Avoid booking this company if you love…

Avoid booking this company if you love to have your things unbroken and complete in your new home.
Ive book them to get my moms stuff from Germany to Portugal. No box was packet carefully, and a lot of things were broken. From the missing items till today I´m not talking.

AVOID THIS COMPANY!!

Unfortunately my experience was the same as others written here:

Very unprofessional communication, they didn't even show up for the virtual visit... Mistakes on their side for invoicing, very late delivery of belongings because of terrible management, damaged items upon arrival and a missing item which, to this day, two months later, they haven't delivered.

I don't even know how this company keeps operating.

Never ever again

Never ever again. A lot of broken stuff and lost boxes. Also they did not install the furniture as we paid for. They left my mom in a total chaos and lots of broken things. Never got a solution or answer for our requests.

Translowcost Portugal : Disaster: Overpriced, Late, and Destructive

I chose Translowcost Portugal for an international move based on a recommendation, and it turned out to be one of the worst decisions I’ve made.
They started by trying to charge me more than double the original quote, claiming my volume estimate was wrong.

On moving day, scheduled for the morning, they only showed up at 7:30 PM, leaving me waiting all day and forcing me to pay for an extra hotel night.

During transport, a lamp and a desk were broken. Instead of taking responsibility, they asked me to prove why the items couldn’t be repaired… The compensation offered was so low it didn’t even cover replacement costs.

In short: delays, overcharging, damages, bad faith, and zero customer service.
⚠️ I strongly advise against using Translowcost for any international moving service.

We took Translowcost to court and got a refund

We took Translowcost to court and won. Our experience with them was terrible—stressful, frustrating, and depressing. We photographed everything before, during, and after the move, and we have clear proof that many of our items were damaged and not wrapped or handled carefully—or at all.
We asked for a refund of the service fees and compensation for the bed, chairs, table, lamps, bowls, plates, and boxes they damaged. Translowcost acknowledged the lack of premium service but only offered us a small amount, which felt like an insult given what we had paid and the damage we could clearly prove.
Only at the second court hearing did they agree to refund us €2,000. It still cost us significant time, energy, and money to reach that point. Translowcost were a nightmare for us—we honestly wish we had never hired them.
If you want a refund from Translowcost then take them to the Small Claims Court. We did, and we got our €2,000 back. While we couldn’t recover compensation for the damaged items (without going to a higher court), getting the service fee refunded made the effort worthwhile.
Moving house is stressful enough—choose your removal company carefully. Go with one that has good, consistent reviews. Good luck with moving!

Worst moving company

Last May, I moved from Brussels to the Algarve, and for someone who has moved frequently, I have never experienced anything like Translowcostportugal. The delivery guys were rude and complaining about the stuff that had to be taken to different floors. They even left a sofa bed in the hallway with plastic and their blanket on it. I got a box with almost all my stuff broken, and I'm still missing two boxes with kitchen stuff and a monitor. My office chair arrived broken and without a wheel, a large clock has the numbers smashed in, and more. I am calling on anyone who has experienced or is still experiencing problems with them to respond to this message. I am preparing to take legal action against them.

Appauling service

Appauling service. Lack of communication, no agreed timings and when they do they leave you sitting their for a full day. Try to overprice you after they quoted and now have goods. Absolute scammers

SAVE YOUR PRECIOUS TIME AND MONEY!

I moved from Portugal to Spain on Sept 15th of 2023. They delivered many days later and missing two key tools for my daily job. Today, 20 DAYS LATER, my tools are not here yet! I explained I NEEDED THEM FOR MY DAILY JOB AND THAT THEY WERE MAKING ME LOSE MONEY FOR NOT HAVING IT, they basically didn't care at all, said "they tracked the things, that were delivered to another client in another place of the world, that they would send the assets right away... STILL WAITING!!!
I had to spend €300 to replace one of the tools to stop losing time and money and they neither want to pay for it, telling me that the assets "are on the way"!
SAVE TIME AND MONEY, HIRE ANOTHER COMPANY!! The "Low Cost" ends up being a way higher cost than what you'd spend on any other company!

hi with all honesty concerning customer…

hi with all honesty concerning customer assistance and contact i am please but ... i am now starting to get anxious as my things have not yet arrived in the uk/ apparently there have been a few issues with the vans etc but i have to keep on at them and it is now worrying me as i keep being given different dates / it is now starting to hinder me and the dates have not been confirmed / so yes i am worried / it has been well over a month / it was all expected to be around the 18th october/ now they are saying they estimate it in november / then it is holidays then they had problems with the vans / i just pray this now happens as it is giving me a lot of instability and insecurity / the ladies in the office i feel dont know what else to say i do sympathise with them / but if they have so many clients surely this should work on priorities / well i just pray all happens smoothly and urgently as you can all imagine how frustrating it is to be in this situation/ wishing them all the best of luck thank you

Awful transporter

Awful transporter, do not warn and find false justification when their guys are late. When transport is canceled because they missed the meeting, they keep the money and do not refund. Do not waste your time and money with them!!!!

I do not recommend this company

I do not recommend this company. It took more than 35 days for my boxes to arrive, not due to covid but to their poor service. Lack of communication throughout on their side despite my desperation. Eventually after 19 days from moving out, they attempted delivery with no warning after five days of promised deliveries, just as I was leaving the house to go to the pediatrician, they arrived and pretended to leave my 50 odd boxes and pieces of furniture on the road for me to take inside, when they knew very well i was alone with a 7 month old baby and i was not warned about their arrival. When they took my stuff away as I was clearly not able to move it inside myself, they requested other 300 euros to cover the failed delivery and the new delivery as well as the service of downloading and taking stuff in, which it was obviously requested when i hired their services in the first place. When prompted to pay I asked for a waive those costs only to hear nothing back from them. It took then 15 more days to set up new delivery only to be told it could not happen because i had not paid the 300 euros (which, with their silence, I had hoped they waived. At which point, once they had the money they simply gave me the number of their partners who had my stuff and disappeared, only for me to find out the partner intended to deliver 1 week later. Thank god the partner was so nice and understanding they went all the way to try to deliver earlier. When i then requested a refund and compensation (for the international phone bills, the fact that i had to buy lots of things for myself and the baby in face of the huge delays, the stress, and the extensive damage to my properties-due to the way they did not protect my items despite being paid for packaging and because of the way they wrapped my boxes on the pallet) the the company did not even bother to reply, not even with an apology, just like they behaved over the entire 35 days. Don't hire this company, avoid regrets. It has been extremely stressful, costly and disappointing.

Bad experience

Bad experience. They came to days late to get my stuff. My stuff (sofa) suffered several damages. There was an insurance of 15.000€, but they didn't want to pay for the damages.
The worst experience i’ve ever had.

A conseiller à votre pire ennemi !

Bonjour,
J'ai contacté cette société au mois de mars 2020 pour un déménagement Suisse Portugal.
J'ai payé de suite une réservation pour confirmer et pouvoir m'organiser.
Malgré de multiples relances je n'ai pu avoir une date d'enlèvement que 48 heures avant !
Ils sont venu pour enlever les affaires le vendredi à 17 heures et on terminé à plus de 22 heures !
Ils ont même oublié un fauteuil ...
La livraison confirmée par Email devait se faire le 1 ou 2 juillet, mais ils sont finalement venu le 4 juillet (ce qui nous a obligé à trouver et payer un logement du 2 au 4 inclus) !
Quand ils sont arrivés avec nos affaires, ils les avaient changé de camion, et ont cassé pas mal de choses (vaisselle, lit, armoire, écran de PC et 1 IPad).
Je les ai donc contacté pour qu'ils fassent le nécessaire avec leur assurance (on avait pris le contrat avec une assurance de 15 000€).
Cela fait plus de 2 semaines et malgré plusieurs relances, ils ne répondent pas !
Je peur ai aussi demandé ma facture et ils ne répondent pas !
Les personnes qui ont porté et chargé les affaires étaient très sympa et faisaient attention (je n'ai rien à dire sur eux).
Par contre l'administration, l'organisation et le sérieux de cette société est un véritable scandale et croyez moi je pèse mes mots.
Ces gens m'ont fait vivre un cauchemar !
Pour ceux qui veulent des preuves j'ai toute la communication et photos de ce que vous vivrez si vous les choisissez pour un déménagement.
Je vais aller déposer une plainte pour escroquerie (refus d'utiliser l'assurance que j'ai payée t de me donner une facture).
Conclusion: 0* pour la société 4* pour les jeunes qui ont fait le travail (porté et rangé le camion le jour du départ)

Hello,
I contacted this company in March 2020 for a move from Switzerland to Portugal.
I immediately paid a reservation to confirm and be able to organize myself.
Despite multiple reminders, I was only able to have a pickup date 48 hours before!
They came to pick up the stuff on Friday at 5pm and we finished after 10pm!
They even forgot an armchair ...
The delivery confirmed by Email was supposed to be July 1 or 2, but they finally came on July 4 (which required us to find and pay for accommodation from 2 to 4 inclusive)!
When they arrived with our things, they had changed trucks, and broke a lot of things (dishes, bed, cupboard, PC screen and 1 iPad).
So I contacted them so that they could do what was necessary with their insurance (we had taken out the contract with an insurance of € 15,000).
It's been over 2 weeks and despite several reminders, they are not responding!
I'm afraid also asked for my bill and they don't respond!
The people who carried and loaded the belongings were very friendly and careful (I have nothing to say about them).
On the other hand the administration, the organization and the seriousness of this company is a real scandal and believe me I weigh my words.
These people gave me a nightmare!
For those who want proof I have all the communication and photos of what you will experience if you choose them for a move.
I will go and file a fraud complaint (refusal to use the insurance I paid for t give me an invoice).
Conclusion: 0 * for the company 4 * for the young people who did the work (carried and put away the truck on the day of departure)
