Catalogue of Errors

AVOID CREDIT / 8 WEEK PAYMENT INCENTIVE - they will use whatever they can to keep you in their debt;
Very sent me the wrong laptop and on realisation that they had actually advertised the wrong product (image and spec online different to what I received), I called to explain and have the return authorised. They refused this and told me I owned it outright because the laptop had been powered (not set up) even if just for a few seconds. After three weeks and under the advice of a financial ombudsmen they finally accepted the return BUT now are telling me I still owe the delivery and service charges for registering an account...
I can’t understand how this is possible if they have misold - surely I should not pay delivery for this. I also want my account completely deactivated so why should I be bound to the service fee when I’ve received NO service? All staff are rude and standoffish and had to be chased, one told me she was not removing the charge and would leave it on there to effect my credit rating!! Not once did someone call me back or symphathise with the fact that their error had brought about all this nonsense!
Unproffessional, possibly illegal and downright rude!

Ripped off

Ripped off.

I've been ripped off by this company. I went to purchase an item, and their website timed out and said there was an error, but my card got charged for the item anyway. I have made two complaints to their customer service team to no reply. I have been trying to resolve this to no avail. This is appalling- I have been ripped off.

Absolutley faultless!!!!

Absolutley faultless!!!!

Ordered a Karen Millen top on Thursday and collected it today from click n collect point. Informed by email and text throughout the process. Top arrived packaged in lovely tissue paper and put inside a Very gift bag then into a secure sturdy box.

Cannot find any faults at all with my first time experience using this company and it certainly wont be my last. The top was also less than half price and sold out in Debenhams and other stores.

Well done Veryexclusive......Thank you.

Sceptical at first, but very pleased with service and product

I was hesitant to order from this site at first because i always check the reviews of a site before i use them, and this has pretty bad reviews so i was sceptical. But they had a bag i had been wanting for a few months and it finally came on sale on this site, so i thought i'd treat myself.
the product came as expected, great quality and well packaged. I am very pleased with the bag, and even happier because i got a great deal! It was also delivered on time with standard delivery, the customer service team on the online chat service was very helpful and informative.
My experience with the company has been really great and i would definitely recommend this site to others.

Appalling customer service

I bought a lovely SVP laborodite ring which sadly the stone fell out of. After sending it back and requesting a replacement or refund, I received a crefit to my account. However, a week later I received a parcel which was the faulty ring and a note saying that ‘after a full inspection’ it was found to be ‘cosmetically damaged’ and that a £3.95 charge was being applied to my account to cover the cost of sending it back and that I could not have a refund. The ring was not cosmetically damaged. The stone fell out with no damage to the ring at all, I don’t even have the stone as it fell out without me realising.
With the amount of money I spend on Very Exclusive, I am appalled that this is the level of respect that you show your customers. I will not purchase high value items again.

Wrong item delivered!

I ordered a pair of shoes and received the wrong ones. The delivery note even says the wrong item. I would never have ordered the shoes they sent. Very irritating and inconvenient.

Was very unsure about ordering from …

Was very unsure about ordering from this website due to the reviews, however a Paul Smith jacket reduced from £250 to £75 could not stop me. It was delivered with in 2 days which is a quick and sharp sale, would definitely come here again.

Worst experience

Worst experience! I ordered pair of shoes last week and was suppose to be delivered on the 13th Dec which is almost a week ago now! Since then I tried to contact customer service a couple of days ago but they weren't picking up the phone. I waited for more days to get my shoes and the delivery was still not delivered at the pick up place store. I just called them again today and firstly had to wait for about 10 min in line to speak to an advisor, then when I did speak to someone they said they were going to look into it for me and they left me on hold and after about 5-10 min time it was hung up on me! I then called them again and spoke to another person and they told me the department that dealt with delivery weren't answering or busy...
I now sit and frustrated and can't do anything but wait for tomorrow if the delivery of my shoes does not deliver them tomorrow I can't pick them up as I'm going for my xmas holidays for 3 weeks.
The lack of customer service for this company is disgraceful. I will await a confirmation email from the person I last spoke to about our convo today but will NEVER use this company again!! They were quick to take the money out of my account but can't help me when it comes to where my actual good is that I have paid for!??!? Really angry about this.
SPARE YOURSELF THE TIME AND STRESS AND MONEY AND SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Truly Awful

Unbelievably poor first experience using this company. Will personally not use them again, and definitely not recommend to anyone.

Ordered a men's Barbour jacket during the recent Black Friday promotion (tempted by a 25% discount), which was intended as a gift, only to be sent the wrong colour TWICE - clearly and obviously different to that advertised on the VE website, and (as confirmed by the original Barbour label still attached to both items) in a colour not currently available through VE. VE's own label incorrectly described the colour, suggesting a mix up with labelling at the suppliers? I already own this jacket in the colour that was sent, and so instantly recognised the problem.
In attempting to resolve this over most of the previous weekend, I made a total of 5 calls to the Customer Service centre based in Cape Town in South Africa, struggling at times to overcome difficulties associated with the poor quality of the phone line (VOIP?), and apparent indifference of the call handlers. My notes from previous calls were apparently not recorded and acted upon - I received no promised call back on reporting the problem with my first order. When I attempted to submit a complaint through their online webform it kept responding with "your session has expired" after several attempts over a number of hours, and despite the information being correctly entered at each stage of the complaint process There is no other facility to email VE or the Shop Direct Group regarding this matter. On Saturday evening (2nd Dec), the Customer Service contact number was unavailable after 6pm due to "technical difficulties".
On agreeing to a replacement, I was sent the wrong colour on a second occasion, and (to add insult to injury) charged the full, non-discount price to my VE credit account rather than my credit card with which I had paid originally. I had been assured that I would pay the original discounted price only.
I am very disappointed and somewhat annoyed that have now missed the opportunity to give this jacket as a gift at the intended time, and have had to resort to paying full price from an alternative high street retailer.
I have returned both jackets recently through the Collectplus service (which on a positive note appears to have been without incident) but remain somewhat sceptical about when, or even whether, any payments will be refunded soon judging by the sheer volume of negative reviews by customers facing similar issues with both Very and Very Exclusive. Wish I had discovered these earlier - check them here, and under "Very".

Nothing "Exclusive" about this service. Truly Awful, more like. You have been warned!

They should have had updated system then, but they don't.
My address can not found but this is a Royal Mail registered address

Shocking, never use again, would not recommend.

Placed my first order on line for next day delivery. Had no email confirmation so called the following day and my order hadn't gone through as apparently there is a problem if you order via a tablet. I placed the order with a lady in customer service again, so had to pay again and then speak to accounts about refunding the previous payment. This could take upto 10 days I was told. Checked on my order again as had received no tracking information only to be told it still hadn't gone through and there was a problem with their IT. Now I am in the situation of 2 payments being pending in my bank account and no goods. I was told to contact my bank. Would never recommend, and agree there is nothing Very Exclusive about this company.

Order arrived at wrong location

I ordered a dress from their website to be delivered to a Collect+ point near my house. I specifically chose this website because I thought it would be simpler than locating a store that had this dress (as it was the last in stock).

The dress was delivered so I go to the collection point. It's not there. I look at the collection message again... it was delivered but to an address that is nowhere near where I live. Almost 1 hour travel from where I live and I am unable to get to the location. As it was the last one in size I cannot even order a replacement.

Never shopping with them again. Still awaiting refund.

Nothing exclusive about this company

Placed my order 3 weeks ago and it was lost by Collect+. I contacted veryexclusive and they suggested to send a new parcel with the same items via yodel to be delivered next day. It never arrived and on the tracking information they were saying that they needed additional address info but they had all of it and just refused to deliver the parcel. I spoke to veryexclusive several times and they kept saying that it would be definitely be delivered a day after. Almost 2 weeks ago now I asked them to cancel it and refund me money. They said that they can't refund my money until they receive the parcel which I haven't even seen!!!! They don't answer the calls and I hope I will still get my refund in the new year. Definitely won't be shopping with them again until they change their courier and improve their customer service.

Never again!!

I came across Very Exclusive while searching for a specific item which they happened to have in stock. Loved the website and the selection, everything seemed great and they offered next day delivery. The item never arrived. I kept calling them for a week, customer service was very unhelpful and just kept saying it will arrive today etc. Nobody seemed to take any action. After endless calls and wasting my time, I eventually managed to get the order cancelled (they first refused to do that). Now over a week later I am still chasing for a refund! The same story again they promise yes today it will happen every time I call. Horrible and stressing experience, will never order again and would not recommend using this company.

Great value designer products & speedy delivery!

I saw a recent sale on their website and ended up purchasing some treats that I would not have usually tried due to the amazing discounts on them at the time!
Delivery was excellent- next day to a local convenience store- and the products were packaged very well- I would have been happy to send them as a gift!
Overall very happy with my purchases and the service provided...will definitely be shopping with them again!
