Insane import fees & lack of transparency
I ordered a $146 USD pair from VEJA, they charged me $30 for delivery on UPS Express, which is totally fine and acceptable, as it's international shipping.
At first, my delivery was moving smoothly, it exited France, arrived in Germany, then the US and then it arrived to my city in Mexico, but then once again left to the US, then again to Mexico, but not my city this time.
This seemed strange, but I didn't mind at first, that's until UPS requested $1251.50 MXN ($68 USD approximately) from me for "import & tariff fees", likely because my package entered & exited the US twice.
I was basically forced to pay $98 USD total just to receive a $146 USD pair of shoes.
Nowhere in the checkout or my receipt was it established that import fees could apply for my order and that they would represent almost 50% of my order , but of course, it's buried in their Terms of Service, there was no explicit warning.
I'll never shop on VEJA anymore due to this lack of transparency and their customer support taking AGES to respond, they do not allow you to cancel the order and only pay the shipping costs either, absolutely diabolical.

The "information" was a simple disclaimer that states "The buyer will be responsible for all applicable government taxes, administrative fees, and customs duties.", this isn't close to enough when we're talking about almost 50% of my order value, do better VEJA.

Never buying Vejas again
After less than a month of minimal wear the leather is already coming apart. I’ve never had a pair of leather shoes crumble so quickly. Customer support offered no help or warranty. This will be my first and last pair of Vejas. Buyers beware!

I never received the shoes
I never received the shoes. The tracking number was wrong. 2 weeks after I should have received the shoes, customer service sent me another invalid tracking number which was not working. After a month I asked where were my shoes and as I waited so long if it would have been possible get a discount: p they turned impolite on the answer naming was not possible because they always keep prices as low as possible and keeping production sustainable. After another week they told me there have been problems on the shipping, the shoes were on the way back to store and I would receive the refund once the receive the shoes. If I never got the shoes why should I still wait for refund? Anyway after other 2 weeks still no refund

Horrible
I'm obsessed with the shoes and I have hundreds of pairs. Also it's the first time I am giving so bad feedback. I have them for a year and they got torn at the back and I have hardly worn them. Apart from this, they' re very hard material inside and outside so, very uncomfortable. Very bad quality, I would definitely NOT recommend. Other sneakers I have used such as Nike, have lasted for years and after multiple washings. Wouldn't buy it again.

Love the shoes. Super comfortable. Have had for about 3 months and wear for everything - work, gym, light hikes, and just general walking and have held up really well. Look great also. The buying experience was quick and easy.

Shoes not weatherproof & disappointing customer support
Bought Veja V90 White Mesh Umber. The shoes were fine until I got caught in the rain for the first time. The rain caused the pigment in the suede Veja logos to run into the mesh, permanently discolouring the logos and staining the shoes orange.
Customer support labelled walking in the rain as “improper use” and refused my warranty claim, ridiculous.

Unfortunately, suede and mesh are delicate materials that are not recommended for use in rainy or wet conditions. Water exposure can cause the suede’s pigment to bleed and alter the appearance of the shoe.
As this results from an external factor, it cannot be covered under our warranty.
