l use it regularly in washing machine but l got chillies beef stain on my favourite light blue top l put some vanish in a bowl hot water to dilute the granules l am disabled and cool down put top in
no worries as it says gentle on colour's,horror came out pink spots all over it needs a big warning don't soak colour's just to warn other not to loose their favourite clothes

Vanish does not remove soil from underwear 5 times 1 after another i washed some underwear and Vanish never even touched the soil stain

⚠️ Consumer Warning: Vanish Oxi Action Ruined My Clothing

I followed the Vanish Oxi Action instructions exactly as stated on the tub, and it completely ruined two of my Superdry jersey dresses (RRP £65 each). These weren’t cheap items, especially in the current cost‑of‑living climate.

After reading other reviews from people with similar experiences, I won’t be seeking compensation because it’s clear the company does not accept liability. They continue to market the product as “safe for clothes,” yet real‑world results show otherwise. If they acknowledged the damage it causes, they’d have to admit the product isn’t suitable and that would cost them millions.

So this post is simply to warn other consumers: be cautious and think twice before using Vanish Oxi Action. Even when used exactly as directed, it can permanently damage your clothing, and you’re unlikely to receive any support or accountability from the company.

Dear Vanish...what happened? I know you for long time. Did u start selling air?
In the box for 600 gr you have place for another 400. This is normal?

I used this vanish oxi action on 2 of my daughter’s t-shirts for minor stains and both t-shirts are now completely covered in pink spots which look like they have been spattered with bleach. I contacted customer services and they took no responsibility whatsoever. I wish I’d just stick to the dr beckenham one that I normally use which works perfectly well. Two £20 t-shirts are now completely ruined :((

My clothes is ruined. What the hell happened for vanish? My clothes full of yellow marks. Never use again.

It doesn’t actually work with anything. It only works when running water though it would work without it. Tried it so many times

I definitely would not give this a star at all,it ruined 2 expensive tops,I emailed them,and their response was they won't accept any liability for damage caused,im actually gutted as I sent pictures of one of the tops that was ruined,the other was binned which was my sons who paid 160 quid,totally ruined,I will go back to my cheaper version which took stains out no problem with no marks left ,they should be ashamed of their company, selling products that destroy people clothes,and then take no accountability for it,hope no one buys their products.

Their product has ruined my husbands best shirt now with pink flecks all over it. If this isn’t bad enough, scaling the defenses of the customer service department is like bashing your head against a brick wall and no one to speak to….
They refuse to take adequate responsibility for damage caused by the product other than a derisory ‘ gesture’ and not the replacement cost.

AVOID. Used vanish oxi action many times in the past with great results. Recently purchased the product from the Vanish Amazon store and it’s completely ruined my clothes. Bleach marks all over three brand new t shirts. I thought perhaps a one off faulty product or batch but after reading other reviews I think not.

How can a company advertise such a useless, expensive product that does not work. I have tried it many times and not once has it worked. All instructions followed as per their website and product description. Yet it has never worked. It's about time the company was reported for false advertisements.

Don’t waste your money on Vanish Oxi Action. The product is absolutely useless & it doesn’t fulfil any of the wild claims made in their TV advertising.
How the Advertising Standards Authority allows outright lies from the manufacturer of this hopeless product is beyond me.
The product is nothing more than a very expensive washing powder that simply doesn’t work.

Can’t give it 1 star , I have crohns Disease and I really need good stain remover ,,,, this product don’t even get my stains out even on a 90 wash 😡 you pay a lot for this product and it don’t get stains out,,, plus so dear in money ,,,, I buy now pink stuff whiter , wow it’s amazing , brings my under wear up like new and very cheap but does the job x

Be careful with this product. It says there’s no bleach but it bleached and left lots of marks on my clothes. Really sad because some of it was expensive stuff.

1 star is too many . Left bleach marks on clothes the granules don’t seem to dissolve however long you leave them. Contacted vanish customer service…… waste of time

I have been using Asda brand first time i bought vanis and I did exactly what it says on box and my most expensive clothes got ruined

Soaked my lovely grey top for 30 minutes as instructed for a black dye mark that was on it . Was shocked when went to rinse it & it was all covered in bleach spots .. totally ruined .I am going to message them now & if they fob me off I’m going to ask a newspaper to do an article on this product to warn others not to use it .

I knew I should have come here 1st vanish oxi action makes no difference whatsoever its just like putting money in the washing machine that don't help either

Hard work! Not that good at cleaning - left the carpet patchy. I won't use this again. Worked out the cost of the product; the area of carpets and rugs to be cleaned; the number of times they need cleaning in a year ( we're heavy traffic); the amount of effort needed to brush this stuff into the carpets - and the cost of meile bags ( we're not meile bagless yet) to get it all up; the exhaustion factor (I'm not young any more). Overview: I bit the bullet and bought a Bissell Pro Heat carpet washer. Takes a bit longer to dry if you use the "Deep Clean" option, but my goodness - It's an absolute DREAM! Forget the powder and the brushing. You know it makes sense.

Totally ruined a carpet not a year old even did everything says on directions but left a white patchy grey carpet .best part of £400 carpet ruined.would like something done it's a disgrace.never had this when used previously on carpets.
