Borderline scam, non existing customer service

Borderline scam, no customer service. This company charged me $300 odd dollars after the trial period ended. They never once checked in with me during the trial or sent a reminder before it ended. I tried to get a refund to which they never replied.

Rigid policies, overcharging, and poor customer experience

Our experience with Motion has been extremely disappointing. We canceled our subscription just one day after a new billing cycle began, yet they still charged us for the entire month with no flexibility or refund option.

On top of that, during the three months we were customers, we only had two seats active but were continuously billed for three seats. Support never resolved this, and the company has since even removed the option for monthly billing cycles forcing customers into longer commitments.

Their refund explanation pointed to a trial period policy, which had nothing to do with our case. Instead of prioritizing fairness and customer relationships, Motion appears focused solely on maximizing profits at the expense of their customers experience.

With rigid billing, overcharging, and an unwillingness to handle reasonable requests, I cannot recommend Motion to anyone. I certainly would not trust them as a long-term partner.

We understand your concerns about billing and account management. Motion subscriptions were previously billed per bucket seats, and any adjustments or cancellations apply from the next billing cycle onward, as stated during signup. If seats remained active, charges would continue for those users until they were removed.

As for monthly billing, this option wasn't removed, it's just unavailable on AI Workplace and Ai Employees Light tiers. All our other plans have both monthly and annual billing. , Also, users can still manage or cancel subscriptions anytime under Settings → Billing → Manage plan.

We also send a courtesy reminder 3 days before the trial period ends, and all subscription details, including renewal terms, are clearly visible in the billing section.

Worth it for peace of mind

I use Motion every single day, and honestly, it’s transformed the way I organise my life. I love that I can set different schedules for different parts of my day – like work, home, or personal time – and it smartly prioritises my tasks so I always know what to focus on next. One of the best features is how it automatically reschedules anything I don’t get done if something unexpected pops up – it takes the pressure off and keeps me on track.

I’ll admit, it is a bit on the pricey side, and I’ve even cancelled my subscription in the past to try cheaper or free alternatives… but nothing has come close to the level of clarity and structure Motion gives me. It’s worth every penny for the peace of mind it brings!

Great customer support, refunded everything

I have not used Motion very much, so this review is really about their Customer Service. I did a 7 day trial of Motion but forgot to cancel the subscription in time. However after being in contact with their customer support they refunded the whole amount immediately. Also all the conversation I had with Motion was very respectful and kind. So kudos to Motion for being generous. Seems like a nice company.

Horrible scamming app/software, i was just on trial and suddenly charging my bank account $2,000. I havent even started or even log in or set my account, the audacity of even repeatedly attempting to charge my bank card, luckily for me, i used my credit card with limited credit.😅 DO NOT EVEN TRY this.. you will end up being a victim of a fraudulent company

No support and little training

Brilliant Scheduling, Broken Support — A Power Tool Without the Power Cord

Motion is one of the most promising tools I’ve encountered for modern task management. Its dynamic scheduling capabilities are genuinely best-in-class—a rare blend of calendar logic and AI prioritization that reshapes how work gets done. The project and task management system is intuitive, flexible, and smart, and their concept of AI employees—digital assistants that manage recurring functions—is an innovative step toward the future of productivity software.

But while Motion's core technology deserves real praise, the experience of using it is another story entirely.

Where It All Falls Apart: Support, Documentation, and Setup

There is virtually no customer support. The only available help route is email, and even that routinely takes more than 24 hours to receive a reply—assuming you get one at all. There’s no live chat, no onboarding call, no responsive human presence.

Worse still, there is no meaningful knowledge base about AI employees. If you want to deploy these tools effectively, good luck. You’ll find vague blog posts and concept videos that barely scratch the surface of functionality. In reality, if you want to know how to actually configure these AI assistants or set up a robust Motion environment, you're on your own.

I had to pay $200 for a third-party training course just to understand the basic setup options and get a working sense of what Motion can do. Let me be clear: that knowledge should have come from Motion itself. As it stands, their training videos are fine for high-level overviews, but they’re impotent when it comes to real implementation.

A Power Tool Without a Power Cord

Motion has set itself up to be the next indispensable tool in the productivity stack. But as it stands, the value just isn’t there yet. Not because the product is weak—because the support system is non-existent. If the company doesn’t radically shift toward proper user enablement, it risks becoming the next Salesforce or QuickBooks: a bloated, complicated, under-supported mess that only highly technical users can navigate.

Final Word: Proceed With Caution

If you’re a solo operator who enjoys reverse-engineering software, or if you’re willing to pay extra for training from someone other than Motion, you may still get immense value from the platform.

But if you're looking for a fully supported productivity solution out of the box—particularly one where AI employees play a critical role—Motion is not ready for you. Not yet.

The potential is sky-high. But so is the learning curve. And unfortunately, you’ll be climbing it alone. For us it has been a $1000 waste of time and money.

I’ve been using Motion for a few months…

I’ve been using Motion for a few months now, and it’s completely transformed the way I manage my time and tasks. The automatic scheduling is incredibly smart — it adapts to my workload and priorities without me having to constantly reorganize my day. I also love how it integrates with my calendar and keeps me focused with reminders and time blocks.

Only works if you use Gmail 🤬

All marketing suggests it can work for anyone however only after purchase when creating agents almost all (90%) require to be linked to Gmail. What about other mail clients? Or advising/warning potential customers before purchasing that Gmail is required. I cant pass comment on the actual product as this is not possible as im not a gmail user like many other businesses.

No warning for trying to charge me $700+

Trying to charge $700+ for annual after a few days trial with no warning is crazy. Luckily my bank blocked the payment - even they knew it was crazy. The platform isn't even useful anyway - just makes up irrelevant tasks and is hard to navigate. More noise than help.

App is not user friendly. Not great for life/project management

The app is not smooth enough to make this a productive device for project management. If only using the desktop, it's okay, but for regular life, we need to use our phone to track new tasks. It seems like adding a new task is difficult on the app, and so I'm not able to capture everything in a short amount of time.
