Avoid This Auto Trans Company at All Cost
My experience, with UZ Auto Trans Inc (US DOT #: 1954980) auto moving company was very upsetting. I did not find it to be safe, fast nor reliable. This is a company that was assigned to my move via Safe Ship Moving Services (US DOT #: 3475743) which is a broker company that is also terrible.
I was moving two vehicles from the center of the country to the east coast. Both vehicles have always been well maintained and very clean inside and out. I had no input in regards to the auto moving company that Safe Ship Moving Service would assign to me. I was under the impression that Safe Ship Moving Services was the company that would transport my vehicles. It was several days before my move that I realized that it would be a UZ Auto Trans Inc. However, I thought that they would be thoroughly vetted by Safe Ship Moving Services Company. Sadly, I was wrong.
My experience consisted of the following:
1. After paying the requested deposit amount of nearly half of the total amount to Safe Ship Moving Services, I received another call approximately 3 days before the move to pay an additional deposit amount for gasoline which made my deposit more than half the total amount for the transport.
2. The Pickup Driver was rude and request that I meet him at a Walmart because he could not maneuver his auto moving trailer truck on the contracted street.
3. The Pickup Driver became ruder when I informed him that I have seen a number of professional moving trucks; as well as, other trailer trucks on my street. I became concerned about the driver’s qualifications and credentials.
4. Pickup Driver was rude and tried to rush me while I was documenting my vehicles with him during the pickup.
5. The staff members that I spoke with during the transport process were also very rude.
6. Both vehicles were delivered with a numerous scratches obtained during the transport. One vehicle did not have any scratches and the other had 4 scratches before the transport.
7. Both vehicles were delivered with dirt and black oily stains on the driver’s floormats. Both vehicles were spotless before the transport.
8. Both vehicles were delivered with the cigarette lighter used and out of place. Both vehicles cigarette lighters had never been used prior to the transport.
9. The battery in the classic vehicle was totally drained when delivered. The battery was working before the transport.
10. I notified the company about the damages and I was told it was “not a big deal” and “these things happen”.
11. I would have to file a claim with my insurance company because their basic insurance would not pay for the damages.
12. The company also will not take a credit card on delivery and will hold your vehicle(a) hostage until they get cash or cashier’s check payment.
I am writing this review to enlighten future moving customers that there are some untrustworthy companies like (UZ Auto Trans Inc (US DOT #: 1954980 and Safe Ship Moving Services (US DOT #: 3475743) that only appear worthy of your business. However, they use deceptive bait and switch practices that will take advantage of you by taking your money, damaging your property and leaving you with limited options and little to no communication.
