Good experience with Utilitywise
We've used this energy broker for a number of years and always found them good to deal with. Would particularly mention Andrew Spoors in their Customer Care department.

GREAT service
We needed to sort out our Electricity bills and Utility Wise were able to sort us out a new electricty contract as well as help us with any queries when the new contract started. Andrew Spoors in the customer service department has been so helpful, he explains things in a great manner, easy to understand with clear and concise information, he is quick to respond to emails. He also advised that we could do the same for Water bills, and again, I've been so impressed with the service given as well as the quote provided. Looking forward to having both our Electricity and Water providers through Utilitywise knowing we've got the support and customer service we need.
Thanks for all your help, especially Andrew Spoors and Katie Bache

Completely let us down
Completely let us down
This Company are supposed to take away the time and effort in managing utilities but have ended up costing us a huge amount of time and money!
They failed to place a contract when instructed, which has left us paying high out of contract rates with British Gas for nearly 6 months. To make it even worse they have refused to give us their complaints handling policy and just ignore our communication.
Absolutely awful I would not recommend any business use this company. We get calls so often from similar companies who compare and manage energy, so there is plenty more choice out there and we will definitely go elsewhere now.

I can totally recommend this company. The consultant I spoke to, Ben Reed, was very friendly and explained the whole process perfectly.
Thank you Ben!

This company has continuously let me…
This company has continuously let me down. They swarmed all over me to get a business account and then when the deal went pear shaped they "disappeared" off the face of the earth. Completely unacceptable behaviour. They don't answer phones, don't return messages and ignore emails. I have resorted to complaining by letter. I notice that every complaint on here is responded to by a request to phone customer services. Best of luck. No calls answered last week and the last time my call was answered ,my account manger was "busy" and the promise to call back was needless to say fruitless. Urgent email ignored.
How do these people get away with it?

Highly Recommend this company
I would highly recommend using this company to deal with your energy renewals.
The consultant I dealt with - Mr Ben Reed, was extremely helpful and got us a very good price compared to other quotes we received. He also had no issue in helping with any questions or queries we had and keeping us up to date with the process.
I would definitely use them again.

Fantastic support
Fantastic support, Dealt with Craig Devaney and as we had an issue with our existing supplier he was not only able to offer us a much better deal but was really helpful and had the time to explain and go through everything before we accepted the offer. Best of all saving us money! Thanks

A complete waste of time
A complete waste of time. Despite all the usual promises about how our Account would be handled it was quite frankly the most appalling unprofessional company it has been my misfortune to deal with. DO NOT trust them with your utility requirements!

So helpful
They negotiated a great price for us with a new company and checked prior to moving that all was ok, I have had massive problems with previous supplier and Rebecca from the Newcastle center has gone way over and above to help us in every way. She is an asset to Utilitywise, I cannot praise her enough

Pack of lies stay away they will mess you around!
We agreed on a deal which as accepted and I was given date of transfer, After 3 weeks they wanted to change prices this is all after contract was signed and verbal recorded agreement was don’t over the phone. This now has resulted on out of contract traffic which cost us so much more!

Service
the worse customer service ever! they really are sweet when they want the contract. But once the contract has been signed, they are rude, passing you from one contact to another. And refuse to give manager's details. Also threaten to close the query even though you are not satisfied.

We’ve used them for a while just…utillitywise
We’ve used them for a while just because it’s easier than doing it yourself but I’m not at all convinced there’s much purpose to any of the brokers. We pay roughly £200-£400 per month in bills and last year we got landed with a £2,500 bill by supplier as they hadn’t read meter, though told us they were, they neglected to tell us they hadn’t read it as they’d stopped sending meter readers out!
Utilitywise seem to be good at selling but not so good at getting a good price - they’ve an online meter reading hub now but it’s quite user unfriendly to submit a reading - cumbersome to login some weird address bar thing instead of a link from their site - but it does give info on use in the form of charts.
Trying to sort out whether we used nearly £4,000 in energy in a year seems difficult for Utilitywise to help us understand, as they’re brokers I feel they should be able to support customers on bill issues as they purport to getting the “best deal” so I assume they can calculate usage - £4,000 pa is about £300 in electric per month - I’m not sure we use that much in the summer months and it appears neither is Utilitywise sure...
I haven’t gone direct but I am doing more regular readings.
The staff are nice but as I say they plead no responsibility about helping with bills and put us back with the same supplier, Npower, who sent us the massive bill.
I’d say read reviews, check directly with suppliers, keep good reading records and know your annual or monthly consumption and what you pay so that you know what is and what isn’t a good deal.
From what I can work out the broker services are really only useful for saving time ringing around but they may not necessarily get best deal and currently I think they’re unregulated.
Utility wise seem ok and trustworthy just as I say they a bit ineffectual when it came to this bill issue though they sound like they’re trying to help.

Stay well away.
Every year went through the rigmarole of getting quotes to renew my energy and always got good prices. This year as I was so busy working away I decided to use utilitywise to renew my energy based on the promise of saving me money. Biggest mistake I ever made!!! They had my current supplier prices and knew what I was paying. Unfortunately as in a hurry for work I agreed their new prices with a new supplier on the phone without double checking the figures and got roped into a 3 year deal. They had switched my supplier - more than doubled my night rate, doubled my electric bill as a whole and the gas bill well that's just unbelievable. My previous gas supplier I used to pay between 200 and 500 a month depending on the time of year. Now I have just got a bill from the new supplier of over a 1000 for 16 days, Half a month!!!!
It may be hassle to ring around yourself but do it. My business cannot sustain the new rates and with much sadness I am probably going to have to shut it
