This bank is seriously interested in new accounts. Bank personnel are very accomodating, friendly. Products seem highly competitive. They are willing to try to find ways to work with you; they do not seem stifled by senseless rules. I would have given them a 5, except branch people's English skills were limited.
I applied for a credit card online and received a call from a sales representative. I informed him that my current work permit is due for renewal on 4 June, and he told me to contact them again once the renewal is completed.
I found the experience unhelpful because he had promised to email me the list of required documents and asked me to get back to him once my work permit was ready, but he never sent the email.
Overall, it was not a good customer experience.
Frankly speaking, I am no fan of UOB as a card issuer. Citi had a far superior product.
But when it comes to banking activities, UOB actually works. The face scan actually works, which is a lot more than I can say about ttb. Credit where it's due.
Dear UOB Thailand,
Why can’t I use my UOB credit card with Google Wallet? Why does UOB not provide its own mobile payment system in the application?
It is inconvenient to carry a physical credit card all the time. If it gets lost or stolen, customers risk losing a lot of money. In Thailand, at least four banks (TTB, KTC, KBank, and BBL) already offer this service.
Please hurry up – as far as I know, UOB already provides this service in Singapore.
