Beautiful orangery
THI were commissioned for our orangery.
It was a reasonably big and complicated project and therefore quite costly.
At the point of sale, we were advised the project would take 6-8 weeks to build, commencing mid July 2025, however, the build was delayed by them until September 2025, and in the end, took until the beginning of December to complete, due to a few issues, getting the internal labour to line up, ie, getting the plaster, electrician and plumber lined up to complete works to schedule.
However with it now complete that is in the past ! Without the delays would have been five stars.
All of the workmen that came were superb - most specifically the builders, Kenny and his labourer, fitters, plasters and plumber. Anthony in the office is approachable and made our experience more positive than it may otherwise have been, but his hands seemed to be tied, Adam, was an absolute gem, sorting the schedules and reassuring us.
We are very pleased with the end product, the work carried out is high end and second to none, despite a few delays along the way, the result is a beautiful, light-filled orangery that perfectly complements our home, ideal for entertaining, relaxing, and taking in the view.

New windows
We were that impressed with the previous works to build our orangery, we had THI back to replace 3 windows in the front of the house. From ordering to fitting it was fast and efficient. Micheal came to quote intially and gave us a great price we couldnt refuse.
The fitters Kev and his son Lewis are credit to the company, Kevs initial advice when choosing the windows was invaluble, thankyou Kev. Kev and Lewis were clean and tidy and the widows were done in no time. We are please with the quality of the windows and the improvement to house, not just the asthetic improvement outside but the insulation of the windows make to the house!

Beautiful extension/orangery
We initially went through Alpine with Ian and his son Oliver. These guys are fantastic especially with the VR experience showing what the reality can look like. THI done the build to a very high standard. There were a few hiccups during build but all these were resolved and rectified. The price was the price no silly add ons. All in all it’s made a huge difference in our dark home to now a fantastic family hangout, kitchen and an extra bedroom. The light now is unbelievable must be seen to be believed. Unfortunate delays but a professional team.
Having been messed about by builders we turned to THI for our orangery. It was a reasonably big project and therefore quite costly and unfortunately there were hiccups along the way. This meant that instead of taking 6-8 weeks to build (which we were told at point of sale) the build took a number of months.
However with it now complete that is in the past ! Without the delays would have been five stars for sure.
Most of the workmen that came were superb - most specifically the fitters, plasters and plumber. Anthony in the office was a godsend and has made our experience a much more positive one that it might otherwise have been.
We are very pleased with the end product !

2nd Project with THI
Comprehensive team at THI covers every aspect of the project from initial design and planning through to the finishing touches.
Any problems are immediately actioned upon, Everyone is helpful and pleasant. Jo, Craig and Anthony in the office. Special mention for Stuart for his idea to reshape the front hallway to make the garage conversion possible! Also Damon the site manager is very good, he gets things done! I wouldn't hesitate to use THI again for any other work in the future.

Garage conversion
We signed the contract for the work at end of Nov 2024, expecting the work to commence in March 25. We were informed work would start at end of April, then on 6th of May and workmen finally turned up on Tues 13th of May for the morning. We assumed because half days seemed to be the pattern that the team must have been on another job. We were later informed that as far as the Tyneside office was concerned, there should have been full days of work taking place. At most there were 2and a half days of inclement weather. The building was finally completed on the 8th of July. We had a few matters that needed further attention after that time. Although we are happy with the finished product, a three star rating would have been given if it hadn’t been for Anthony in the office’s help and cooperation throughout.

10/10 for Tyneside Home Improvements
More than happy with the work which was carried out out father and son team Kev and Lewis. They worked tidy and put in the hours in to complete the job.
Previously we had leading design which we wanted to keep. We were told by other companies it was bespoke and would cost a lot more. Tyneside Home Improvements were able to closely match the design at a reasonable cost.
We love the product quality. The job and product has certainly exceeded our expectations

Positive experience from start to finish
From start to finish everybody was polite and helpful. Lee the salesman was well presented, helpful and the quote that was given was the final price. All the staff involved in the build were fantastic, Jason, his son and the plasterer worked full days and left my home clean every day. The remedial work with dealt with swiftly thanks to Joanne and Anthony. The experience has left me feeling like I have dealt with a reputable firm. The only feedback I would give, is let the customer know as early as possible for any delays in the build times. An unusable space has been turned into one of my favourite rooms in the house. I have recommended THI to neighbours.

Dave and Ann
Kevin and his son Lewis were really good. They were considerate and respectful. The standard of work was exemplary. We live in an old house and the doors were not standard sizes nevertheless the company found correct doors which fitted our initial design choice.
We would absolutely recommend this company and if necessary we would use them again.
