Visited the shop today and was helped by Sarah to find myself new trainers. Got some great advice and a good range of different brands to look at, so ended up buying two pairs ! Helped to get on the running machine to get the right support too. Thanks Sarah. Stuart

Visited Nottingham branch earlier today. Staff were very attentive and genuinely interested in helping customers. Rob was phenomenal and went over all options patiently.

Lucy at the Nottingham store was extremely helpful in guiding me when I bought a new pair of trainers. She understood that I needed supportive footwear and helped me get the right pair/size. It was really good to do the gait analysis and see how my feet were landing. Thank you 😊!

First time I've been to Up and Running. Just trying to get back into it. I'm of an age now we're it's more of a jog. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Chris looked after me offering advice on different shoes to suit my needs. I'd definitely recommend them brilliant service. Thank you

I called in to a very busy shop today on Deansgate, Manchester. The service and advice given by Carla was fantastic. She patiently showed me & had me try at least six pairs of running shoes . The pair I chose where, to my delight, reduced in price as well as being best suited to my needs. Thank you Carla, I will be back & will also recommend.

Fantastic service from Sarah at the Chester store. Free gait analysis and Sarah walked (or ran) me through a number of different shoe options to suit. No upsell, just genuinely helpful advice. Ended up running 1/2 a k trying on shoes so dress appropriately!

I love this shop! Always friendly & can’t do enough to help you. Bought 2 pairs of trainers last week whilst there with friends - lots of choice till you find the perfect fit. Also bought some new sunglasses - again good selection to choose from. My partner popped in too whilst we were there - having tripped on a paving slab & hurt his toe. The first aid kit came straight out making sure he was ok before we left. Big thank you to Kim (?) and Steve. You were both so helpful and attentive - and we enjoyed the chat & laughs too. Went in not knowing what to expect, but Mark spent over an hour explaining with me, performed a gait analysis which helped narrow down options, and made several recommendations of shoes. Could not be happier with the service and advice which was offered, really excellent.

Very good company, Jamie helped me select the correct type of running trainers.

They let you go on the treadmill to see how you run, independent shop which is better than going to the big commercial places such as sport direct.

Excellent service will come back again for running trainers.

I went here as a brand new runner looking for advice on footwear choices and had a excellent experience. I had my gait analysed and was provided with multiple options of trainers to try on and test out on the treadmill. Staff member Chris was really helpful and answered any questions I had and provided me with the best information to make an informed decision. Highly recommend to anyone looking for advice and helpful tips on where to get started!

I telephoned Up & Running on Fri 24/07/26 & spoke to a delightful lady by the name of Elena (BARNET10), who was so helpful & understanding regarding my quest to purchase a pair of Walking Trainers.

Ultimately, I took a drive to the store & tried on 3 pairs of Walking Trainers. Elena even recorded me with all 3 trainers walking on a treadmill to determine the best fit, that suits my walking style etc. Absolutely EXCELLENT 👏👏👏 Customer Service. E Langley

I went to the Nottingham store to get a gait analysis done and SallyAnn was amazing and so helpful. She showed me how my right foot was collapsing with my normal trainers and advised I needed trainers with more structure on the inside. We tried multiple different pairs and compared how I ran in each of them and found the perfect pair, the difference in support was incredible, I could see my right foot was no longer collapsing. I never once felt rushed and SallyAnn was super thorough and so kind! I’ll definitely be going back in future when I need more running stuff.

Sally-Anne was fantastic. Really knowledgeable and gave me lots of choice with no pressure to buy. Ended up buying the most expensive pair of running shoes as she was so nice and I love the shop! Highly recommended.
