We have just returned from a fabulous holiday to Italy - 3 days in Rome, 2 days in Florence and 2 days in Venice.
Having never been to Italy before, we knew straight away we could put our trust in Donna to make our trip incredible. Without even telling Donna what we would like to do, she immediately put together an itinerary which included all the top sightseeing attractions for each of our locations which suited us perfectly. The hotels were ideally situated with a few minutes walk from the train stations and the tram was right outside our Florence hotel which was great. Donna also arranged a couple of surprises for us at our hotels to make our stay even more special. We would thoroughly recommend Donna as she offered an exceptional, personal service, with support and reassurance throughout our holiday.
We had a packed schedule, but so pleased we saw so many wonderful places.

Alex Maxwell-Clarke was fabulous all the way through the recommendations to the booking and the aftercare too.
Initially I contacted Alex as I wanted a trip to Italy as a lone traveller for the first time in approx 45 years. Alex recommended a trip to Sicily on a Solo-ish organised tour and then a few days relaxation at the end. The tour was fantastic and I saw so many sights of Sicily, and experienced so much with a mixed age group from all over the world. Alex checked the booking, sent all the paperwork, contacted me prior to leaving, again once after I’d arrived in Sicily, during the holiday and stayed up late into the night to watch that my delayed flight got back safely. I cannot express any greater praise than say she definately went the extra mile for me.
I’ll do a separate review on the trip which was by YourG travellers and was also so good.
The extra nights at the end of the holiday were fabulous, arranged by Alex and almost on the beach at Mondello. Fabulous holiday, great organisation by Alex.

The hotel was great, we stayed in a Duplex Suite with sea view which was very spacious with two bathrooms and a large terrace with loungers. Lots of pools which we didn’t use preferring the beach. The beach is stony so beach shoes are needed. There was an adult only pool where the sun loungers were taken very early and it wasn’t very big. The rooftop pool and ground floor had plenty of sun beds. Buffet was good with lots of variety and the speciality restaurants particularly the Greek one were excellent. We were all inclusive and the quality and selection of drinks was also very good. Close to Rhodes Town and airport. I was a bit anxious as some of the Tripadvisor reviews weren’t great, however exceeded all expectations. As always Laura Hood excelled 😊

Helena is a fantastic travel consultant. She is extremely helpful and approachable. I can message her anytime and she responds immediately. She takes all the worry and stress away from booking a holiday. Nothing is too much trouble x

We've used Travel Counsellors (TC) for many years and Julia always takes the effort out of the process. The TC service was especially valuable this trip. We got caught up in the NATS issue whilst we were in Greece and our flight was cancelled. Having someone in the UK "on our case" was both really helpful and reassuring. Meant we didn't have to keep chasing our tour operator for updates as TC were doing this already. Whilst the tour operator also have UK based assistance they are working for themselves. TC works for you as their client! In the past this has been really useful when we wanted to book hire cars when we were on holiday etc. One call to TC and they sort it all out for you, so you don't waste holiday time on administration, the car simply turns up when you need it.

Gill Murray always goes above and beyond when helping with booking of holidays. She is extremely knowledgeable and always goes above and beyond. Even when Gill was on holiday and we had problems with return flight due to air traffic controllers, she was checking we were ok. She is an amazing person

I have used Andy at Travel Counsellors now for a number of years. Without exception the service provided is second to none. From enquiry to booking, from departure to return, Andy keeps contact, provides up to date advice and even a welcome card in the hotel room. Well done !

Every thing went like clockwork could not have been any better. Lauren was very helpful and answered all our questions. Obviously very knowledgable. Can’t say anymore really except that we will definatly use her again and also recommend her to our friends and family.

Our most recent holiday to Lake Garda was perfect. Cara found exactly the break we were looking for. Cara made sure everything was in place with the paperwork and emailed everything we needed. She took the stress and worry out of booking everything yourselves. Flights, transfers and hotel were all on time both ways and we will definitely book through Cara for our next trip! We thoroughly enjoyed our trip, start to finish and a big part of that was due to knowing everything was planned and booked securely. Sarah made the whole process so quick and stress free, which as someone who struggles to look and book holidays, this was a whole layer of stress completely taken care of. We got exactly what we were looking for, including our location being mindful of the places we wished to visit whilst there! Everything was done so promptly, even with the request being so close to the desired dates of the trip. I also really appreciated the level of communication throughout this process, right up to us heading for the trip, including the opportunity to reach out if we ran into any issues whilst there. 10/10 service, can’t thank Sarah enough and have already recommended her service on to friends and family! Claire Holmes always goes above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met. Claire customs the places the hotel etc to your likes and dislikes. Claire got it spot on both times. Our recent trip to Amsterdam was fantastic . Location and hotel was perfect.
