Avoid this company.

Avoid this company.

We saw a van on their eBay page, we enquired on the best price they’d take. They then called and offered a deal away from eBay with £400 ip front payment. Communications where frequent and all questions answered, they even offered an AA years warranty for an extra £425.00. We arranged delivery and waited in on the arranged day. At 5:30pm we had a call to cancel the delivery but would rearrange. We chose not to try a redelivery and asked to cancel the order as alarm bells were ringing for us by this time. The next day they tried to charge us another £150 for their eBay relisting fee (which we refused) We asked for the £400 which we’d paid to be returned, and this was the last communication we had with them. They wouldn’t answer, calls, emails or texts. Thankfully our bank has recovered our money.
I would not recommend this company at all.

Do not buy from here, Can’t rate zero

Can’t rate zero, just another scam company that are willing to lie for a few pounds and have an un happy customer than say the truth.

I was sold a van by a guy called Ross, he asks me to pay upfront which I did and the van was described as ready to go to work and an honest van and the usual, spoke to him on the phone and he confirmed all this.

When the van arrived on a later date than agreed it had a massive crack in the windscreen, bold tyres, a key that hardly works, and other. I am seeking legal advice due to these issues that were on the ad, and won’t let them get away it regardless of how cheap it was but it’s the lies there is no need for, and I am still waiting for a receipt and they ignore my messages and calls.

Do not buy from vanstation, at all and go else where.

Van misrepresented as mechanically sound although £3000 worth of work required

Van described as mechanically sound, arrived needing £3000 gearbox change. Bought a
Vauxhall Vivaro which was described as mechanically sound ready for work, only to discover a whirring on 5th and 6th gear that mechanic told me would require new gearbox, clutch kit and flywheel at a cost of £3000+. I called Vanstation to discuss this to be told that it’s out of their hands once signed and delivered and that I should have test drove it and that the driver should have given me the opportunity to do so. The delivery driver didn’t do this and now I’m left with van that can’t be driven.

Understand the nature of the business.

Vanstation is a trade outlet selling unprepped vans aimed at the motor trade. There’s a lot of reviews on here from people expecting to buy a van that requires no further repair or work. From what I can tell from my visit the lads check the vans, take them for a short drive and give their best opinion to its condition. Instead of having a van delivered I went to the site myself and looked at the vans I had shortlisted. There’s around 400 vans packed into the yard so you can expect to spend a few hours there unless you know exactly which van you want. John was exceptionally patient and helpful despite being ridiculously busy (they sell around 500 vans a month). I bought a van for around £1500 below market value. Although the van is great it does need a few bits done as I expected it would. I think some of the poor reviews on here are unfair, understand what you are buying and who the customer base is meant to be. You can’t buy a van below market value and expect a warranty or a main dealer quality prepared van. Again, thanks to John, Louis ross and the other lads who were all very helpful. So far so good with the van, there’s a few bits to do on it and it’s in desperate need of a machine polish!

Disgusting service – dodgy traders, stay away

Worst experience I've ever had buying a van. Van Station sold me something they described as “clean” and “in good condition” — total lies. They had the nerve to deliver it at midnight. Who does that? Obviously so I couldn’t see the state it was really in.

Next morning, in proper light, I could see it was a mess — filthy, rough, and clearly not looked after. A few days later the engine completely failed. Mechanic confirmed it hadn’t even had the right amount of oil in it. Bare minimum checks weren’t done.

Tried contacting them and got the usual rubbish — “sold as seen,” “not our problem.” No help, no care, no responsibility. They got their money and washed their hands of it.

These people are the definition of cowboy traders. Completely dishonest, zero professionalism, and clearly don’t care what they’re dumping on customers.

Avoid Van Station like the plague. Shocking behaviour, shocking quality, and totally untrustworthy. Wish I’d never heard of them.

Absolutely horrendous company

Absolutely horrendous company, DO NOT USE! we bought a Mercedes vito van from them that was advertised as running and driving perfect with Absolutely no issues. They agreed to deliver the van but said they cannot release it to be delivered until the invoice is signed (which we now know is illegal) when the van turned up, it barely started, it crunched going into reverse, the power steering pump wasn't even together never mind working, bonnet release cable was snapped, front right tyre was flat.. unbelievably the list goes on. Van station then decided because the invoice was signed that it was a trade sale and they were not having the van back or giving us a refund. 4 months later of going through the small claims court, no one even turned up to represent vanstation to which the court gave us the full refund and gave them 14 days to collect the van. On the 14th day they turned up to collect and tried to take it without paying the refunded amount. Eventually, the refund was paid and the van was taken away.

After looking into the directors we learned that they are also the owners of we buy any van so it would appear they're just flogging vans they've bought for cheap and have absolutely no idea on the condition of.

DO NOT USE

Buyer Beware!

I've just bought a Transit Minibus, 2005, 75000 mls from Van Station. The Van was described as good for its age, excellent engine and Gearbox, good condition throughout, with plenty of life left in it, and ready to be put to work. I read the reviews on 'their'site which were generally good to excellent and decided from the photographs and the description given by their sales person, to risk buying the van unseen. This was my choice and I have no gripes about that. However after delivery which was a day and a half late, I found that the battery was dead and judging by the fact that the battery cover was laying loose in the back I assume that they had jump started it for delivery. Further more I quickly discovered that the side door is jammed closed and doesn't open. A minibus without a working side door is surely worth a mention in the description. Next on the list was the realization that 'none' of the locks work, again i would have thought this would warrant a mention in the advertisement description. I just hope to heaven that the rest of the van is better....I guess i'll find out!

BEWARE!!

I sold my van to WeBuyAnyVan, was expecting £800 and they gave me £200, as there were so many issues with it apparently when they plugged it into the fault code reader.

I was told that it needed a new gear box (3rd gear was not synchronised), they said it needed a new boost pipe (I had paid to have a new one about a month before), the turbo is on it's way out, it was pulling to the right according to the bloke who test drove it, glow plugs were faulty, heater system was faulty, there was another code but the bloke did not say what his machine identified.

This same van, FL62 VGZ, is now for sale at £2,295 on Van Station.

If Van Station have taken the word of WeBuyAnyVan then they have not done any due diligence and are at fault for that alone.

If what I was told was true, please be aware if you buy this van. Either this company or WeBuyAnyVan are not what they make out they are (cannot say who is at fault).

Very dodgy

Very dodgy ! Sold me a renault van , as a runner , it was supposed to be delivered next day , it took nearly 4 days , they said there was a problem with it and there mechanics were sorting it ! It arrived they must have filled the fuel filter up just so the transporter guy could drive it off quickly and he legged it quiet quickly ! Next morning it wouldn't start ! There mechanics are proper bodgers , it was only the fuel primer pump but why lie like that ! It was only a thousand pound van ffs ! So basically be very careful , do not pay upfront until you've checked the vehicle through as you will not get your money back
