Review for United Carpets Lincoln

I would like to share my extremely disappointing experience with United Carpets Lincoln. The scheduled carpet fitting, which was supposed to take place today, did not happen. To begin with, the team arrived significantly late with no apology or explanation for the delay. After several attempts to contact their office, they finally arrived after 12 pm.

The manager, who also identified himself as the owner's son (in an unnecessarily arrogant manner), arrived with a clearly negative attitude. Upon arrival, he immediately stated that they couldn’t proceed with the job because there were people in the office and computers on the desk. Despite informing them that we would quickly move these items ourselves, which would have taken only a couple of minutes, the manager was adamant that the job could not be done. His response was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. His demeanor was so concerning that I honestly wondered if he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. He even stepped outside to make a phone call, only to disappear altogether, leaving us with no explanation or resolution.

To make matters worse, I later spoke with someone from their Lincoln office named Ryan, who gave me an entirely different account of the situation — one that was completely opposite to what actually happened. The lack of professionalism, respect, and courtesy shown by the manager, as well as the false account provided by their office, was truly appalling.

The most frustrating part is that the carpet had already been fully paid for, yet we received nothing but excuses, disrespect, and empty promises. Threatening a customer with "I am the manager" and "I am the owner's son" was not only uncalled for but utterly inappropriate.

I requested a refund, and I received an email asking for my full card number and security code. This is completely unacceptable. If the security code is provided, they would be able to use the card, which raises serious concerns about security and trust.

I am deeply disappointed by this experience and will not be recommending United Carpets Lincoln to anyone in the future.

I wanted the new flooring/laminate fitting under replacement skirting,so not requiring further facia.The gentleman came from store to measure up, I asked who do I get to remove present skirting , he suggested a chap who he had known for years, lived near him and was available.His name was Shaun. Shaun removed the present skirting taking 2hrs and charged £150!!Returned 2days later replaced skirting,which I purchased, in half of the rooms,taking 5hrs,charging another £150!!The standard of his work was appalling!!! I have since organised a joiner who is going to complete the job and correct the very untidy faulty work.I am left £300 out of pocket and very disappointed with my experience dealing with United Flooring.Regards Tessa Ross.

All seemed OK till I got a call saying they could not supply the carpet I chose but had upgraded at no extra cost ..when it arrived I was not sure it a better quality also the fitters took a very quick rushed time to fit it and the lino in the hall app 10min to 20 min tops leaving air bubbles in the hallway still not sorted 3 weeks later and 1 week after complaint not heard owt ... oh also shop staff bit grumpy

Very helpful and supportive staff and they did manage to fit us in before Christmas which was fantastic. However I do have a fault in one of our carpets which I was promised would be replaced later that week which was before Christmas yet I am still waiting.

Great job, happy with the result.

Really good and we now want to have the same carpet in three other rooms - please call so we can give measurements and obtain a quote!

Looking for a new bedroom carpet I entered the store not really sure of what would be best to suit my needs. I was quickly approached by Ryan who offered me his friendly expert advice and after talking me through my options I settled on a carpet I think will be perfect for the room. He was great, pricing is always extremely reasonable and I’ll be calling store in the new year to arrange fitting. A happy customer!

Absolutely brilliant job- quick, no mess, tidied up after themselves, and looks amazing - really professional. Lovly helpful and polite fitters. I would give them 6 stars if I could!

Get people who can do the job instead of lying, making excuses and blaming the buyer. Organise loading and delivery better. Absolutely rubbish would never use them again. Already contacted customer services and told them and I got no reply

Went in with rough idea what I wanted. Due to size of one of rooms it was suggested I do it another way and was given ideas. Inside the shop the gentleman that help was polite made us laugh really pleasant trip into the store and the carpet fitters were lovely respectful and polite

Great value and fitted quick for free . Fitter was polite and quick and patient while we moved items for him
