In the past I`ve had immense problems with utility suppliers customer service (mainly incompetent or non existent) and have ended up having to involve the energy ombudsman. On of the reasons to go with Troocost was that they offered a service to act as intermediary to sort problems out. Already experiencing problems with one company not accepting our readings ( I think because of incorrect info sent over from Scottish Power with whom I am still in dispute with after 16 months of incorrect billing ) and Aaron from Troocost seems to be able to get through to the parts I cannot reach and is helping sort the problem out. Oh yes, and they also get rates better than I could achieve with going direct or using other brokers. So far its a win/win situation- good rates and no hassle. Long may it continue.

At last we now have our farm supply out of "half hourly" and on a sensible supply and metering arrangement. Its take over 6 months of hassle with British Gas and meter suppliers but Gavin and Aaron at Troocost/CLA Energy have seen the whole process through with patience and "customer care" and produced a massive saving.
It would have been an even bigger headache without them.
They know what they are doing!

I was contacted by Sam Fazackerley who wanted to see if they were able to get us a better deal on our energy prices. I did say that we had recently signed up to a new deal with our current provider but gave Sam the opportunity to get us a better deal if he could. He contacted me the following day and said that we were being looked after already, and that there was nothing further they could do to help us at this point in time but when the contract was up for renewal he would get back in touch to see if he could help then. It was refreshing to deal with someone who wasn't pushy, who was a very funny and likeable person who made the whole experience an enjoyable one.

Our company has previously been burned by brokers but from initial conversations had with Emily O'Hare, I could tell this broker was different and dare I say it seemed more trustworthy. Just before Christmas I decided to give them a try on a site that I knew would cause me some problems getting a decent deal.
Emily and Andrew (Pricing specialist standing in for Cassandra Price) gave excellent pricing on a electric half hourly meter at a hotel we own and were not pushy in accepting the price there and then, they allowed me to number crunch and the whole process was quite relaxed. The saving achieved was more than I expected given the market.
Fast forward to the new year and we decided to review our major usage sites. Emily and Cassie were excellent in their customer service especially when having to deal with our e-mail system suddenly not receiving e-mails. They came up with a creative way of getting documents over so I could review the prices on offer and be assured that these were from the utility companies. In the end I didn't progress things as my directors said no to the pricing and a subsequent revisit as they want to go in a different direction. One thing that struck me was how friendly they were and apart from making me aware when prices would change, there wasn't any pressure on to make a decision there and then. When I spoke to Cassie about it being a no, unlike other brokers that can't take no as an answer we parted amicably which is how it should be. This is a credit to the ethos of the company and also how Emily & Cassie conduct themselves. If the directors do change their mind in the future, Troo will be the first people I contact and hopefully speak to Emily and Cassie again!

Dealing with this company is an absolute nightmare and i would strongly advise anyone to avoid them at all costs. they contacted me claiming they could find a better electricity deal for my shop but their tactics were deceptive and irresponsible from the start.i was upfront with them,explaining that i was already in a contract with another provider through bionic.despite this they convince to sign a letter of authority under the guise of providing a quote.what they failed to do was properly check my existing contractual obligations or even warn me about potential conflict with my auto-renewed contract. when ENGIE tried to take over my electric supply, it was blocked by bionic because of the auto-renewal. Insted of notifying me or resolving the issue they quietly waited and turned around and demanded £1055.29+VAT. To make matter worse,they handed the matter over to a collection agency pilling on even more stress. This company is unprofessional,unethical and completely lacks transparency.Their broker either don't know what they're doing or doing deliberately mislead customers.I feel scammed and betrayed by their shady practices, and i will never work with them again.Avoid this company at all costs if you value your time,money and peace of mind
