If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. I placed an order on May 8th, 2026 and the tracking information stated the order was never collected from Universal Colours. After 7 email exchanges and constantly following up, customer service claimed the package was lost on June 17th.

When customer service is this poor they shouldn't charge the cost of a premium product. Issues happen with any business and service is what matters. If you can't afford to have good customer service you should lower your prices.

Beyond everything I wrote a review on Universal Colours and the review was moderated and not posted. Even though I love their gear I will not be purchasing anything from them moving forward and they will miss a few thousand euro annually.

Unnecessary friction for a straightforward return

Made multiple orders, returned most of them. Customer service questioned every return on the account, calling the number "unusual" — which was unexpected for what should be a routine process.
The context: Universal Colours is a UK company. Post-Brexit, every order to Europe attracts customs duties. Splitting orders is the only practical workaround. Sizing also varies between items and seasons, so ordering multiple sizes is often necessary. Both of these are predictable consequences of how the brand operates.
The agent eventually accepted the explanation and moved on, but the exchange added unnecessary friction to an already cumbersome post-purchase experience.

Avoid - customer service is rubbish

Placed an order for a pair gloves and bib shorts having been recommended them by an affiliate on Insta. He also gave me a discount code to use. Placed an order, it was cancelled by UC without any contact, Placed a second order (had to use my work email as apparently first discount code was used), it too was cancelled without any contact. Tried their parent company, Sigma Sports. Ordered seemed to go through this time only for the delivery to go to entirely wrong country. Managed to get a refund but wa still charged duties even though I never received order. All the while I had to make all the contacts with their support who kept telling me they’d get back to me and order would be reshipped. Never was nor would I ever use them again. Rubbish customer service.

Unisex Insulated Packable Jacket

Bought their Unisex Insulated Packable Jacket half a year ago, and worn it less than 50 times casually. I really like the look and feel. But the zip is super flimsy, which is why I treated it gently from the start. The zip has now broken and can no longer be closed. I think it's a design fault. Contacted support, who suggest that i get it repaired, and that they might contribute to the repair cost. Sigh.
