They underdeliver, lie, deduct illegal costs and then do not respond!
We rented 4 bikes at Sevilla location, for 10 day period, and got a extremely poor treatment.
You only realise most of these points after you’ve left the dark parking garage where they store the bikes.
1. They lost the copies of our official ID papers.
2. Did not deliver the promised bikes.
1. Only one automatic instead of two and no GS 1300 Adventure model. Not available in this location they said.
2. Upon returning the bikes … there was Adventure model there, they had double booked.
3. Bikes were in poor maintenance.
1. Two bikes with leaking front springs, which is extremely dangerous! (Less grip and longer brake distance)
2. One with malfunctioning key and one with maintenance alarm on dashboard.
3. Support was completely lacking from TravelBike and we visited a BMW dealer ourself to fix the problems.
4. False claims were made about damages.
1. We recorded and photographed all the bikes at delivery and at return.
2. We were charged with “damages” supported with small, low resolution pictures of other bikes in our return reports.
5. Illegal amounts deducted from our creditcards.
1. Not only were our deposit amounts not returned completely for the fake damages, they charged € 160 extra on our creditcards without permission for removing one ugly and poorly attached sticker, which was blocking view of the road
6. All the positive reviews by ‘local guides’ are fake!
1. If your read through the reviews, after every negative one, they place several fake positive ones.
We gave TravelBike a long period of time (months!) to come to a solution with us.
Several times we tried contacting them (e-mail and phone) and requested a reasonable solution.
They completely ignored our questions, completely ignored all the evidence and left us hanging and became unreachable by phone and e-mail.
Take our advice… DO NOT RENT HERE !
