Vaviars car insurance is the worst insurance i ever seen
Unfortunately I have to click on the one star but I wouldn’t give them that
My daughter took insurance for her first car insurance from them . Had no help from them .only to be told after she had a claim against her that she didn’t have commuting on her policy and that they wouldn’t pay out for it . She then had to add this to her policy. We have been speaking to them about this . She has since cancelled the policy after talking to a really nasty woman on the phone . And now they have added all these cancellation fees for her to pay even down to them saying it was in the policy document that we never got so they sent it to her after 8 mouths

Not good so far!
Had a non fault accident and put it on portal. Since then had barely any contact after emailing 3 times. Car still dented and not been kept updated.

It was very easy to follow online and got a reasonable quote
It was very easy to follow online and got reasonable quote
Easy process great product
The whole process from getting the quote to buying the policy was very straightforward and user friendly. The policy was very comprehensive with a lot of extras included that I would normally find to be an add on.
Great experience
Was very easy to arrange. My original insurance wouldn't add my newly passed son so had to go elsewhere. Price seemed very fair too
Don't buy car insurance from this company
Had car insurance with this company was involved in a non fault accident where my car was written off even though iv supplied dashcam footage they still expect me to pay remainder of policy but was advised when I 1st contacted them that I wouldn't have to pay it, absolute joke
Avoid this company & go with established well known insurance companies, i regret my decision to go with these big time
They also use accident exchange as their claims company who also gave me duff advice totally shocking experience

Worse insurance company ever
Worse insurance company ever. Same like Sister company "Go Skippy". Both is a rubbish. Cancel insurance with really high fees. The amount what they charged me after canceling my contract by them was £138.71 and also they referred the matter to ICB. After more like month they expecting £328.33 by "miscalculated"? Avoid ... Avoid ... Avoid! Case is open now Financial Ombudsman Service.

Seems to be excellent customer service…
Seems to be excellent customer service with the most cost effective quote considering the level of cover, only time will tell if this carries on for the whole of the policy but positive start.
Not a company I have used before but worth a look if you want competitive vehicle insurance cover?
This is our first time using Vavista…
This is our first time using Vavista but they were the best quote with the most benefits. It was a quick and easy process and short wait time to get through to a representative which I liked.
Very disappointed.
Very disappointed. I accepted their quote for my car insurance and paid my first month deposit. Next morning I got a call to say that they wouldn't accept monthly payments and I had to either pay in full or in 4 monthly (consecutive) payments. That is not what I wanted so I said I wanted to cancel; policy wasn't due to start for weeks. I was told I would be charged a £25 cancellation fee - for a policy that hadn't started and that THEY had declined to honour. Very poor. They shouldn't have taken the first months payment if there was a decision pending on monthly payments. Or they should refund the whole amount. Not a good start.

Very good service and price very easy to do 😃
Excellent insurer
Excellent insurer. Found via a comparison website and wasn’t the cheapest, but the high Defacto rating swayed me for just a couple of pounds a month extra. Very happy so far.
Very helpful and understanding
I initially insured my Audi A6 Avant in…
I initially insured my Audi A6 Avant in March 2025 for a reasonable price, not the cheapest, I recently purchased a second hand approved used Audi from a dealership and had a drive away insurance, I immediately contacted Vavista via the portal where it said to contact them directly, I did this and was told it had to referred to the underwriters and could take up to 14 days for a reply, I rang again the next day and they hadn’t heard from the underwriters I asked if they could contact them urgently as my drive away insurance was about to run out, so they did this, then got back to me saying the underwriter hadn’t even looked at it.
I then said I would have to have an answer on that day, they said I could ring back later, I’m a shift worker and unable to have my phone on site, so I said the the policy would have to be cancelled, the operator then said there was a £75 fee for this after much arguing they agreed to waiver the fee, I was then told that it could take up to 28 days for the money owed to me to come back to my account although it came back into my account a lot quicker.
I have also lost 5 months of no claims.
If you are thinking of using this insurance company make sure you are not going to change your vehicle before your expiry date YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

Ok prices to start ... then ADMIN FEES!!!
Absolutely awful company ... completely driven to charge, charge,charge.... £50 to just change number plate? .... £112 to cancel policy? ... £34 per month and had for 99 days due to bereavement... these jokers have charged more than having my 30k car insured for a year?? ... ridiculous fees .. will NEVER use again!

Avoid at All Costs
My experience with Vavista Car Insurance was absolutely awful. I had to cancel my policy as my car broke down and had to be scrapped, I was paying over £215 a month to insure my tiny Peugeot, they still went ahead and charged me after cancellation with zero explanation. I was chasing them for 13 days straight, trying to get answers – emails, phone calls – and got nowhere. No one could tell me what was going on, and the lack of communication was beyond frustrating.
I’ve never dealt with a company so unhelpful. It felt like I was being completely ignored, while they continued to take money from me without any justification. Extremely unprofessional and frankly, unacceptable.
Avoid Vavista if you value your time, money, or sanity.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, YOU CANT DRIVE ANY OTHER CAR WITH THIS INSURANCE. AND THEY CHARGE YOU TO CANCEL THE POILCY AFTER 1 DAY IN THE COOLING OFF PERIOD. WISH I HAD READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE. MONEY GRABBING COMPANY 🤬

Terrible
Terrible, do not go near. Always always read the fine prints before agreeing to the car insurance.
You're not covered to drive another car but it's written right at the bottom of page three of the insurance certificate where no one will see and it is not included in the main body.
Others make it very clear but they did not.

You cannot administer your account…£££ costly
You cannot administer your account online, as the company suggest, so you get hit with an admin charge every time you need to do any changes to your policy. Cheap if you simply want a cover note, £104.08 to cancel a £350 policy, so beware, if you think you might be changing your car or anything in next 12 months, don;t buy their cover. FYI complaint raised, but they are not even FCA regulated in the UK
