Fantastic. 10/10 !

I saw this on Dragons Den years ago and thought at the time it was a great idea- stupid Dragons! I'm a single mum in her 50s who was previously very wary about sawing logs. They jumped all over the place, it gave me backache and I never felt safe with the saw. Two weeks ago I got my Truncator delivered. I built it myself, and used it for the first time today. What seemed an incredibly daunting task sawing a huge number of logs just melted away. Load, saw, dispense in to the wheelbarrow. So simple. So safe. Absolutely brilliant! I now have enough logs for the winter. Thank you Truncator guys, I really hope you can keep your business going. I can't praise this product enough.

If you need to cut a reasonable amount of firewood, just buy one!

An hour or so yesterday and about the same today and a huge pile of logs cut - in excess of a cubic metre. The uncut stock was far from straight or uniform in diameter but my four section Truncator, used for the first time, was excellent.

It's not cheap, but what is these days?

What it is, simply, is convenient, robust, and above all else, relatively safe. Nothing is totally safe with a chain saw, but this improves the safety by an order of magnitude.

I watched the Dragons Den clip and smiled at the "just buy some logs at the garage". Yes, for the occasional user but, for somebody who wants a decent supply of firewood of uniform cut, forget the garage and get a Truncator instead.

I bought the version which clamps to a Workmate so cannot comment upon the trestle version.

Multi 4Fold Chainsaw Sawhorse

Super fast delivery, all items well packaged. The Truncator was easy to assemble. In use its absolutely brilliant, easy to load, with logs nicely secured with cord and makes cutting with chainsaw easy and safe. Extremely good on your back due to good working height and safe as no more bending over, no loose logs and no limbs, legs or feet close to cutting chain. An absolutely brilliant invention. Bin the old saw horse and get yourself a Truncator.

Extremely pleased.

As a non-professional chainsaw user the Truncator is essential. It makes the job of chopping up logs so much less daunting.

I bought mine via Amazon and it arrived only a few days after the order.

Overall extremely pleased.

18 months of Truncator use

I bought a truncator about 18 months ago at Westmorland Show. It is a fantastic product! I have been sawing logs for 35 years but this is revolutionary. It saves time, petrol and my back! And is much safer than other saw horses or holding branches across a block with my boot as I used to do. Don’t hesitate - buy one!! A great British product.

Truncator magic

I saw the truncator on Dragon's den and immediately thought what a good idea it is for the likes of me - middle aged professional (a surgeon actually) who occasionally uses a chainsaw in my garden. Cutting small logs was always fraught with serious danger because they would jump and move or you would put it on the ground and the chain saw blade would cut into the ground. The truncator has changed all that. Suddenly using my chainsaw is a joy rather than a near death experience. I specifically set the cups at 10 inches for my wood burning stove. It now takes minutes to cut logs to the right size.
It confirms that the Dragons are not entrepreneurs at all but just cows following a herd. If I had the money I would have invested - don't understand why B&Q don't stock it myself!

Usefull product delivered quickly

Filled a couple of cubic metres of logs quickly and easily. It was a lot easier on the back with less bending and filling and a lot easier on fuel. Biggest time savings are with smaller diameter branches. I bought the six cups and made my own saw horse set up for 10" long logs.

A great time saving, practical and safe tool

I have been very impressed with my Truncator, having used it several times since purchasing last year. It took all manner of different shaped branches with ease, securely held by the cups and elasticated strap. It made cutting using the chain saw a doddle and filling the wheelbarrow took no time. Overall it took far less time and was a lot safer to use than other sawing horses I've used in the past. My Truncator has even been brought out from the shed to chop kindling on with the wheelbarrow underneath to catch everything it's proved to be an ideal working height for this task. Bravo to the Truncator!

Excellent piece of kit

The truncator is a a very useful piece of equipment. It arrived promptly after being ordered. It was straightforward to put together. It works very well and without doubt makes cutting logs so much easier. Sensible design to allow for storage when not in use. Although I have not needed to replace any of the parts yet it does look like cups and even board would be easy to replace which I suspect will be necessary at some stage due to over enthusiastic use of chain saw!

Fantastic

Quite simply the promotion video doesn't do the product the justice it deserves. Once set up this is just so easy to process the large amounts of logs required.
Great speedy delivery from Truncator.

Lived up to our expectations.

Stumbled across on a web search. Bought for my husband for his birthday and he loves it. Only comment would be that the stand could be a bit more stable on rough ground.

Truncator cups, best ideas always the simplest.

The cups accept straight lengths the best so improves your cutting from the tree as you look for good lengths.

Thank you phil for your feedback. You can get bent stuff in there too! Just use the securing cup to hold the most bent part of the limb. This way you can cut any shaped wood.

Excellent piece of kit, a must have for logging your wood.

A little sceptical when it arrived, but once we used it, it instantly changed our minds. An excellent piece of equipment for cutting long pieces of wood into logs and easy to tip the logs straight into a wheel barrow. You just load up, cut into logs and tip into the barrow, then repeat. The legs fold up and feet swivel around and it is easily stored on the rafters in our barn.

Truncator Saw Bench

Simple but brilliant idea. It saves time when sawing wood and the wood can then be tipped into a barrow so saves having to pick it all up from the floor. I bought the large Truncator and wouldn't be without it now. Very happy with my purchase and the company were very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Would recommend.
