Auction sniping allowed for years.

You can snipe auctions in the last second as they're not adding time after placing bids - Yeah that's not a great system..

What a waste of time.

This is what i got from chatting to Tradera -
"Hello! I know that this is a problem, we have sent over a sugestion if you bid in the last 15 seconds the timer goes up to 20 seconds. But this is something that have followed along over the years and never been looked at"

Great site

Great site. Bought and sold stuff on Tradera for a while now and even though I had problems come up here and there, Tradera helped me with those really quickly.

Only wish it would be more popular in Europe for all kinds of products to reach people.

Beware of monthly promoted listed charges

I created the account with the purpose of selling a few items and I chose to promote some. Once I saw the promoted listings didn't bring sales, I deactivated them. Tradera was nice enough to cancel the initial fees since I didn't know how their fee system worked (I thought I would have to pay only after a sale was made, not every month, regardless of a sale or not).

However, even though all my listings had gone back to free, Tradera kept charging me as promoted every month for them. I contacted them via chat multiple times and explained the situation repeatedly. In one chat, I spent quite a long time explaining exactly what the problem was and sending screenshots, so they could escalate the issue internally. I believed that the issue would be taken care of and there would be no more charges, because every month I had to chat them and ask for the fees to be cancelled.

Well, that didn't happen, as the next month I got charged again! So at this point, I decided Tradera was simply not worth it anymore and after one final heated chat and fees being cancelled again, I decided to delete my account and will never be on this platform again.

Poor customer service and no options to resolve

I have been a buyer/seller on Tradera for nearly 20 years and have a fantastic rating. I have not used the site for about 1 year. Yesterday I made a bid, won the item, and immediately set about paying for it. I received a message that I must verify my identity using Mobil Bank ID before I could make payment. I do not have MOBIL Bank ID...only ID on my laptop. I have an older iPhone and the Mobil app is not compatible and cannot be downloaded. Tradera's customer chatt insists that there are no other alternatives. I have let the seller know what has happened. Now, we both, are unable to go further.

Hitch on the website

The website is not running properly sometimes during auctions, which means that potential buyers can not bid or make payments. Too often changes in the tools of the website, which can be confusing to operate. But also a great platform to sell and buy with a great outreach to both sellers and buyers. Website is so far safe and no problems with crooks or people trying to embezzle.

I registered as a professional seller and registered with my company in the UK. Everything was fine. After that, I received an email stating that I must send the documents for a company. It cost me this time to prepare my company’s documents in order to send them. I sent them and after two days I received an email stating that we do not accept companies outside of Europe. Why is the site open for registration!!! What nonsense! I wasted my time preparing the documents you asked of me, and after that, we do not accept companies outside Europe. I do not advise anyone who wants to register on this platform. It is just a waste of time and unprofessional, because there is something in the site and reality is something, and I have read all of the site’s policies.

My account been deactivated with no…

My account been deactivated with no reason, when I called customer support they don't know why it's been deactivated, but the reason is I sold an Item and i refused to send it to the buyer because of your random check ( the money been blocked until the buyer will confirm receiving the item) this rule protects only the buyer and put the seller between the buyer hand.

I used my right to do not sell the product anymore. So why i will be removed from tradera and I dont have any bad reviews ? I dont recommend selling on this app.

Not safe trading environment

On November 26, I won a bid for a bag from the seller (ID: elinaer) and promptly paid 1690kr for it. Despite my explicit instructions for the delicate soft leather item to be shipped in a box, it arrived wrapped in a thin paper bag, causing leather folds and scratches. In addition, the advertised item significantly differs from its actual condition, with worn-off color and visible signs of leather wear. These issues were undisclosed in the advertisement, where the item was described as having "nothing to comment on."
Despite my attempts to communicate, the seller, ranked as a 'top seller' on Tradera, rudely refused communication and blocked me, leaving me disappointed. With no buyer protection on this auction, Tradera cannot assist with reimbursement. This raises the concern about a safe trading environment, and buyer are always in a vulnerable situation unless paying extra. I'm sharing this experience to caution others.
UPDATE: The reply from Tradera once again confirms the key issue raised in my review: it’s exactly because it’s NOT safe to trade on Tradera, that we need to pay extra to ensure not get cheated like I was by sellers like elinaer.

Liked Tradera a few years back but…

Liked Tradera a few years back but lately have had a couple of bad experiences with it.
Fraudsters seems to have easy life on this platform since there is no control from Tradera administration : once they have pretended to buy our product they are provided with your personal contacts and allowed to review ! Not only they will not pay for the product you sell blocking the sale for several weeks but if you are not careful enough Tradera will invoice you for what you have not sold ! Am considering to step out if Tradera will not start being more careful with tradings and give contacts / reviews opportunities only after PAYMENT has been done.

Tradera updated application

Tradera updated application, after which it did not work properly. The bids turned into auto bids and the app increased the amounts to really big amounts. I had to buy the products I was bidding for at huge prices, even though I hadn't even offered such a large sum for them. Tradera has not acknowledged the problem or even responded to me despite their promise.

Great platform with a very versatile range of items

Its a platform that works really well and with lots of users from around the world. That makes it really versatile for both buying and selling.
The biggest applaus from me is that it seems to be filtrering scammers/spammers away so you can sell without being bothered by fake buyers.

The only wish I have as a private user is that it would be much more "see-throgh" if sellers could Pay a monthly fee instead of the uncertainty of how much it will cost each month in fee...

Tradera allows scammers to operate with impunity!

To Tradera's automatic response: It's not a "dispute" if the seller never contacts me, never intended to send an item, and only used your platform to scam me! Buyers protection should only be applicable if the item is sent, but lost, stolen or damaged. I should not have to pay extra to be protected from CRIME! That's your responsibility as a website, who takes a percentage of a the final price, and also handled the payment via swish. Shame on you!

Tradera basically took my money, and passed it onto a seller who already scammed someone before! They have absolved themselves of any responsibility becuase I didn't pay extra for "buyer protection"!

Here is how it all went...

I purchased a laptop from Tradera with a buy it now option. The seller had 4.3/5 stars, similar to my own rating, so I went ahead with the purchase. There was a NEW option to add "Buyers Protection" which covers you if an item is undelivered, not as described or damaged. This was at an extra cost of 89kr. I decided not to add this, as the seller seemed reliable. After making a payment via swish to Tradera (who takes the payment first, then pays the seller) I was left with no response to texts, emails or calls from the seller.

I then contacted Tradera and told them that the seller is not responding to me. They contacted the seller themselves, who eventually replied, claiming that the item was "lost or stolen before I sent it, Tradera will refund you" which made no sense and seemed like a complete lie.

I asked tradera to refund me, but they refused, due to there being no "buyer protection", which covers you if the item is "undelivered". I don't understand how this applies to me, since the seller never intended to deliver the item in the first place! They eventually told me to file a police report instead.

I find it absolutely absurd and immoral that a company the size of Tradera expects everyone to pay EXTRA to NOT BE SCAMMED! This is completely unfair!

I have reported the crime to the police, who say it's unlikely that I will get my money back. I am now out of 1478kr becuase of Tradera's immoral policies.
