We rented an RV from Ultimate Tailgating & RV Rentals for a 21-day family trip in the U.S., and despite being an experienced RV renter, this was an unsafe and poorly handled rental from day one. At delivery the windshield was cracked from top to bottom, and the entry step already malfunctioned; during the trip it repeatedly swung out while driving (even on the interstate), creating dangerous situations—technicians later confirmed pre-existing damage. The dinette slide-out failed during the walkthrough and was later diagnosed as a touchscreen/wiring defect. The over-cab bunk bed jammed before we drove a mile; we were promised repairs, received the wrong part, and a scheduled technician never showed up, so the bunk was unusable for the entire rental. The toilet also didn’t flush due to incorrect wiring, and the RV was delivered filthy with glass shards on the floor. These defects seriously disrupted our vacation and forced extra costs. After return we submitted a fully documented claim; communication was slow, offers were far too low, and even after agreeing compensation in writing, payment still hasn’t been made after months of chasing. Bottom line: major pre-existing defects, broken repair promises, and extremely poor follow-through—future renters should avoid this company.
