Doorbell does work so long as I never click update but the backyard toucan cam is just useless waste of money.
Stay clear of these products…
Shocking after service when anything goes wrong - cameras constantly disconnecting randomly then won’t reconnect - customer service useless, makes you jump through hoops to get a reply - both cameras that I bought with my doorbell stopped working so I sent them back - got a snotty email to say I had to bring up another dispute as the old one had expired - seriously, don’t touch with a bargepole

We replace the door bell 3 times
We have had to replace the door bell camera 3 times and the rear camera once. They seem to not be weather resistant or robust. The latest door bell camera now has blured vision and static when recording.
Really poor - avoid
I can only echo what other reviewers have said. I have bought two video doorbells and both have had exactly the same issue after a short time - constantly going offline. I even bought a dedicated eero router for the second one to make sure the signal was strong enough. But no, they just don't seem fit for purpose for any length of time - don't know if it's weather that affects them or just shoddy manufacture. The only positive thing is the app, which I found easy to use, and the lack of need for a subscription unless you want to store more than a day's video clips. Very disappointed.

I renewed my IPTV subscription but they shut down the service, I sent them the receipt for my payment but no response.
Glitchy waste of money.
I purchased 2 x Toucan cameras and a Toucan doorbell in 2023. I constantly had problems with one of the cameras being offline despite only being a few metres from the router. This went on for a long time but a lot of the time I didn't notice until I needed to use the camera. Then I noticed the doorbell was also offline! I tired restting it, rebooting it, deleting it but it wouldn't work or even charge up. Tech support basically said, yeah, it's broke mate and offered me 20% off a new one! (as if). On top of this the doorbell was very laggy and the person ringing my bell had often left by the time my phone connected if it did at all! (often it didn't) My advice, don't waste your money on this company.

I bought 2 cameras and a doorbell set and every single bit of kit failed within the warranty period. The replacements then failed within a year. Toucans answer was to “discount” me buying replacements.
Awful kit. Get something else!
Toucan Door bell
I have had the Toucan doorbell camera for several months now. The connection to the single chime regularly falls out, and the charge on the bell/camera lasts only a matter of days.
I regret that I cannot recommend a purchase. No, I have not taken the faults up with the supplier. I haven't the energy.

My toucan doorbell is 14 months old
My toucan doorbell is 14 months old. I understand it's 2 months out of warranty. It's developed a video fault which toucan said its definitely their product fault. I emailed over my receipt as asked. Got told out of warranty, nothing they can do. I'm sure in the UK the supplier's warranty is 6 years. Comments please.

I have been dealing with the Toucan…
I have been dealing with the Toucan supervisor called Harvey, my whole house is fitted with Toscana cameras, and one by one they started to fail after the warranty period. I have asked them to repair the camera and his words was, this not of warranty I have sent the camera back to you. These cameras are not cheap at all. I am now going to have to take legal action against the company for selling faulty products.

Awful waste of money
Awful waste of money. Battery takes a whole day to charge. It has weak WiFi or none even though it’s just outside WiFi box. Don’t imagine putting this on a gate it won’t work. Mine is usually flat or offline so missed parcels and have mostly given up on it

Initially after purchasing I thought it was low price and fit for purpose so I recommended it to a family member who bought and returned theirs within days due to it going offline.
The one I bought and use outdoor started going offline 10months after purchase. I later discovered just over 1 year of purchase that rain water had got into the camera so I contacted Toucan Support who acknowledged the issue, but because it was 15months after purchase they said they can't do anything about it so recommended I purchase a replacement from them.
What a joke, don't buy.

I paid £160 for doorbell with camera & extra security camera. I could’ve bought Ring or Blink for less, but I read some decent reviews on Toucan so thought it’s gotta be ok for the money.
But after 1 week the security camera keeps going offline for days at a time and there’s nothing you can do apart from wait for it to re-connect.
And the doorbell camera view goes all grainey when it’s slightly dark outside. No chance of seeing who might be loitering in front of your house.
Save your money and get a Blink or Ring.

Really poor product
Really poor product. Poor video quality, lag time between door bell being pressed and phone connection. Battery life extremely poor (it will have run out while you on your hols) night vision poor, poor motion detection. Had several door cameras over the years this is by far the worse on to date. Wouldn't recommend.
