I just got my set of tough tags. They seem very durable and unlikely to fall off. They're film-coated, not simply paper. I will definitely be buying more for my other equipment.
Only slight issue is that they're slightly difficult to take off the paper however they are worth the durability. The print is overall good, but there is some slight blurriness.
I have used tough tags for a number of years. They never fail to stay stuck and help my kit to find its way back to me.
So when I ran out of tags to label up new kit I reached out to them to buy some more. The ordering precess is simple and attentive. They were quick to contact me to ensure my order was correct as they thought i had made a mistake, which I had. They are exceptionally fast at responding to questions and even happy to respond on a Sunday. If only other companies treated their customers the same way.
Ordered a set of tough tags in 2010 for my climbing gear. 2022 and the old tags are still attached to all my old gear and not showing any signs of falling off despite all the abuse they've had over the years.
The only reason I've had to order some new tags is because I've lost my original set and I need to label up some new gear.
Can highly recommend if you want something better than duck/insulation tape that the adhesive won't gunk up after 6 months and if a good natured climber finds any crag swag you leave behind there's a chance it will find it's way back to your rack as you without them or you having to post on UKC forums.
