We booked with Travelodeal, but HVEZDA did not deliver.

We booked with Travelodeal for 2 week Egypt Holiday Feb/ March 2026.
7 days in Hurghada, 7 days on Nile cruise, on Nile Jewel, upper deck.

Unfortunately their Egypt agents HVEZDA, are incompetent, dishonest and determined to deliver something much less than we booked.

Hotel Swiss Inn was fantastic, really enjoyed it no problems………..

Except that HVEZDA had not payed for our room. So every day we were locked out until at least 4pm when someone would arrive and pay cash. Just for the one night !

So , same thing the next day… extremely annoying to be told to check out at 12 noon when
You have a continuous booking for several days.

Then the Nile cruise.
Taken by full bus to Luxor. Scruffy quay on outskirts of town.

In front of us was an old (1980’s) Nile cruise ship called King Tut 111.
Nobody on the bus had booked this. We told the Hvezda Rep that this was the wrong ship.

He ignored us and.gave no explanation or even an excuse. So here we are on the gangplank of the wrong ship having had no warning about any change of plan…. Just gat in the ship and that’s it, no choice now.

The Nile Jewel that we booked has:
Wi-Fi
TV in each cabin that actually works.
A card reader for buying drinks
Italian management and cuisine.

The King Tut 111 that we were forced to go on, does NOT have:
Wi-Fi
Working TVs
Card reader
Italian cuisine

So we were not happy.
Then the Rep allocated the cabins to the group seemingly at random. He took no notice of the fact that people had paid extra for upgrades (in our case £200 each for an upper deck cabin.)
Some people had paid for a balcony, which does not exist on King Tit 111.

So, although Travelodeal can blame HVEZDA for all the problems, ultimately they are responsible.
Under British Law, the Travel Agent (Travelodeal) is responsible to deliver the holiday package that was paid for.

Also note that Travelodeal ave been having similar problems with Hvezda for at least THREE YEARS, according to many reviews online.

Travelodeal have refunded the £200 each for upper deck we didn’t get.
Also £100 compensation for the hotel problems.

They now say in June, four months later, that they have stopped using HVEZDA.
Wr have yet to see any evidence of this.
