This was my second time ordering after the first order went well. This time the sleepers took forwever to arrive with no communication of when they would arrive other than an email the day before stating the delivery will be made the following day. This time i had some damaged sleepers, some already warped and one with large chunks missing. I have phoned, email numberous times and tried live chat to no avail. No one is there to contact with an issue and now i am left with damaged sleepers that will not look nice in my garden. I am not happy at all with this service and will not use them again in the future

I recently ordered from Uksleepers and, overall, I was satisfied. Delivery took some time, but as expected in these challenging times, planning ahead made it manageable. The prices were fair, and the quality was mostly good, although a few items fell a bit short. Customer service was helpful, making the experience positive. Four stars!

This is a different trading name of UK timber. I bought via UK sleepers but in the tone feeling with them have always dealt with UK timber. This is my review of them as a whole:
Without a doubt the worst timber company I've ever dealt with.
3.5k order not completed after 6 weeks, major delays. No communication.
Hard to get any info.
Tells lies.
Delivers products no where near specification.
This company cannot cope with large orders.
I'm just short of £1000 down on sunk costs and have wasted 2 weeks labour, and several weeks waiting on their incompetence. Avoid the plague.

Delivered within a week, great customer service. Answered my call straight away and were very helpful. Order processed same day, delivery scheduled within 3 days, delivery made within a week.

High quality sleepers with speedy delivery, the customer service is great too!

I recently installed 16mm solid oak flooring in my home and I am thrilled with the results. The quality of the wood is exceptional and has a beautiful natural look. The installation process was easy and hassle-free, resulting in a stunning finished product with no imperfections. Overall, I highly recommend this flooring for its high quality and stylish appearance.

Great quality sleepers, staff were helpful throughout the order process and delivery was within the lead time advised.

Ordered 2 Douglas Wind Braces, the Mitres weren't 45 degrees and every cut had a 1mm+ step in it.

Emailed them to say I wasn't happy with the quality but didn't get a response.
Phoned them, the person on the phone said they had spoken to the guys in the work shop and that 1mm out wasn't much and that was as accurate as they can make them - there was nothing they could do.

I made good of what I was sent and used them, a week later I had a response to my email, stating that the quality wasn't acceptable and to arrange for a return for a refund.

Certainly not impressed by that!

This company should be ashamed of itself. I had some delivered the other day in good time I gave to say and the sleepers are nice. However, the delivery man left them for my poor husband to deal with, on another road, claiming that he could not reverse up our road.....however in the week we had a skip delivered???? Also one of the sleepers was bolsted still too another sleeper making it even heavier ...hence to say my hubby has now put his back because he is far to nice to refuse delivery. Thanks for your great empathy and help 👍...that was sarcasm by the way.

Was prepared to spend a fair bit on some reclaimed sleepers but wanted some advice about delivery. I can’t stand companies that allow you to contact them by email but then don’t reply. Having now seen the recent reviews I’m glad I didn’t order from them.

DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY OR THEIR OTHER COMPANIES, UK TIMBER & UK OAK!
Ordered £3,500 worth of timber. Heard nothing for a month. When I chased it they arranged for only half of my order to be delivered and having paid contractors to be available to collect it, the delivery was a no show. In fact it was never going to arrive that day and they didn't even have the courtesy to tell me until I chased it. I have heard all sorts of excuses but the fact is they cannot cope with the orders they have. Stupidly, I only cancelled half my order at that point. Here we are another two weeks later and they say they can now deliver my remaining order, but only if I accept smaller sizes than I ordered! I have now cancelled the order completely, having wasted 6 weeks of my life with this useless firm. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Ordered sleepers over 3 weeks ago, they have our money but we've not even got a delivery date. Virtually impossible to get hold of them to chase it up. Appalling customer service - wish we had read the other reviews first. If they can't deliver in a reasonable time frame then they shouldn't accept the order. The website says they aim to deliver within 10 working days or 15 if you live in Scotland, Wales or Cornwall (which we don't!) - clearly that is a misrepresentation based on reviews here.

I’ve ordered from this company before a few years back. The oak sleepers were beautiful, in great condition and impressive.

This time round has been a disaster!!! Delivery had to be chased... I was prepared to looked past because of the quality. However, driver delivers leaving the sleepers at the bottom of the drive, on the road. Which I could understand if it was a small driveway but it can easily fit 2 cars and a lorry (I know it his because the oil driver, Jewsons and gravel master have all managed it). This meant humping the sleepers up the drive.

Now to reclaimed sleepers.... they look like they’ve done 10 rounds with Tyson then thrown back in the ring to do it all again. Covered in grease/oil, metal, dirt, dust and pretty much look like hell. Clothing of two people ruined. I mean a little bit of metal here and there, some dirt I get but these are awful. So disappointed from start to finish. The quality is no where near what it should be for grade A reclaimed oak sleepers

Impossible to get hold of, although I have eventually managed it once, only to be told that they cannot give me a delivery date as they are very busy! I'be been waiting for over £1,000 worth of materials since 14th March! Guess what, I'm quite a busy person too. Very difficult to comment on their customer service as they don't seem to have any.
Further update, nearly 2 months in and after being told twice to expect my delivery I'm now told that they can't get the sleepers at the moment and have no idea when they will be getting them!! Would I like to have sleepers that are half the length of what I've ordered!! I'll be getting my money back and forget the 2 months of interest lost.

Do not order from this company, they take your money and leave you hanging. They don't respond to email's or calls. It may well be that the goods do eventually turn up and are of good quality but can't comment as a month has passed and still have nothing!. One reviewer says given them a chance blah blah blah. I would give them a chance to come clean on the website. Times are/have been difficult I understand that but if that's the case and staff / resources are limited then at least set a level of reasonable expectation on the website instead of continuing to give the impression it will be within 10 working days or maybe just a bit later not a bloody month later! You have been warned.

UPDATE 18/05/21
Product turned up 29 days after ordering after I advised them beyond 30 days I would put it in the hands of my credit card company under section 75. Called me up one day before this and said can we deliver it this afternoon. Arrived that day, product is excellent but when they called no apology, no explanation, nothing. My review therefore still stands unless your not bothered when things turn up in which case go ahead.

Worst service and support, after sitting with my payment of nearly 1000 pounds for 2 weeks and they still cannot confirm the date of delivery. Considering that they charged me 160 pounds it was total waste of time. Cancelled my order and not going back again.

Very poor customer service. Ordered sleepers in March, not heard anything. Tried ringing and emailing - no response. Would appreciate a response ASAP.

UPDATE sleepers have eventually turned up and very good quality. Shame about the poor communication, a phone call or email to update people would have been helpful rather than us spending lots of time constantly trying to get in touch for an update.

The take your money but don't deliver when they say they would. No communication. They don't answer emails, and the number just goes dead if you ring as about deliveries or 'wait to be transferred to an operator'.

Their website on 09/04/2021 says "this whole process should take no more than ten working days and is generally much shorter."

After reading these reviews I did wonder if I should give this company a wide berth but I was pleasantly surprised! I was building my own design oak pergola so wanted specific sizes and sleepers uk let you do anything you want at really good prices. Delivery will take 2 to 3 weeks but plan ahead and it will be fine. Ignore the bad reviews during spring 2020, it was 'covid chaos' and all suppliers were having problems. Im a professional building contractor and it was difficult time for everyone!
