i would give 0 stars if u could. its a pay to win game, so i paid for it. the problem is that i got scammed twice. never receive the gold or money back. the support is just rude and make things up to save themselves. 3 days to respond on a payment question is also not acceptable. will never use this again, and highly recommend to never spend money on this company.

I would give 0 stars if I could

I would give 0 stars if I could. The game is absurdly pay to win. You don't win by having a strategy. If your wallet is fat enough, you just buy the victory. that is the strategy. And the worse part is, the more money someone dumps in this game, the more the game turns a blind eye when they use scripts, bots and other unfair ways to play. Just stay away from this game if you value your time and your money. If you have money to spend, go get yourself the Civilization game. Never playing again

So poor customer support

So poor customer support. They have some kind of software checking accounts, but it full of errors, and there a is a manual judgement on accounts bases om gut feeling. Just really bad.

Worst customer service ever

Banned me twice for no reason (issued tickets for this, not helpful at all) and when I asked for a refund they didn't reply. Banning happens randomly!

The new ban system is based on accept the punishment because we won't solve the dispute within the 72 hours. After 72 hours, the ban is automatocally accepted. Thus pay us more to catch back up with no way to arbitrate disputes.

They don't care about loyal customers. In a couple of years they have no solid fanbase.

It was exiting game 10-15 years ago, now it is worth to play.

It was exiting game 10-15 years ago and I really liked it. I tried again this year during the confinement. Today, there are around 50 "multi accounts" (there are accounts with more than 10 players on it), who spend huge amount of money on this game and you do not have any chance. They obviously use some scripts (e.g. somebody from X alliance attack you) and in few minutes you are on farm lists on all of these players from Y Z alliances. Also, they send attacks every 2-3 minutes 24/7 and it is clear that they use scripts. Admins, of course, do not care because these geeks give them a money but if you do anything against rules, punishment is immediately here. I can understand politics of authors of this game, they are just care about earning the money, but I cannot understand these geeks, do they really enjoy in this? Anyway, worth to play.

Used to be fabulous game before the developers tried to hit the mainstream market and make it unlevel unless you bought gold. Changed the dynamics too much and they lost their original fans

On trying again several years later it's bezerk !!!! Completely dominated by Russian accounts that defy all odds and make the game so tilted it's pointless to try to win and wow is the gameplay slow

In conclusion this was superb back in the day and try it you may like , however read the reviews and be warned

Find something better to do with your life...

The game has some interesting teamwork and tactical aspects to its gameplay but it is the definition of a pay-to-win game. If you want to have any serious account, be prepared to spend $100 per month or more of gameplay...and the sky is the limit for top players. I spent maybe $100 at the start of a new server and was behind some 1000 other accounts...on a server where there are only maybe 2000 real-ish accounts.

In addition, god help you if you accidentally stumble across a way to break the rules of the game. Another player sent my account a bunch of resources. I didn't really even care...I was like...oh cool...more resources.

The judges of the game determined that my small account received an unfair advantage. I was banned and asked to pay a penalty of 33% of my in-game progress.

When I made contact with customer support the complete lack of customer support or care for the value of their customers' money was blatant. Basically, accept the punishment and pay us more to catch back up with no way to arbitrate disputes. Fool me once...

Anyway, find something better to do with your life...like almost anything.

Old Time Travian Player Not Returning

I have played this game for many years, but it has deteriorated to the point where it is no longer fun. I have quit the game and will not be returning. The "tech" system is unfairly applied, bans and penalties are given arbitrarily to cause you to buy more gold, they have no respect whatsoever for their customers. With so much competition for your entertainment dollar, don't waste it here.

Travian Kingdoms

Story:

Nearly non-existent. No backstory for why you are selected to free your initial village, no story at all through the early and mid-game, a bit of story once World Wonders appear.

Gameplay:

Relatively decent, but they have gone so far from their addictive origins in their efforts to imitate more successful games that it has devolved into something else entirely by now, incapable of satisfying veterans, yet still retaining few new players. I agree with the popular opinion of it being boring now through 90% of the game: a bit of fun at the start, some more at the end, if you manage to stick around that long.

Oh! Almost forgot: it's as pay-to-win as it gets. Forget cosmetics and loot boxes. You can enable 2 different 25% resource production boosts, instantaneous building (when some may take over 24hrs for a "non-golder"), farm lists, trade routes, 20% more storage, additional queues for buildings, research and celebrations, and a myriad of other massively unfair advantages through their gambling system (such as instantaneous free resources). That's about 10% of what you can get if you feed their greed.

Support:

The reason I quit the game and initiated my crusade to bury it. Was banned within 2, at most 3 hours after engaging a big offensive kingdom in mind games (over chat), according to a rule that does not exist (offering defensive troops for in-game resources), waiting 24hrs+ for each Support reply (including the initial 24hrs to find out _why_, which they don't bother to provide proactively), with a resolution as convenient as possible for the other kingdom (deletion of all my troops), all while they were at no point capable of sourcing such a rule. As many others have noted, it was of course done without any evidence.

Favoritism not obvious yet? That other kingdom also happened to be very proficient in getting players to delete (many within their own borders and from their own ranks) and getting other kingdoms to join kingdom blocs, both of which the devs allegedly dislike.

Item variety:

Oh, they got plenty of that, since it's one of the main reasons for players to fork out their hard-earned cash. Yet they are still mostly small variations with 3 tiers, with about half of them just affecting troop movements in some way (how creative... /sarcasm).

Graphics:

Pleasant art style, but in the end it's mostly just static 2D images with nothing outstanding and a few animations. Not even a single visual transition anywhere, a concept we've had for nearly a century now. That's just one example.

Community:

Virtually non-existent. Good luck with finding a sitter/dual on the forum or actually engaging in diplomacy (whether on the forum or in-game). Unlike the past Alliance forums that kept information organized if you put effort into it, all you get now are Kingdom messages which will constantly move around your message list and seem to invite players to spam more irrelevant comments (the old forums felt more "official", I guess?).

I used to play this game for years

I used to play this game for years. First years were great. People actually played in a fair way and everyone had a chance. After a few years, there were people abusing the in game rules. Multi accounts is not allowed, so they make accounts on other IP's and then they start using VPN's or become sitter of those accounts. After building up those unproven multi accounts. They just start pushing resources and helping out their main account. This gives an unfair advantage to other players. It's a little bit pay2win, but having multi accounts gets you way more than what money can buy. I spend a lot of money on this game and it's the last time I'll ever do so.

Do not play this game, because you'll never have a chance against the many "cheaters" in this game. Even if you spend thousands of euros.

Banned, Punished and no explaination

I got banned for having a building bot on day three - even though i was using vanilla Google Chrome with no scripts. Instantly permanently banned, on review, they punished my account (retracted the ban). Once i queried why i was being punished, i received 3 different reasons from 3 different customer service agents..... its almost like a person made a decision to ban me with no evidence. Someone else came along and said thats not right, so punished my account. Then someone else came along and did nothing but justify the two previous incorrect choices. I do not understand the system here

Alreaady dead as for me

In my opinion - game is dead now. Not time to play browser games. Online down from 40.000 to 2 000 per server.
There is no big difference between new version> you just use more gold and new races are really unbalanced.
Dont play this and other free to play games because - free to play = pay to win. I prefer game without donate> just buy them and play.
Also i dont like :
- using bots and account push on server
- a lot of multi accoutns
- bad performance of Multuhunter work, they really can ban without really reason as mistake and cant deal with top 1 robbery - farm-bot
-russian server have 10%> and more of multi accounts dont go there guys make 10 accounts to farm them in 200 | 200.
-gold using + you can got it from multi accs

Good concept but problematic customer service and pay2win.

The game itself is pretty decent and requires a lot of free time and teamwork to make it to the endgame.

There are a few big downfalls though, because even more important than time and teamwork is your wallet to buy more resources, attributes for your hero, build faster and manage your villages + troops, it's your ticket to top 100...
Then there's the customer service, or rather lack thereof... I the past several years of playing this game on and off, I have never heard back from any support questions. The last one was were I couldn't log into the forum using the same email as my account uses. haven't heard back from them so far.

I have played it on and off for years without paying for gold and it's playable without paying for it, it's pretty fun to play, but don't expect to much of it.

Pure greed

Pure greed

Greed has overcome game play and customer service. The Multihunters range from biased to simply unqualified and corporate could care less as long as you buy gold. To be competitive requires 3-400 dollars worth of gold per server.

A very,very bad experience...horrible abuses

The game is dying and being used as a cash cow by the owners.
Also customer support is abysmal and the employers play the game and abuse players as they like.

Don't bother ,there are better games that are less toxic and much more fun!
