anyone looking to complete further driving qualification, also thanks to Justin the Irish guy who made my practical test very at ease and comfortable felt so relaxed
