Their call center is terrible. First of all, they don’t speak English well enough, and calling them is useless. My bank is having an issue getting my credit score report from them, and there’s really... See more

Transunion began in 1968 as tank car…
Transunion began in 1968 as tank car company. Recently I noticed that this company is quick to report debts but slow to payoffs. Transunion noticed a new debt and gave that information to credit karma but never reported I paid off a loan at the same time. It's a shame that companies of all kinds rely on data from this company and the other two that make up the big three.
This review is about Lilly a TransUnion…
This review is about Lilly a TransUnion agent right around 9:09 a.m. this morning. She was very hard to overstand her pronunciation may have been west indies or something like that I am not discriminating but she was asking security question she really tried to piss me off and get under my skin she refused to get her supervisor on the line and kept talking over me which was super f rude I have to restart my intentions for today she must have been some type of energy.vampire seeking to destroy my peace I hope she gets a discipline before her day is done! She did not resolve my issue and used system generated s questions verses the questions that was created for my account.
Which I found to be strange she claimed her ability to send me code via my phone number was unable to go thru at this time don’t believe her annoying as itch kept talking over me what a f mess I hope her boss sees this and I think she is a dumb itch!!!!!
Disgusting service by transunion
Disgusting service by transunion, they are keep mixing my information with someone else, and their customer service just keep hanging up the call o me, when i was talking . They are so stupid and uneducated people with ZERO knowledge. There should be another company used for credit reports in canada, transunion is worst
TransUnion, Manipulative
How to sue TransUnion, their agents are aggressive, impolite and they hang up on you. They manipulate credit score, threaten consumers.
Everything sucks about TransUnion
Everything sucks about TransUnion. A two year old knows way more bot
Avoid at all cost!
Avoid at all cost!
Absolute scam using the free trial method to get your credit card number and then making it tiringly difficult to cancel. I am currently on hold, on my 7th call, over 4 days trying to cancel.
Their scam techniques include "our system is down", transferring my phone call 4 times to lengthy hold times, then told me I have to get a new user ID, and call a different number to cancel. Again on hold with a new user ID the agents spoke harshly with accents, almost combative with my frustration which felt very typical of a scam operation. Update, I'm now on my 6th call, as the last person said I have to call consumer relations to cancel....6th call resulted in the agent advising me I've reached the wrong department (the number he gave me) no agents due to "higher than normal" call volume, so I'm currently waiting for a call back....recieved a call back and he told me this is the wrong department, and that I would have to call a different department...I hung up the phone as you can see where this is going
I suggest avoiding TransUnion due to highly unethical practices.
Never to be trusted
Never to be trusted . When I found out that there are other private credit techie like rocketskycredit on X was the only time I my mind calmed down. I actually got all my hard inquiries removed permanently and this greatly improved my credit rating. All these happened within 6 weeks of signing up. My point is Transunion made me suffer identity theft issues which they couldn't resolve until I had to seek help elsewhere. Glad I made the better decision.
Absolute worst customer service I have…
Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I clicked a link from the Canadian government website to provide me with a free credit report. It asked for credit card information, but I assumed it was part of the credit report question. Turns out I signed up for monthly monitoring and they charged me $25. It took over an hour of explaining the situation to multiple customer service reps, and then being put back into the original queue to only explain it again to finally get someone to say yes, we will refund you. However, I do not trust that that will actually happen. I was also told that since I didn’t click the link to verify my email address that the membership would not start. I then received an email from Trans Union saying that the membership was confirmed, but I never confirmed it. I wanted to put everything in writing and send it in via email so that I did not have to go through another representative yet again and explain the situation and waste another hour. I was told by customer service they do not have email. The only way to get any service is to speak to someone who then tries to pass you off to someone else, but puts you into the queue once again. It is an endless loop and a lesson in frustration and a test of your sanity. They likely do this so that they wear people down and charge them. Use Equifax instead. Their customer service seems to be a little bit more with it.
They are used by "MyTrueIdentity" data…
They are used by "MyTrueIdentity" data is way off, only using 1 source for total credit available when there are 5.
Oldest credit is 15 years - minimum should be 50.
TransUnion is 100% Fraud Company
TransUnion is 100% Fraud Company. Do not buy their service because they will never allow you to cancel. No Option to cancel service online and then if you call to cancel the service - They try to sell again and upon pushing them transfer to another call saying need to do full verification.
I can believe in Canada we see such a Fraud Company. Be very careful with them
Did you know your credit score of 720…
Did you know your credit score of 720 might be 649 tomorrow and you won't get approved for that mortgage?
Headline: Transunion Admits Your Credit Score Is A Moving Target
I'm a recent interaction, a TransUnion representative admitted that your credit score is ephemeral and inconsistent. According to them, changes occur daily, and a higher score on Monday "does not invalidate the score" you had on Friday.
Why this is appalling:
The Double Standard of Truth:
They claim two different scores can both be "correct" at the same time! If a bank or lender sees a lower score, Transaction says "that's accurate" even if their own system shows a higher score 5 minutes after.
Lack of Accountability:
By saying a higher score doesn't invalidate a lower score they're washing their hands of the real world consequences of higher interest rates and credit denials caused by their "time specific" data lags.
The Moving Goalpost:
We are told to manage our finances based on these numbers, yet TransUnion treats them as "transient snapshots" they won't stand behind if the score changes. 599 to 641 is a huge fluctuation that seems unreasonable by any measure.

I just discovered these dirt bags have been charging me a subscription. Its the same as theft.
Very fraudulent and incompetent
Very fraudulent and incompetent. When you signup, be very careful and observe every hidden button or info. They fraudulently place you on a pricy subscription without consent and charge your account. I called to cancel and get refund, they wasted my precious time passing me across to about 6 different people/departments, each of them asking the same annoying questions over and over. This company should be fined for such a scam. It's very disappointing to see one of the main companies handling credit reports in Canada with such a terrible system.
All call for customer service are…
All call for customer service are routed to India.
I sent docs for online verification six times and still no verification this bill was paid in full in 2024.
A recently created account was blocked
A recently created account was blocked, apparently due to a missing middle name that is never used in practice. Customer support was contacted by phone, but the agent was unable to resolve the issue and redirected to another authentication website.
After more than an hour of trying to complete the required steps, the process did not result in account access being restored, but only in an order confirmation. Subsequent login attempts continued to loop back to the same starting point with no resolution.
The overall experience was extremely frustrating, with a process that is unclear, inefficient, and poorly designed. As a web developer, user experience is a key concern, and this stands out as one of the most unprofessional digital experiences encountered on any platform.
Under these conditions, the platform is not considered usable or worth continuing to engage with.
While on hold you have to enter a “1”…
While on hold you have to enter a “1” every 30 seconds to stay in the queue. When they answer there’s 20 seconds of silence so don’t hang up. Customer service had very strong accent that was hard to understand and was locked into his list of questions. Couldn’t answer any of mine. Finally told me to send photocopies of my passport and driver’s license to them through snail mail!
It is impossible to speak to somebody…
It is impossible to speak to somebody who speaks English as a first language. They are very rude and talk over you.
Repeatedly answer the same questions and then put on hold.
This is a scam company from Asia.
Be very cautious.
Stay away from them or you will be data breached.
Horrible company
They must be hiring through affirmative action
My credit points were down by 18 points making me look bad. Nothing had changed. In fact I was paying down my accounts and in a timely manner. Their AI chat thing did not answer my question of WHY. I dont know what they dropped my points for especially so drastically. They are BS for monitoring and reporting. They make their own rules
TransUnion ignored concerns and only acted after regulatory involvement
TransUnion ignored paper mail disputes, then changed online dispute dates, they were in deemed refusal for a PIPEDA access request and only responded with a vague report and made minor corrections after regulatory involvement. The governing regulatory body saw any communication and any minor correction as an improvement and a partial win. Equifax is more responsive and reciprocal. It's well documented and known that Canadians can have great difficulties correcting wrong information eveb when TransUnion is in clear violation of consumer and privacy laws. Often TransUnion only acts when their hand is forced, and often governing regulatory agencies act as mediators politely asking for compliance without enforcing Canadian law. TransUnion like Equifax will try to upsell their products when you are contacting them regarding concerns and even if you purchase those credit monitoring and protection products your concerns will not be properly reviewed. My experience is ongoing from April 2025 and expected escalation through 2027 until regulatory and legal processes are finalized.
The fact that this outsourcing structure may be technically legal does not explain why a company entrusted with highly sensitive personal and financial information is allowed to continue operating with such ineffective, scripted, and difficult-to-access consumer support, especially where unresolved errors can cause real harm.
